I'm the co owner of a small business Just Jewelry, we needed to create form and surveys for our store. While searching the internet Jot form was one of the best survey builder platforms i could find. JotForm has been really helpful to manage all the survey and pre-order forms I needed to make for my small business, just jewelry. It has been very easy, everything is in one place and it is a very easy site to use. I especially love how easy the site is to set up pre-order forms, with several templates to choose from. I really liked this website and would definitely recommend using it. Best of all its free! Really enjoying using this site.

I am attempting to use their system for basic client forms and onboarding. We are an accounting firm that has a need for a jotform-like solution. I shared my login with a support team to download a form and have since been locked out of the system. Try contacting support, no response; I reached out to sales to see if I could pay for a more convenient solution, but their business case from free to enterprise requires a $500+ jump in price. Avoid at all costs you may get locked out and never see your client data again...

I signed up for free service to utilize Jotform for a Vietnam Veteran Breakfast my community and I will host this March 2024. I came across Jotform on youtube and it seemed like a good choice. I created 3 exceptional forms with hours and hours of fine tuning and input from multiple volunteers. I put my confidence in Jotform and was optimistic this process would save us time from doing it manually as we had done the previous year. Everything was going fine for about 3 weeks then today the QR codes stopped working, people are calling me, I am locked out. So, I reached out to customer service online and received an initial reply where I was asked to provide documentation that I am legitimate. I am like WHAT?!?! Why didn't they ask me about all this when I signed up. Customer Service says 24/7! I have tried to connect multiple times in the last 10 hours with no response. I complied with everything they asked for to prove my legitimacy. Shame on me for not backing up what I created! To recreate this would take a boat load of time. I don't know if I am more furious or heart broken. I pride myself on doing my best for my community and our Veterans. This makes me and my good efforts look unprofessional. And yes it makes Jotform look unprofessional too. Subscribers, buyer, user please BEWARE!

Jotform told us that we were on a legacy plan and that "as long as you don't change your subscription, you'll enjoy that price for the rest of your life." Then they renewed our subscription with a 58% increase. Their support has been unhelpful. I've asked for the issue to be addressed and escalated but all I get is an apology for the 'inconvenience'. To my mind this is a breach of trading laws, so we'll be talking to our legal team. I wish there was a way to leave a no star rating.

To further clarify, the amount displayed on the billing page before it was corrected was the discounted price, which is supposed to be the full price. Please note that the 50-percent discount you availed during the sale is a one-time offer. This means that your plan will auto-renew at the full price. Esta plataforma no ha cambiado en cada desde que la instalé, no tiene teléfono de ayuda al cliente y es imposible darte de baja como en cualquier otra compañía normal y honesta. Es un problema inclusive darte de baja de la plataforma porque no tienes quien te ayude con el proceso. Por favor buscar una opción más confiable. De saber que era tan mala ubises optado por su versión gratuita.

Este sitio no es confiable. No tienen servicio de ayuda al cliente por teléfono. Y la plataforma no tiene opción de darte de baja de tu suscripción usando la plataforma.

Basically if you are considering jotform - run away!
There support is beyond useless, they will take hours to reply, and then they will send you a link to a page that does not even close to apply to your issue. Then they are gone for hours again, only to do the same again. Its been days and i still can't get an agent to actually read my question and attempt to answer it.

Always a back end issue, for someone who uses online forms for sales it's not good. Mistakes happen fine but it's always a song and dance to fix reoccurring issues! I wa spaying monthly and all of a sudden a customer messaged me that when they went to fill out form it said I (the business) maxed out our limit of submissions (classy for customers to see), so I went online and they said I had to upgrade in order to TURN MY FORM BACK ON! After hours of being disabled and losing sales I paid it even though I was confused because I knew it was gonna take forever for customer service. When I paid I used a different email and they gave me a whole new account while also enabling my old. The new account sat there 3 months with zero forms and them taking payments now for 2 accounts. Only 1 was ever used. I kept in touch the whole time and now they won't refund me because it's past refund time. $39 3 times! Imagine if they did this to everyone and what if I didn't catch it. A lawyer would have a field day with this class action because I know I'm not alone. Jotform is $#*!, not the program itself but whoever is running behind the scenes is stealing!

