These are the worst possible of travel apps. They didn't pay the airline for the flights but book you on it. I had to buy a whole new ticket and reclaim the cash back. Awful
I have flown multiple times with Kiwi.com and made my transfers by the skin of my teeth. Once in the past I didn't make my connection due to a delayed flight and was eventually compensated by Kiwi.com for my new flight/hotel/ etc. which made me dumb enough to book again with them.
Tonight the same thing happened only this time I was told that even with my delayed flight (1 hour) I should have had enough time to make my connection. Which involved moving from an international terminal to a domestic terminal (a 30 minute walk) and checking in all within 1 hour. How is that possible? Obviously Kiwi.com agents think I have some sort of teleportation super power.
Anyway, I won't be making the mistake of booking with Kiwi.com again, trusting their Kiwi.com Guarantee crap (a lie - they will get out of paying your next flight, hotels, other incurred costs etc. in any way they can), and relying on their help desk which is infamously bad at responding when you are stranded in a foreign country with no next flight.
I've had to cancel my holiday and all my other bookings due to this mishap, plus spend hundreds on a flight home, hotel and so on because I simply cannot afford to book a new flight to get to my destination.
Do not trust. Avoid at all costs!
We had our flights cancelled by the airlines because of covid. Kiwi wouldn't refund our money. They said to contact the alirlines directly. We did, only to discover that Kiwi had already received our money back from the airlines. They blame the airlines as a way to keep our money! They are dishonest and set up their system to keep people from contacting them. DO NOT USE KIWI!

I booked my flights from LAX to Grand Rapids and I didnt get to get on any of my flights. First, because the flights were delayed. I missed ALL my flights because of the delays and KIWI's only solution was for me to wait an extra 24 hours? While Im alone and have no where to stay? I called and spoke to about 3 different people, all of which started laughing when all i did was try to get some help. So on top of losing out on $1800 +, The customer service was terrible and DISRESPECTFUL. And guess what? I got NO refund. At ALL. I didnt even make it to my vacation, out all that money, and feel violated and financially abused by this company and their staff. CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN. Consider this a warning to all potential customers! DO NOT BOOK HERE. You're better off booking directly with the airlines. They dont even deserve one star. They deserve the close down for good.
First of all you cannot even reach them, because they only let you communicate through machines with automatic responses. We were supposed to check in online and it did not work. Tried it several times but they had technical issues (see attached photo). We decided to do the check in at the airport and we were charged by the airline for CHECKing IN 110 EUROs for two tickets! This is clearly a scam and they are probably sharing profits with RyanAir after having they Sh*t website technical issues. SHame on such a service. Tickets this was were not cheap at ALL. Also I paid for extra luggage for both tickets and they have charged us on the way back telling us that we have paid only for having extra luggage for one way! BTW it was never written anywhere that we have bought it for one way. Who freaking buys extra luggage for one way? Terrible terrible. Shame on them. This was the first and last time I book anything through them.
Please buy a more expensive ticket because these cheap KIWI tickets will be eventually even more expensive and you will have no idea what you have bought.
I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Kiwi.com. I recently booked a trip through this agency, and it was a terrible experience that almost caused me to miss my flights on several occasions.
The agency misled me about hidden costs, which ended up costing me a lot more than I originally budgeted for. I found out at the last minute, which led to unnecessary stress and frustration.
Furthermore, they failed to deliver some of the services that I had paid for, which added to my overall disappointment. The travel agency's lack of communication and inattention to detail made things even worse than they should have been.
I barely made my flights on time, and only because I had to spend extra money to change my itinerary and make alternate arrangements. I'm extremely disappointed about the entire experience and would advise others to avoid Kiwi.com at all costs.
In summary, my experience with Kiwi.com was a complete disaster. They provided misleading information, hidden costs, and poor customer service, which led to a stressful and expensive trip. I strongly advise anyone considering booking travel through Kiwi.com to look elsewhere.
My flight from NYC to Mexico was cancelled due to weather, and Kiwi gave me two options: either cancel the booking and get full money back, or PAY to re-book the flight, which was 80% the price of the original flight. As I was in a rush, I paid to re-book and spend way more than if I just went with a regular carrier. You get what you pay for folks. DO NOT USE.
THE WORST customer service, beware of this scammers they will charge your credit card for the service that you have not signed up for. And they will try to tell you about non refundable service they you have clicked on.
I booked in mid-June and since then, flights have been cancelled TWICE. The first time, June 24, Ryanair cancled the first leg and the so-called alternatives Kiwi offered all cost a lot more on top of what I had already paid. So I asked for a refund and booked a new itinerary at a much higher price. Nine days later, the first leg of this itinerary was also cancelled (Wizzair). The Wizzair flight was moved to THREE DAYS later, which doesn't work for my partner and me because we are supposed to sail out of Rhodes by then. Kiwi is USELESS. They offer you pittance ($65 out of $357 as their "instant refund" and no more), and there's no way of knowing what their deal is with the airlines and whether any refunds will be provided, given that the airline is at fault. NEVER again will I use this site.
Had to cancel my $222 dollar flight to Cancun. If I had booked directly with the airline I would have gotten a full refund. Kiwi gave me an $11.32 refund! Thanks you crooks.
I had 3 connections from Delhi to Canada.
I called all three airlines regarding visa requirements and luggage policy. They did not give me a definitive answer. But when I got to the airport Etihad airlines refused to give me a boarding pass. My following flights had a stop in Spain and Germany. As an Indian citizen I was required to have a Schengen visa in Spain, but not in Germany. But I told them that I'm Canadian permanent resident and as per the embassy website, I'm allowed to go. Etihad staff told me contact the embassy and get it in writing from them. Embassy closes at 4 pm. Etihad or kiwi.com didn't help me out. The following airlines also did not refund my baggage and additional service fee which I paid directly on their website.
My father was critically sick and my grandmother just had passed away. I had no strength of fighting these people who did not want to listen or understand. I lost $1350.
Just book from the reputable airlines's website. Don't travel by air if you don't need to. Don't leave your countries to move to another. The struggle is real.
Totally corrupt business. I booked a flight round trip from Bogata to Leticia. They have changed the flight over 3 times. Now the flight is listed at 20:00pm instead of 8:00am and I am told that it is because the airline made the change and not them. So I went directly to the airline and the flight still exists. Now Kiwi is telling me if I want that flight time again I have to pay an additional $95 dollars or cancel and looses all my money but $10. By opening my email they said I agreed to the changes when I clicked to look at the flight. What?!~! I already booked the flight in July for the time at 8am I am now being told I have to pay for more money if I want that flight. Total theft. I have also been told they can do this since the change in flight is less than 24 hours. Don't use them unless you want to have no clue what flight you will actually end up on or you want to give these thieves your money.
The WORST company I have EVER come across. I booked a flight to then receive an email saying the flight price has gone up - I have two options 1 to either pay the difference or 2 receive full cancellation. I chose to cancel the entire booking. The payment has been sitting in my PENDING TRANSACTIONS in my bank so KIWI have technically NOT taken my money, simply just "held" it however telling me it takes up to 10 WORKING DAYS for MY money to become available again... what kind of nonsense is this!? Then refuse to give an authorisation code to give to my bank to try and process this faster due to "international banking laws". No way, technically haven't taken my money yet the funds are not available in my account therefore they should give me my money back fast and easy the same way they tried to take it! NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT BOOK. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EITH CALLS THAT CHARGE YOU AND THEY PUT YOU On hold for a good 5 minutes to get more money out of you.
Cancelled my trip 2 days before the departure, no full refund, offered me a new flight for 6 times the price (700 Euros), is like an SCAM, two times booked, two times cancelled.

