If what you want is in stock and you're willing to wait a while to get it, okay. Otherwise, try another place. I placed an order, then needed to add one more part to my order, and one part that they said was in stock actually was not. Making these adjustments was nearly impossible.
They don't answer emails or online posts and you'll be on hold for a very long time if you try to call them. I waited 10 days for the parts actually in stock, and after 10 more days still don't have the out-of-stock part, even though online order status says "shipped". Maybe I'll get it -- someday. Parts are available elsewhere, I will never order again from this place.
Ordered a brand new engine cost over $450.00 and waited for 8 days to get any response when will it be shipped.
Called 5 times and checked online still pending and finally shipping it out?

Website 2-4 days for delivery and this how you treat me? You should of shipped over night for the troubles I went thru... the engine was in stock and no special order. I own a construction business and time is money.

If schedule means anything to you or your customers - double check before you order online with this company. This is the second time in as many months I ordered from this company. Both times the web site advised that all the parts were available and in stock. Both times after paying for the product I was advised it was on order and it would arrive sometime in the future - no promise date. Bottom Line - if schedule is important I advise that you seek other sources that don't employ these deceptive practices to improve their sales numbers.
Placed order for items that looked to be in stock. As soon as order placed, "your parts are delayed" by 5 days. Sent cancel request. No response. Sent another cancel request. No response. Day three "your order has shipped!" They just made a shipment label, still not shipped. Day four, called twice, they don't pick up. Had to refute charge on my card. Terrible business. Buyer beware.
Both parts said on back order I thought he we go there not going to show up like the rest of the reviews but they did so I'm happy so not sure why so many people

Found a Murray Lawn Tractor stored in a shed for 8 plus years. Among other things carb was shot - Ordered new one from Jacks, got it in 3 days, installed and fired right up. Very happy customer!
Just put the starter on and it broke as soon as we tried to start it. I wished I had read the reviews on this business before I bought it because I would of never purchased it. I would like to get back our money on this if we have to send back we will. I had to rate this but it didn't have the 0 as a option. Had to give it a one but it doesn't deserve it.
It doesn't take much looking at reviews to have an idea of what to expect. Just order the parts you need off eBay from China and you will get your parts and quicker. Just goes to show anyone can make a website to steal money and nothing happens to them. I'd like to take a hot steaming dump in "Jacks" mouth. Screw this company!
I ordered a cable on 4 30 20 said one in stock now telling me it shipped on 5 11 20 and 3 hrs after I called usps sent text saying it just received it on 5 13 20 and i should get 5 18 20 if shows up then thats 18 days why charge for 2 day and not credit my account never order anything again buyer beware
I ordered an Aerator but then found one locally. I called Jacks customer service and they answered immediately, were extremely friendly and offered to cancel my order and refunded me the money. I was so impressed. I will definitely order from Jacks in the future.
I placed an order for over 2 months now. They take your payment as soon as you place an order but never get the items ordered. Called them twice, both times they said the items are not in their warehouse and they are still waiting these from the manufacturer, over 2 months now and no definite time when I'm going to received my order. I ended up cancelling them. What a waste of time. I just hope, I will get my full refund. They said 2 business days, we'll see.
They shipped the wrong part and I called customer service and he was extremely rude, condescending and unprofessional. Because they sent the wrong part my feeling was that they should pay for the cost of returning. They refused despite their mistake. First and last time customer. As a consumer there are too many other choices to be treated so shabby Wish I had read these reviews first.
If you've had an experience with them supposedly having items in stock when they aren't like I did report them to the ftc. It doesn't take long and it's very easy to figure out and your saving people in the future from having to deal with this garbage as well
Firmly believing Jack had my parts in stock, I went ahead and ordered.
Unfortunately, my assumption was wrong.
Fortunately Jack knew where to order them from.
Unfortunately, I could have done the same thing, in less time, leaving Jack out of the equation.
I watched, as every day, my order got moved further and further back.
Fortunately after about a month, I finally got notice that my order had shipped.
Unfortunately they decided to ship it to my PO box with UPS. (Fail)
I will say that I did save a few dollars with Jack's, but if you have a horse and wagon, you might be better off traveling across the USA to Maryland, and picking it up yourself.
My complaint is like everyone else's. I ordered online an item that appeared to be in stock and then I get an e-mail saying they are out of stock and waiting for a new shipment from the manufacturer. I contacted them twice with no response. However, they were quick in charging my credit card. Don't deal with them. They are a sham company.
Emailed Jacks and they will not refund money for item that was very delayed and not received. No answer to emails and phone contact is a joke. Was on phone waiting for over 45 mins., and gave up. Tried 3 times. Same thing,

Ordered item from Jack's Small Engines on 4/29/23.
It is now 6/8/23, still saying "vendor delay". I checked, and many other online sites have this product, which I ordered from another supplier today. When I called to cancel I was told by the recording that there were 8 callers ahead of me. DO NOT USE THIS COPMPANY.

I ordered a simple generator gas cap. After 9 days I called and was told that yes it has been in stock but they had no idea when it would be shipped.
Quote; " I can step back there and yell at them in the warehouse to speed it up but they'll just look at me like I'm stupid."
When I asked if there was any way to cancel the order the guy responded; Yep, I've just canceled it and you should get an email In a few minutes."
He continued rambling about how big they are, how they just merged with another company and do the most orders in the U.S. Didn't care at all about my order or why I needed my part or how long I might have to wait for it.
Sight quotes that the part will be mailed within 24hours of it being received in the warehouse. This is FALSE!
Jacks small engines is the worst company I've ever done e-business with. I ordered a starter for my mower on April 19th, 2010 and it was defective when i received it. I sent it back to them for a refund and still to this day (June 21,2010) i have yet to hear from them. I have emailed 3 times- no reply, I have called 5 times- can't get through (always busy). The have good prices, but at what cost? Charge a little more and hire some people! Your customer service is TERRIBLE! Check this company out before you buy from them!
Their website says "Jack's Small Engines stands behind its service..." I ordered 2 parts for a Poulan chain saw and had to wait about 1 1/2 months for one of the parts to come in (okay). Received both parts or so I thought. The clutch drum I ordered was correct, but they shipped the wrong one. I've emailed them 3 times without a response. So much for customer service.