The Google doc form that Jot Form eventually produced could have been produced through Google docs tools or templates. I wasn't impressed. What was worse, after spending an hour sending out our Jot Form sponsorship form to old and potentially new sponsors, I received an email from a potential sponsor saying that the Jot Form link didn't work. To my disbelief, Jot Form not only disabled our non-profit form but suspended our account - all without notice or explanation. We have never knowingly violated any terms of use on any site and even if done inadvertently, at least a warning or notice before or after the fact would be the professional response. If we exceeded our free usage, which is not likely, at least a pop up could give us an opportunity to upgrade. There was none. And then there was the Contact Form. After taking time to change our password and complete the contact form, you can only contact them if logged in. The login was blocked.

Adding to the false claim of having 40 million users while having such basic issues, this platform is one I will avoid at all cost. Appearing to be completely unprofessional, we probably lost thousands in potential sponsorships.

I would never use this site again.

I have been going back-and-forth with their technical support team for weeks now. They sold me a product with HIPAA compliant data collection; however, when I started running into problems with missing data, system crashes, etc., the support team just says that they cannot provide support because my form is HIPAA protected. Unable to actually speak to someone on the phone. Their support services are horrible - avoid this company at all cost.

2nd day and many emails later I got html that included a jotform inhouse form ontop of mine!
3rd day I managed to complete another version but without heading, they put heading on for me but html did not function so I tried downloading in PDF format 5 times, did not download.
Absolute waste of space for me

I work for the county which recently switched over to using cheap Jotform. A form that used to take one page to print now takes a minimum of eight. It doesn't matter if the user is entering one item or 15 items, every line prints. The fonts are not adjustable and are huge. It takes me three times as long to review each form. I hate it so much.

DO NOT use this form builder if you take payments from within your forms. The form will semi consistently submit multiple iterations of the same submission, charging the customer multiple times on a single authorization.

This has been happening for well over a year, the company has known about the issue for at least 14 months, and has literally done nothing about it.

The problem has gotten progressively worse over time. Now we are getting the same submission up to 7 times, and the only reason it wasnt 8 is the payment failed on the eighth attempt charging a customer a total of $2254 on a charge of $322. Luckily we caught the issue on our end immediately, and refunded the charges, however, we still were charged the credit card processing fees of over $65. That is for ONE time this happened, and it happens a few times per day. Granted, this example is one of the worst.

There is ZERO customer support. You can submit a ticket, to which they invariably reply that they will send the issue to their dev team and reply in the ticket thread when it is resolved. The ticket i originally submitted was in January of 2021, 14 months ago, and I have posted in it 9 times since.

There is no phone number to call, nor will they call you, they just say "Unfortunately, we do not currently have phone support available as the nature of the support we provide here sometimes requires testing to find the problems and their solutions which can be solved over the phone"

I assume they meant "can't" but since they dont seem to speak English particularly well, I can forgive that.

Bottom line, if you want a simple "Contact Us" form, great. If you take payments, don't subject your customers to this inept service.

Note: We are building a website with all of our forms built in house. The process is just taking much longer than we anticipated as our forms are very complex, also making it not worth rebuilding them on an intermediate platform to bridge the gap.

Do not use if you want forms to take payment

Consistently lose forms when trying to sync, the support is useless, they have no back ups in place. Do not use this application if you want reliability... I cannot describe how manh hours I have lost creating forms, filling them out only to lose all the data because the application will not sync up. And I am not talking about mobile data speeds... forms are lost even when trying to sync over conventional wifi!

Also you cannot duplicate logic conditions when cloning forms, you have to re-enter all the data, more time wasted! Jotform, are you going to compensate me for more time lost?

My identity was compromised by your site allowing Brandy Gill to use my information and so another Jotform was created from my own identity. I have never used your form until trying to apply for that home. She or He then created another "false" Jotform which came to my email. So where did I create another when she or he sent me the link for the Jotform to fill tf out in the first place. Stop minimizing yall involvement, no miscommunication just a sorry a** site that criminals use and you take no accountability for. Your reply is LATE And A LIE.

