I really like downloading with them, although their page has quite a few inbound and outbound network speed problems.
The sole reason I bought an iPhone many generations ago was becasue of itunes functionality, now the only reason I'd consider an alternative would be because I've transitioned off itunes, I haven't made the break yet but I'm close. Everytime I sign in to itunes my library reverts to an old destination, I follow the apple "fix" but it doesn't stick, I've spent hours rebuilding this evening but know it will be temprorary, It would be faster if the "find other files" ever actually found anything else even in the same sub-folder - I don't know why they even offer the function - it never works, Two examples of a once good product now clearly managed by the D team. Sad really that apple clearly no longer care.
I use to love using itunes because I own mostly apple products. Starting in 2018 the streaming services starting having issues. Several times I receive the message "Unable to load content." I researched it. My side: No. Every thing fine no issues. ITunes side: Yes. Their online forms are flooded with complaints regarding this since they switched from the video app to the tv app. I contacted them personally and said it wasn't their side. Bull shi-t it's not my side. I generally watch movies at night and I can not stream movies nor tv shows. In the past itunes use to be flawless in streaming. Now it's terrible. I have decided to cease and desist purchasing itunes media because of streaming issues. I use to spend $60-$100 every other month to increase my collection. Now that I can barely stream a movie or tv show without lag I will no longer purchase media from itunes.
I am going back to purchasing discs from amazon and using dvd fab to rip them for personal use. Dvd fab is safe to use so long as it is for personal use. I got a life time purchase with a pre-paid visa because I got tired of buying the same movie multiple times. Only to realize I didn't actually own the movie but was buying the right to have streaming access to it on their platform. Which they could delete or remove at any moment. Owning your own discs and ripping them for personal use prevents this. I use external hard drives so I don't have to keep reripping my movies.
I use a product that allows me to maintain my phone without iTunes. Their out there you just need to research them. I think I'll go back to using that because some times when you delete a movie it doesn't actually delete from the hard drive.
I've also noticed that several psa's or older movies iTunes will never receive the copy right privileges to. So I'm pretty much restricted to discs. Good will is a wealth of old movies. Do check the disk if you can. My monthly media purchase funds will go towards Amazon.com instead due to iTunes having streaming issues with their devices. At first I thought it was because they were old devices but I tried streaming a movie on my iphone 12 and kept having issues.
Cons:
Non-competitive pricing of ebooks and audiobooks
Full catalogue of media is not available to Canadian consumers
Too many individual apps on mobile and media devices such as iPhone and iPod (the store and each media type requires a different app to use).
Pros:
Excellent quality media
Music can be converted to mp3 format and works well on non-Apple products such as simple mp3 players
Exclusive content
Reasonable pricing on movies, shows and music
Easy redemption process for many BluRay movies that come with digital copies
It's a great app to use to listen to your musical content but it has its down. One being that you can't watch the lyrics while listening to a song even though you used to be able to do so in Window Media Player and it was a nice plus. I would also be cool to add some music videos and such to make it more "spicy". It plays my songs great, but the updates happen way too often and I hate having to restart my computer every time. It's worth the use.
Pros:
-its legal
-secure
-cost is OK and no tricking you into things you didn't want to purchase
-great selection
-good customer service which is there to help you not rip you off.
Cons:
-Setup is hmmm almost awful. I can't stand it. Figured it out but hate it. Not at all the organization of other Apple products.
Having just gotten a Kindle Fire two days ago, I was surprised to learn there didn't seem to be a direct way to transfer music using the built in music app.
Normally, I am quite satisfied with iTunes... but recently the site has been buggy. And I have a $75 gift card attached to my account... but I can't download anything... Their customer service is basically nonexistent. Also, if you download an album and hate it, I believe you should be able to return it. Audible.com lets you return virtual books, so why can't you return music files?
I am based in Australia. Their music cost is too expensive. Whilst I buy a few songs from them I purchase from cheaper sites after using iTunes to research what I want to buy.
Its great for huge fan of music listeners. Its expensive but worthy
Itunes leaves me wanting more a better way to organize my music for once.
The fact that it is so limited bothers me. Otherwise reliable use.
I love iTunes just fine, however I experience my songs that I have purchased being replaced with random songs that I have not purchased. I find this infuriating to pay for music that I want only to have it taken from me and replaced with music I don't want! ITunes seriously needs to get this fixed. As if I am going to pay for all of my lost songs a second time. Think again iTunes! I also have purchased songs based on the small audio sample offered only to find out that the audio file has issues, such as the very beginning or very end of the song is cut off. Or, the audio quality is subpar.
I am an adamant apple user, but I don't like that app continually forces you to use apple music and it is frustrating that it also restricts the import of music from other sources. I buy occasionally from iTunes, but some of my old music does not have a source.
Too limiting!
The main thing that pisses me off about Itunes is that they don't let you register with a debit card. You HAVE to register with a CREDIT CARD. It's great for getting your music but not so cheap@1.29 a song. Music Videos are more. OH and if you LOSE your itunes card which happened to me unfortunately :(. . You could just forget about them giving you a new one.
In fact that's true. It's not difficult to utilize and its extraordinary, iTunes is more than 11 years of age, and the dispatch of adaptation 11 today demonstrates that much has changed since 2001 – yet much has not. It has now got a quite enhanced new look, however under the cap, iTunes is still the same commonplace and highly acknowledged programming
Bought an Ipod Nano, installed Itunes, attempted to delete the one and only song on the Ipod, but Itunes offered no way to delete the song, the interface is totally non-intuitive.
Solution: Itunes uninstalled, CopytTans Suite installed, problem solved
I think iTunes is a very good place for downloading favorite's music. It provides purchase files legally, create our own library, share library to other users. It is very easiest way to use. I am very comfortable for this iTunes. I think it is better for any other music downloader.
