I love their fall decor! Take advantage of the coupons that joanns offers on their app and the prices become so much more manageable :) they have a really smooth return process as well, and it's always nice going to craft stores and the like, especially ones as festive as joanns
My friend ordered quilting batting online and curbside pick-up. Received her confirmation order number but never received her order. Thanks to Morgan from the Michigan City store, for approximately 2 hours, tried to find out why my friend did not receive her order. She was on the phone during all this time calling different numbers until she received an answer. Finally Morgan was able to settle the reason and my friend was able to receive her order. Thank you Morgan from Joann's Michigan City, IN store for your time and help to straighten this situation.
The one I go to has very knowledgeable people and, for the most part, everyone seems happy to help. I've never had issues with curbside pickup. I will say pictures of the fabric online can be misleading with the color and size, and their inventory system is wonky, but I'm surprised to see so much hate here. I will always support Joanns, they are introducing pronoun stickers for their employees and they have great deals on remnants. They are pretty progressive, especially compared to Hobby Lobby. They also have tattoo based fabrics and a fabric that depicts heavier set women in a positive, attractive light.
Joann Fabrics has a large collection of insulting Alexander Henry art cotton prints. Women dressed in skimpy clothing and suggestive poses perhaps from the 1940s(?). I am not a prude, I am an artist myself, but how do you explain such images while shopping for mask fabric with a 10 year granddaughter? That this is how women were portrayed in the past? Apparently not. Wake up Joann Fabrics, you are insulting your customers!
I have always had great service in the store and often use online to purchase fabric. I use a variety of fabrics and find that the quilt fabric is comparable to what I get in the quilt shops. The generic fabric is a good alternative to the more expensive quilting fabric and serves the purpose when I'm doing other projects that don't require the same quality. I appreciate having the flexibility to choose different grades of fabric to suit my project requirements. I recently bought some fabric on line and was pleased to see that it was as shown. And again the process of picking it up in the store was simple and the customer service was good. The only thing I have to say could be improved is the ease of using the website..
I purchased a large order from this Joanns in Franklin, TNand was told they didn't have the people to put the merchandise out. When I picked up in store 3/4 of it was not there. I paid using another party, now I can't get a refund for items I didn't get. They do not answer their customer service number. The manager hung up on me twice because she could t figure out how to place the phone on hold. All I want is my money back for the items they did t have and no one will help! I will never ever shop Joann's online or in store ever again!
I purchased an oliso iron from them for someone for Christmas. The box was open when I received it. They refuse to take it back. They say it policy, because it is open. I received it open and they don't take electrical items back. If you don't take them back then you shouldn't sell it. If we receive it broken especially. This is bull crap. And I won't purchase anything else from them except their cheap fabric in store only. No more online orders.
I placed an order at Joann.com with 10 items including two pieces of fabric on 11-8-2023. It is still processing. I have called twice. Two excuses were given, both on the flimsy side. Just ridiculous.
My local Joann store said my online purchase was ready for pick up. When I got home, opened bag, one item was broken, they used tape to hold it to display card. Who does that to a customer? I refuse to online/delivery ever again. Takes too long, my last delivery ended up in another state. Bad customer service.
I have yet to receive the remainder of the order I placed in November. As many other people have stated, they no longer accept calls, so the only way you can contact them is through email. When I was able to talk with someone is customer service in mid December, the person disregarded my valid points and literally attempted to deny me the right to speak with her superior regarding the issue. I will NEVER order anything from Joann again! They refused to let me cancel my order when I asked to do so because of the huge delay, which is unheard of from a big business like theirs. I cannot see them lasting much longer. Inasmuch as I like the convenience of their brick and mortar stores, this experience with my online order and reading what everyone else's has gone through, has really embittered me towards the company as a whole.
I've been a loyal fan of Jo-Ann Fabrics for years but I've reached my breaking point with their policies & lack of common sense. Their website is so screwed up & their app is even worse! I kept trying to place an order online & there was an error with posting my payment & my purchase history didn't show anything went through so I kept trying & next thing I know I'm being charged for the same order 3 times & then there's another charge for a smaller amount that I don't know what it's for & neither do the employees! I contacted their customer service & was told an order can't be cancelled once it's place but I can return any I wanted items. Seriously?!?!? So if my card was stolen & someone else made purchases, I'd need the items to return them?!?!? Thanks Jo-Ann, I'll never be coming back to your store or website!
Ordered 6 bolts of different fabrics. Got 3 bolts as ordered but I received the others in miscellaneous pieces - not usable if you are making clothing. And 3 yards were totally cancelled. I got taken by JoAnn's about 8 years ago with them sending me scraps of fabric instead of bolts & swore I'd never order from them again. I gave in because they finally had some pretty fabric & I figured by now enough people had complained that they changed their policies. Never ordering fabric from JoAnn's again.
My orders, when using coupons, get cancelled, but when paying full price they seem to go thru. Apparently they didn't pass the verification process? Called that department, left several messages, no one ever gets back to me. This has happened several times over the past few months, I even called my order in…same issue, and customer service states they cannot help, it has to be verification dept., that deals with this. Sale items and coupons seem to trigger this, but they let you pay full price without any verification issues?!?
I recently ordered a 10 ft length of drapery tape. What I received was 3 separate pieces. I want to return this mess for a refund but Joann online wants me to pay the postage to send it back. If I were able to shop in person I would never have accepted the scraps they sent me. Joann will get no more business from me.
When you add in your coupon no discount is taken. Then you read the fine print and see why the coupon for such as "15% off total purchase " is not valid. Then you apply "free shipping" and they actually charge a small amount. I tried 15% entire for healthcare workers sine I am a nurse and that doesn't even work. Ugh.
Not a very good selection of cords… I found Terri, not very personable… actually bland, disconnected and giving the impression that she could care less about what goes on in the store… No offer of any assistance from this person…. She stood there and watched me struggle… I was very surprised to actually see the word "manager" on her name tag. Maybe she was just having a bad day but, her lack of consideration left an impression
Filled my email repeatedly with spam because I applied once for a discount (which I didn't use because their prices are too high despite the discount). Unsubscribe button doesn't work. They want you to fill out a lengthy survey with all of your personal info to unsubscribe. IDIOTS!
Went on their app to find a yarn I need for an upcoming project. App indicated that my local store had 6 skeins of the one I needed. Ad said that it was 20% off ONLINE ONLY. Ok, great. That means it's not on sale in the store and I can use my 50% off coupon. Drive all the way to the store to discover that it WAS on sale, for a measly 25% off. Yeah, I know that doesn't sound like a big deal. But when you're talking about needing many many skeins, that adds up.
This equates to baiting customers. Very unethical!
Ordered on line 10/31 said would be delivered 11/8. Not happen till 11/9 but still not delivered even though they said it was. Now informed will not do anything till after 10 days. Eve suggested I wait till following Monday or 14 days. For me to get credit. Do not trust if you need anything. I won't ever again. Shame on them. Would only reship for same thing to happen again. What horrible service
My package was missing 4 large plastic file boxes. Once it arrived and I noticed this, i reached out to ask about it. That was 6 days ago and they kept telling me that their records indicated that they shipped the boxes and they've been doing their investigation for a few days now.
I just don't understand how they can take peoples money and ship half of the items and pretend they shipped the full order.
I will be calling my card company for a reimbursement.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
