So much for my enthusiasm. I thought joining a dating website such as Japan Cupid would lead to happiness. Minutes, I mean minutes after joining, I receive a message. The guy was a total pervert, illiterate disgusting person. Then again in the same hour, same type. Then a third time. I deactivated the account. Are there any decent people looking on this site? Japan Cupid, do you even watch what goes on? I want to avoid all dating sites now. DIsgusting, can't get it out of my mind what happened.

I was happy to see a website for Japanese dating, as I always felt my morals/personality aligned more with Japanese culture than American. However, even after showing them my ID (which they probably stole information from), they STILL deleted my profile almost immediately with no explanation. I tried e-mailing them and got no response... probably just a fake website used to steal your data and sell it, it's super sketch that my profile got deleted even after sending them a photo of my ID. Pretty screwed up.

My profile was deleted after a few weeks. I had a date and was planning to meet some of the men in person this week but when I tried signing in I saw the notification that my profile was deleted because my "goal is not aligned with meeting a future husband" which there was no proof of this accusation in my profile nor my messages sent to users. Then when I sent an email they copied and pasted the same message from the suspension notification into the email. When I tried to make a new profile they deleted it again within the same day. This site is straight trash.

Full of fake profiles, Golddiggers, passport hunters, sugar daddy hunters and madwomen.
Most of the women on there are there because Japanease Guys don't want them because they are just crap women.
Japan cupid is like trying to find a diamond in a manure pile, most women on there have been round the Block with their lives and body's more than a Taxi in Newyork.
If you do find one that gives you a good time make sure to wear protection because most on there are in contact with hundreds of Guys.

My experience is worth reading about. I joined a few weeks before going to Japan. I messaged 14 girls, only 2 had even read my message.
1 replied and we started conversing.
We didn't get to meet while in Japan as it didn't time in that way but after getting back home to Australia I was just about to ask for her offline contact details (such as Line).
She had sent me a message which I went to read. But, after sending her message she deactivated her account.
Then in my inbox her messages, the new unread one and all previous messages were missing!
I contacted admin and they said for privacy reasons anyone who removes themselves from the site has their messages removed.
I argued that she was a paying member when she sent it and it's her choice to leave the site if she chooses and I'm still a paying member when I went to read it.
(Also in my experience on other sites that DON'T remove messages from your inbox, a girl will send her offline contact details just prior to deactivating her account.
I have since tried to log on and contact admin again and guess what?! My account has been disconnected.
They claim to be there to bring people together yet that is BS, they only want paying members. Do not even bother with any of the "Cupid" sites.

May I tell the truth? This site is a piece of $#*!. They terminated my profile, they didn't send me warning email, just boom, I cannot entered one day. I wrote an email to the support team (they say, they can reply in 24 or 48 hours), they didn't reply to me. I was very angry, because I had many conversation, and they just deleted my profile. I think, they use member's ID, that's why they determinate profiles...
Don't use this site, they stole your personal data...

It's been a year since I've seen this person from this site and I'm sick to my stomach to report to you there's some sick people here what are sex addicts especially when it comes to dating American women they have no respect whatsoever I've changed my whole feeling this International thing I know it'll only almost lost my life dating this person because of his infidelity it's been emotionally. Abusive good luck to someone who wants to date on this site

Constantly same people are your matches. To many scammers on site. Technical issues all the time. They accept any pictures including the back of people's heads and I even found one that had 3 different people in 3 different photos on the same profile who's the real one. Good price and good set up but run by amateurs. Made comments on other review sites but they never got shown. They self reviewed so be careful. Very annoying with matches always same people and only a few new ones. Matches constantly ask for email address and/or phone number. Not a good site. If anyone praises site Be very wary of their comments more than likely works for them

I was recommended this site by a friend. Thank God I did not spend my hard-earned cash on this site! This is the worst site on earth. The first thing that upset me was that, I am a non-Asian woman and non-Asian men are flirting with me! These men obviously have to be joking or are just dumb because I specifically stated what age range I wanted and I wanted a JAPANESE MAN! I can meet white, black, and hispanic men in real life. Why are you on Japancupid if you are not interested in Japanese women!? Stop wasting my time!

Second complaint, most of the men interested in me are super old and gross. Old enough to be my grandfather. Not all of us what a mack/big daddy or whatever that crazy crap is called. I don't have daddy issues, not desperate, or insecure. JC needs to get more strict features! Thankfully, I have met and married a Japanese man in real life. If you are not a old white man, then your chances of finding love on this site are slim. You will become highly discouraged and disgusted with your matches, in which they are NO WHERE NEAR what you want! I never wanted a 75-year-old grandpa simpson liking me! When these age group of men added me to their favorite group, I logged off for good. That was the last nail in the coffin. Waste of time and would have been a waste of money too because the men who contacted me, in which I had to pay to see their message, where obviously either fake, married, or hiding something since they lacked a picture. A lot of profiles lacked a picture, so it is a fake site! This site is a magnet for catfish, clownfish, and whales (old, gross, balding, and over-weight white dirty men). What a jooookkkke!

Opened a free account with this site, invested a lot of effort and time to build up my account with honest wording, description, real pictures etc.
Never tried anything illicit like trying somehow to pass a secret code with my info on it, illicit pictures upload, or a message to some member with rude or in any way inappropriate content.
My account was terminated a week later because I wouldn't pay for their overpriced monthly membership plans, although I sincerely considered it and was going to eventually pay for the membership but in the mean time decided to stay on free membership option until some kind of special price offer comes along (as they often do in other dating sites).
So, yes, terminated without any warning or reason given...
I recommend all honest true love seekers to stay away from this scamming and rude business.

I was just bored, and wanted to talk with japanese guys.
I was a member of this site on and off for years. On the first day i registered my new profiles, always the same guys sent me messages... with the same texts.
I was inactive for 1-2 years, and when i reactivated my membership, guess what?
Those guys sent me the same copy paste texts again. They had the same picture and everything.

People sent me likes without reading or viewing my profile.

All of the messages (except for the long copy paste ones) were comments on my pictures.

I'm a 20 years old white girl. I wanted to talk with japanese men on this site.
I got about 30 likes within a hour, and 5-8 messages.
How many of these people viewed my profile? 1 or 2.
How many of them fit my criteria? None. Most of these men were fat, balding 50-70 years old black, white men.
All of the messages I got were almost identical > compliments on my looks.
It's pretty disturbing when men older than my grandfather give me pet names and call me pretty/sexy.

I recommend this site if you are a gerontophile.