I picked kiwi because it was cheaper than directly going to the airline and regardless of the reviews I didn't think an issue would happen with me and I was wrong.
Unless you buy the "Kiwi Guarantee" you will not be supported.
My flight with WizzAir was severely delayed and legally they offer an alternative or refund and this states it in the website. Kiwi maintained that because I don't have the guarantee I will have to pay regardless even though the carrier has offered it for free.
I tried to manage this directly with WizzAir, unfortunately Kiwi uses their account to book your ticket so my booking details were under their WizzAir account hence I could not manage it.
Forget about Kiwi's customer service, it was back and forth with either people who do not know what to do, or with robots.
Finally after stress, I managed to find a number for WizzAir after a lot of digging and they let me book an alternative flight for free despite me booking via a third party. An excellent service from them.
You're better off paying more to book directly with the carrier.

I booked a ticket through Kiwi.com from Jayapura to Singapore, going from Jayapura to Surabaya with Sriwijaya, then onwards to Singapore with Scoot.
When I arrived at the airport, I found out my flight had been cancelled. The airline showed me their correspondence, letting them know about the cancellation 48 hours prior to the flight time. Yet they never warned me or made alternative arrangements. As Scoot is a low cost carrier, I lost that 2nd ticket as well.
There were NO other flights that day to any other city, so I had to pay for a hotel night, and to rebook a ticket on a different airline, at super premium price, for the next day.
Kiwi.com didn't provide any apology, didn't take responsibility for not letting me know the flight had been cancelled, didn't consider any compensation for the additional expenses incurred, and didn't even refund the full amount (I only got back SGD 220 when the original price of the ticket was SGD 326). A total rip off.

Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.
