They do not honor the 24 hr grace period rule. I bought a ticket and canceled it 10 mins after I booked. However, they I was charged 218 USD and the excuse was them not being able to get all the money from the airline!
I have contacted the customer service several times but have not heard a proper answer why I lost 218 USD!
Kiwi will book for you with the cheapest airlines in the world with big chances of cancelation and extra charges for luggage and check-in, I tried once and end up paying £480 extra because my flight was delayed 36 hours and my connection flight was missed due to that delay. They refused to refund this extra expense and I end up paying double of the ticket price because I choose to save some $$ by booking through Kiwi. Stay away from Kiwi..
They purchased our flights but conviently 'forgot' to add the baggage we purchased. When I called they refused to issue a refund, despite admitting they failed to purchase the luggage, until we submitted evidence we had repurchased the baggage and submitted a refund claim. Minor compared to other airline horror stories but would still suggest avoiding if you can.
I had problems with adding baggage-the app reported me that it isnt possible because i can only do so until 36h before my flight, but in fact my flight was several days ahead at the time i was trying to add this service! The process is very automatic without flexible possibility to modify the passanger's needs. There is no real possibility to promptly contact someone-no chat, no phone number! I had to go to the website and search for some numbers, which makes the app useless. The lady on the phone was nice but she did not mention that her services are paid and only after receiving e-mail i discovered that ordering the baggage costs more that the baggage! Very disappointing, in my opinion. I do not plan to use this system again. Thanks
This is a fraudulent company. I would not be surprised if they had multiple ongoing lawsuits.
I booked a round trip to and from NY to Catania, Italy. On the front end of the trip, there was an airline strike for over 24 hours. On the backend of the trip, a volcano exploded.
Both clearly uncontrollable events that are outside of the ordinary - Kiwi said they could not refund or rebook any of my travel plans. I ended up having to spend an addition $1000 euros to be in Italy for 48 hours, with multiple layovers and unplanned hotel expenses in random countries. They were completely unhelpful - No one answers the phone, and if they do, you can't get connected to a Supervisor for 4 hours. If I had just booked my flights directly through the airlines myself, all of my travel would have been covered under a regular airline policy - and I ended up paying a total cost of twice the normal amount because I even bothered to use kiwi in the first place.
Kiwi.com is a ripoff agent. They should not be in business. They charged me twice for a flight and will not refund my money. They have thousands of negative reviews. They owe me $196.53. They charged me 2x after giving me the option to change my flight. A different agent responds to your refund enquiry. They are super unprofessional. I am surprised they are still in business while there are so many negative reviews.

I booked a ticket through KIWI and they missed my last name in the boarding pass and I ended up paying more money in "kiwi services" to compensate for their mistake. I will never ever recommend anyone to book through them again
Worst site. Be aware before booking. They book different segment of flight with diff PNR. One flight canceled you stuck midway. Or you can't get full refund. Not giving booking number so you can't check by yourself. You have to provide your passport detail. Cancel Refund all you need to do. They don't help at all. Just telling you to fill up forms. Very rude customer care. Hopeless Useless Fraud people. They need 90 days for refund even if flight canceled. I have been looted other pl be careful. Never ever use this booking site RedFlag
If you care for money never go for this service. I booked frontier from LAS to SEA, after boarding the flight the fligt was cancelled. Stupid frontier airlines did refund just the tickets leaving us stranded at the airport. No hotel, no flight costed us 1k to get back our expense. The refund to Kiwi happened then and there and Kiwi Customer care takes 3 months to refund back the amount they say. Airlines refunded them and they take soo long to get us back our money after so much inconvenience we have learned not to run for cheap airlines and 3 rd party websites.
I bought tickets through Kiwi.com last year and have been waiting 11 months for a refund. Their idea of good customer service seems to be to reply quickly but palm off the customer with empty promises and generic statements about the holdup being the fault of Covid-19 and/or the airline. I contacted the airline directly and they confirmed that they had passed on my full refund to Kiwi.com over three months ago. Kiwi.com still say they are waiting for the carrier. They bald-face lie to customers, cause tons of unnecessary stress and illegally hold onto customers' money.
Do not use this company unless you enjoy being missold tickets, lied to and losing large sums of money.
Don't ever book any flights or anything via this site. It's a bunch of fradulent people who had cheated me about $3000. They never refunded me the amount I pleaded atleast for half the cost but still nothing was provided. Their policies are utter rubbish and only formed just to cheat people to the max and loot the money. Please please stay away from this travel company to safeguard your valuable and hard earned money.
The saddest part is that they are not able to help even during this tough time of COVID, as what would one do in terms of the travel restrictions and uncertainty we are all facing. But KIWI travel company is there only to cheat and not to help during this time. Avoid them at all cost and it's a pure fraudulent group of people.
Kiwi sold me a trip for 277 eur consisting in 4 flights, for which I paid the flexi option.
A flight was cancelled and kiwi offered me a totally different and uncomfortable time for another flight and I accepted the change and I had to pay Kiwi additional 54 eur (already you can see how this company works, exploiting the situation).
Another flight was cancelled and kiwi offered a trip flight consisting in 2 flights adding to my trip 20 hours of travel! And in addition requested me to pay 80 euro.
I tried to call kiwi but nobody answer to the phone and nobody answer to the messages. I checked on various websites and I saw there are available direct flights to buy as new tickets for prices lower than what Kiwi wants me to add to what I already paid for their 20 hours trip!

Complete duckup - all flights confirmed but 1st leg marked as refunded at the airport. What now? I told them there are still seats available - they can only book up to 4hrs before take off they said... Hello - I called in 6 hrs before takeoff you numbnuts! Wasted my time completely - 2 hrs before takeoff I asked what proof have I got that the remaining flights are ok if I buy the 1st leg myself? I did not want to get stuck overseas... Terrible! The worse experience I ever had, together with skyscanner. They should call them skyscammer!. Booked a trip to Montengro consisting in 3 different flights. I couldn't check in online, not allowed, the luggage policies on their website are wrong. Ther e-ticket they provide you doesn't inform you which tarif you have, so no way to find out until you check in at the counters. Call them few times to find out, there had no idea or they couldn't explain. Terrible experience, end up costing me almost twice the amount advertised. I won't recommend and I will never never use it again.
They do not book connecting flights together so you must go through immigration to a country you aren't visiting and stand in so many lines. Pray your transfer time isn't close together or that you need a visa for the country you're passing through. This is the most infuriating flight trip I've been on. Thankfully we had plenty of layover time and no countries needed visas... Now I have so many extra stamps in my passport and stood in far too many lines and went too many wrong places not knowing what to do. I also hate extant machines and I had to go through so many extra of those! Grrrrrrrrrrr
I had a flight booked from London to Amsterdam to Mexico City to Cancun and then back with the same transfers. My flight got cancelled from Amsterdam to Mexico City to Cancun and back the only flights that were left for the Amsterdam ones and Kiwi is now saying that they will only refund me £90 in kiwi credit. They have not made any available wait for me to contact them whenever I called it said they won't help anybody unless you're travelling and they have basically stole my money. I am now seeking legal help from a lawyer which is going to help me Sue kiwi as they have stolen my money. Also I paid through PayPal and on my itinerary there is a credit card on there and it says show this credit card as the credit card you booked with but it's not my credit card it is all a scam. They're also saying I have to pay money for them to try and recover my funds. Do not ever use them again
Terrible attention online, non responsive page and no direct way to contact anyone in the platform, and once the date of my flight that they cancelled had passed they stopped responding, owing more than 300 EUR for more than 6 months, when the contract said clearly, 3 months.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