This platform has allowed a scammer named Brandy Gill to send a link as an application for a home on Craigslist. It seems like these two platforms helps scammers and killers but actual customers with serious issues they ignore. Someone sent me another Jotform email after I reported them and Jotform lied and stated I did another one myself. They did not admit fault for even allowing it to happen and could not provide reason as to why. DO NOT USE. They will blame you for the wrong done against you and still allowing criminals to use THEIR SITE‼ Seems like Craigslist and Jotform maybe even in on these scams ‍since they don't reply back to complaints or reports!

JotForm Support won't give 2 cents about your data safety. They won't even care if you make a phishing form. Because guess what, they will send your social security number, full date of birth, physical address, phone number, and any given number of data fields to email addresses you provide without even checking that you own the email address unless "form owner use/add in the form".

I pointed this security flaw to their support, BECAUSE I received such an email without any prior knowledge, solicitation, use of the site, etc. And their support staff response? "Please contact the form creator directly, since JotForm is not responsible for the content of that form. The form creator may have their own privacy policy."

Right, sensitive data is coming from their website and they won't take responsibility for what people are doing on it. Well, here's my take on that: go use the website at your own risk, your identity, your livelihood. If you want your Social Security Number known by a random stranger, go ahead.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid like the plague unless you happen to be a phishing scammer, because obviously this is good only for that kind of seedy stuff

Had cases where we didn't get a solution for month. Most times you spend 10 times more on searching workarounds than it took to build something.

I run a nonprofit 501c3. I used JotForm to accept applications for scholarships. Randomly they have shut down my form claiming that my IP is being used for phishing. Completely untrue. Have emailed numerous numerous times with proof that this is not occurring. Nobody responds or replies. Awful experience.

If you're looking to do ANYTHING other than just straight up use their product on THEIR website, then RUN. If you're looking to use webhooks, RUN. If you're looking to require users to login without having that be tied to some kind of "access" requirements, RUN. If you're looking to embed the form into your own website, RUN. If you're looking to automate processing JSON via webhook and want to rely on your assigned field names in your form to come through in the JSON, RUN. If you're looking for customer service to actually do ANYTHING about bugs you find for them, RUN. If you're looking for a product that is well-tested and understands that they are dealing with customer data that makes or breaks your ability to do your job as a web developer, RUN.

I could go on. But I think I've made the picture clear. Seriously, RUN.

I have several issues with my forms that still remain unresolved. Customer service cannot give me an ETA on resolution and seems quite unmotivated to fix the issue. I wouldn't use JotForm. There are other solutions out there with better customer service.

My web site developer used JotForm to build a form in our site. Then, my web developer went out of business - no phone # or e-mail anymore. After a while, people using our site got a "You are over your Form Quota" message and they were unable to use the form that were there to book appointments on our site. Obviously JotForm wanted to not get us to "upgrade" to a pay model - which we had not problem with. Unfortunately, since we did not have the log-in, JotForm would not give us access to the log-in to "upgrade" the form on our own site - ridiculous. And, we could not call them. They only have e-mail service. As a result of them not letting us access our own forms, we are losing revenue and I will have to pay a new developer hundreds of dollars to re-create the forms that are already there that just need to be "unlocked". They don't care and I would never use them again - worst customer service.!

This morning I got an email saying that I reached the payment limit. "It seems like you have reached your payments limit. Free accounts are limited to 1 payments / month. Your forms will be disabled on Thursday at 12pm EST". That's in TWO hours from now!
The payment was made via Paypal so it has nothing to do with JotForm.

Awful and furstrating! Very Poor integration with their own widgets and apps. Support promises to fix issue soon but takes months and doesn't fix. Dint get a premium account if you need to create your own forms. The most simple tasks are impossible. Incredibly furstrating

I have written to *******@jotform.com about each of the emails they allow to be sent out through their company. Not ONE time have they written me back to at least say they are checking into it.

This company is pretty much a clone of formstack.com. At least formstack.com has written me back saying they are working on getting rid of the spammers.

Jotform has to be one of the worst companys as far as support goes and also for allowing spammers to continue to send out emails.

Tip for consumers:
In my opinion, only spammers use this type of service.

JotForm doubled billed me and with the help of BlueSnap refuses to refund the double billing charges for 7 months. They offered three months credit... not good enough... The only way I could stop the double billing was to cancel my credit card. They selected different dates and different notices on my credit card. My accountant did not pick this us as double billing. I had notified them when they first started this and they continued to double bill on the same JotForm account number.
