Japan Cupid was a complete waste of time for me. I'm an American woman. So, when I found out there was a site like Japan Cupid where you can meet Japanese singles online I was delighted. This was sometime early last year. While I did get some interests from Japanese men early on, what really was a turn off for me was how I had to have a Gold or Platinum account just to send messages to guys I liked. Then, around September 2018, one guy I was really interested in asked me if I had LINE. Initially, I said no because I just deleted my account after talking with another crazy guy from this same site. Then, I asked him if he had Skype...no response. Then, I said I have a LINE Lite account and asked if that would work for him and he completely blocked me from messaging him. After that, I deactivated my first account.

Tried signing up for Japan Cupid again in November 2018. Thisn time I used a different email address. Initially, things were a little slow but I was getting some interests even with my picture up. However, some of these same interests over time were lost because I temporarily deactivated my account in April 2019 or they hadn't been on in a while. I even tried messaging people with gold or platinum membership. The second guy I messaged blocked me from sending him anymore messages after he failed to respond to my first one. I tried reporting him to the site, but there was nothing Japan Cupid could do. As another reviewer said, there aren't many Japanese men on this site to begin with. Every now and then, I too got interests and messages from non Asian men especially ones from the Middle East and Africa. It also appears that some of the men on this site are jerks especially that user who goes by the name of Sun from Nagoya, Japan. This was the guy who blocked me back in June 2019. And in my opinion, the non Asian men who do try to show interest in me were just looking for any woman they could find even if they weren't Asian or Japanese. Anyway, I'm glad I'm off that site. While I still do want to date and or marry an Asian or Japanese man, I just know that I need to look elsewhere. Like I should've done from the get go. This was a learning experience though. I learned my lesson. AND I WILL NEVER JOIN JAPAN CUPID EVER AGAIN.
