I booked a round trip form Detroit to San Francisco and kiwi just messaged me informing me about a "small change in flight times" and I found out my return flight to Detroit went from 7hrs total flight time to 21hrs 16 minutes flight time. When I asked for a refund the website tells me I can get $11 back total. Their "helplines" just hang up on me because I am not currently traveling. Do not use this site under any means, just go with another site. Saving $30 is not worth the hassle and scam tendencies this company has.
Do not use Kiwi if you have a long journey ahead of you! It is too complicated for them. They will make mistakes and not refund you.
I have had such a terrible time with Kiwi. I am shocked by their lack of thought with the various airlines that they booked me on and the countries that they are flying me into for what should be a very simple journey.
I have had to rebook an entirely new ticket with another agent as Kiwi booked me two flights with the connection in between being too short and so I would miss the second flight. I told Kiwi this and they could not care less.
Learn from my mistake and do not use these online agents. It will cost you far more in the long run and take up so much of your time.
Kiwi found an itinerary for $200 less than I would have paid with the airline directly. All flights were on the same airline. Everything worked as planned. Just make sure to deny all of the upsells in the sales process and you're good to go. And you can book baggage directly with the airline usually.
Never seen a flight provider like this. Absolutely disgusting. Still waiting for a refund for a booking which was cancelled due to Covid one year ago. 250 dollars down the drain. I blame myself for not researching better…
Kiwi cancelled my flight the day of the flight with no extra refund so I was forced to cancel my hotel reservation and eat the whole costs. Never use them! Customer service links are impossible to find
They will just take your money and doesn't care even if they are selling flights that are not available. Should update their website immediately so that it will not mislead people especially during this time of situations.
We had two easyjet flights - luggage was not checked through and first plane was delayed (without getting any notification by the staff) and no change to get the connection flight. No support, no refund whatsoever from Kiwi
I booked flights through Kiwi with Ryanair, my co-worker booked directly. She got to check-in early and got a free seat choice. Kiwi won't check me in, or let me choose the seat for free. Turns out they have problems checking in with Ryanair and might be that I won't be able to check-in on-line at all, will have to pay and ask Kiwi for a refund. My colleague has none of these problems, and an aisle seat - guess which seat I will get when checking in at the airport. AVOID KIWI.
The WORST.
Charging cancellation fees when canceling due to government flight restrictions, not replaying on messages (mails, messenger) for 3 days, asking for "prove documents" with mail and declining them cause they are sent as an attachment in a mail. And this one got me furious "Any changes to the booking after departure are not available." - Really? I was trying to make changes to the flight before departure, and contacted you for instructions in the particular case, before departure, and got your response after departure. Now I get why is there Kiwi scam page!

Never (one more time NEVER) use kiwi.com! And not because of covid or something else, but because their system could say you have a booking, while when you go to the airport you do discover they haven't booked the flight, you don't have a seat and the flight is full (so even if you would like to buy a new ticket yourself, you can't do it).
This happened to me. And now while they initially replied (before they confirmed their system is faulty) now they even stop replying. Still waiting for the refund (that they confirmed will issue).
But the bigger problem is that they messed my complete itinerary as after that I had another connecting flight.
So one more time - book directly with the airline companies and don't use kiwi.com as an incompetent and uncapable middle man.
A nightmare, I am unable to get in contact with them for boarding passes they haven't sent, even when I filled in all the required information in order to receive the boarding passes. I even tried to contact them for other questions however am unable to receive a clear or any answer at all. Next time I will definitely NOT book with Kiwi.com! Rather pay more then have so many insecurities, horrible services and the fear of the organisation being a scam.
If you have any other option, including adding more money to book with a different website, do it. Kiwi.com has one goal and it is to scare the passenger to paying more money on unnecessary thins, like extra insurences etc...
If you are not fast enough with their awful UI they will increase the price of your flight while booking it.
Had to make changes in air tickers issued by kiwi. After long search I did find a telephone number to contact the agency, only to get the automated response, that my booking number, printed on my invoice is invalid. Lost a lot of money, its a complete joke, don't go there.
NEVER use kiwi.com. I booked a flight early 2020 and the flights were cancelled. Understandable with everything going on this year. There were several options to get a refund, a few of which were paid options to get them to "expedite" your refund process. I chose the assisted option, which said it would take up to 3 months to get a refund. I figured I wasn't in a hurry, 3 months is no bid deal. I didn't want to pay extra for a service that should be free. It's now been over 7 months and all I get from them is "we are working on it" reply. This year has been full of extenuating circumstances, I understand that things can be complicated. But over 7 months waiting for my refund is entirely unacceptable. So if there is any risk that flights might get moved or cancelled, DO NOT use Kiwi.com.
The fare I booked was good but they automatically checked me into my flight 10 DAYS early... I had gotten a new passport so was planning on changing the number on my booking in the week leading up to my flight. But since they had already checked me in so ridiculously early, they charged me a 10 euro fee to get my new boarding pass... for a $45 flight. They gave me no warning beforehand they'd check me in so early. It also took 5 days and emails to get a resolution on the updated info even though they said it would be processed in 48 hours. Won't use them again.

The return flight was delayed by more than 45 hours. I canceled the order and was promised a refund within 3 months.
Nothing happened and only excuses.
Avoid this company. Any flight change can cost you a lot of money!
Absolute scam: Kiwi.com suggested to pay for the sport equipment in advance before the flight, charged $200, at the airport the paid invoice did not work at the check-in and I was asked to pay again for the same thing but $50.
So Kiwi charges 4 times more for the same thing, and this service does not even work.
Of course it takes forever to get a refund.
KIWI.com recently sold me a fake flight and did not inform me that the flight was no more. I had to pay 1500 euros for a new flight and it ruined my holiday. For the past month I have been chasing up the compensation but they have been far from helpful. This company is not a legitimate company do not book through them, they will steal from you!
Kiwi.com claims that carriers cancel flights & then refuse to give a refund. If you call the carrier, 9/10 they'll say that the flight was not canceled in the first place, maybe delayed, but if it's cancelled, they refund their customers... meaning that Kiwi.com receives the refund, but the customer does not. I don't know how Kiwi.com is allowed to literally steal money from their customers.
Kiwi have not responded to our refund of flights which kiwi cancelled.
Booking made 20/5/22 and then kiwi cancelled this transaction on 28/5/22 but have not refunded us. We have been chasing them by email as there is no phone number to call them on.
No refund ever received in full for £2,385.73. We did not accept any credits of £85 because we are not happy to use Kiwi again.
Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.

Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.

If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.

Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
