I ordered the necklace for my daughters graduation from college. They first contacted me saying it was out of stock and wouldn't make it in time. I responded that with everything else going on i really wanted to have it earlier. And they made it happen. She was thrilled and i was so appreciative of the efforts made to get it here on time

I had wanted classic pearl stud earrings for sometime. I decided to purchase them for myself. I was unsuccessful finding them at my local Peacocks store. The sales person was not assertive in finding the Mikimoto studs that I wanted. I searched online with my specifications and J. R. Dunne popped up. Although I was interested in 10 mm studs to match a choker that belonged to my mom. However the quality of the Okoya 8 mm fit the bill for me.
I am very satisfied with my purchase especially after the salesman from the other store called me back two weeks later with a price that was four times what I paid albeit they were 10 mm. I'm glad I found a new jewelry store. I especially like your family business story that is shared in your magazine. I come from a family business so I can appreciate the journey that you walked. A little different but it ended fantastic. I ordered the item last minute for mother's day, because I'm a guy and that's what guys do. I then received an email saying it was back order and wouldn't be here for about 2 weeks. Then it showed up like the next day! So it probably wasn't the most accurate communication, but all I care about it is exactly what she wanted and it showed up in time so I was a hero!

YOU were the most professional company that I have ever dealt with. You did not have my item in stock before Christmas so you sent us a teddy bear with picture of item. My son (who is 16) was sooooo excited when he opened up and saw the teddy bear with the picture of item. It was well wrapped from fed x when it was delivered. When my son received the item he was so pleased and so appreciative! It was by far one of the best gifts I have ever bought! And what made it more special actually was the teddy bear and the anticipation of receiving the gift. This was a very hard Christmas for me because I just recently went thru a divorce. However, with this special gift it just really made a special Christmas for me and my son! Thank you so much JR Dunn for your professionalism and for making us have a Christmas to remember!

Nice product, but UPS delivery with signature required is tough when I work Monday thru Friday, and no one was home to sign. Plus, the UPS location it was first kept at was not open weekends. Had to redirect it to another location with weekend service.
Beautiful piece. Your's is the only high quality piece I could find. I am not price shopper and wanted something that was substantial enough to last a lifetime and be a constant reminder and acknowledgment of my faith.

One of the two items was back ordered and I received an email to that effect. However. As they were for Valentine's Day, I ask that the one item that was in stock to be shipped so that I would have one gift to give. As it turned out the other item came in and both items arrived that day before Valentine's Day. Perfext
Timing and excellent customer service.
Great customer service- I was notified the minute I placed my order that the item was not in stock but they would special order it and request delivery that week in time for mother days which was that Saturday. The necklace arrived on Thursday and they overnight shipped it to arrive to my mom in time for the holiday and it was beautifully packed and even arrived with a gift from sugarfina. Will definitely shop again.

Business History
While at IBM, Jim met his future wife, Ann Marie Pelliccia, who was working as an executive secretary. Like Jim, she was driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. She was 10 years old when her family immigrated to this country from Italy. It didn’t take long for Ann Marie to master the English language and become the interpreter for her father’s cabinet-making business. She went to work every day after school with her father from age 11 until she graduated high school. Soon after, she joined the team at IBM. “It was IBM that helped us forge our philosophies about customer service and business ethics,” said Ann Marie.
The couple married in 1969 and together decided to take a chance by starting a jewelry business. With their savings of $10,000, the couple purchased a small house in Hanover, MA and converted it into their first jewelry store, The House of Gems.
During the first year, their store was burglarized and every piece of jewelry was taken, including customers’ repairs. To make matters worse, the Dunns were in between insurance policies. The couple went from door to door informing and reassuring each client that their prized possessions would be replaced. Ann Marie and Jim paid for the stolen jewelry out of their own pockets to preserve their reputation of integrity and trust.
Word spread when the couple made good on their promise, and business began to grow by leaps and bounds. The House of Gems soon outgrew its tiny location. Jim and Ann Marie relocated the store to a nearby mall in South Weymouth, MA and changed the name to J.R. Dunn Jewelers, emphasizing the importance of the family-owned and operated business.
In 1978 the couple relocated to South Florida and opened a small jewelry boutique, serving a select clientele by appointment only. This is when the Dunns were fortunate enough to have 18-year-0ld Robert Pelliccia, Ann Marie’s brother, come on board at the age of 18 and eventually start creating one-of-a-kind custom creations for their discerning clients. It didn’t take long for J.R. Dunn Jewelers to outgrow its location once again; that brought about the monumental decision to purchase a 6,000 square-foot building on Federal Highway in Lighthouse Point, Florida.
Today, J.R. Dunn Jewelers has expanded to 8,000-square-feet showroom in Lighthouse Point and is an Official Rolex Jeweler conveniently located between Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale just and just under an hour from Miami.
