My first order was delivered on time with only one mistake. The receipt that was emailed to me was for one amount. When I checked my credit card statement there was an additional charge. I tried calling them, the wait time was anywhere from two to five hours. I had no choice but to file a dispute with my credit card company. I had a pending order for delivery on this past Saturday. Insta cart cancelled the order. I am a senior citizen with medical issues and was not able to get my food. A friend had to go food shopping for me and put himself in harm's way. I have been corresponding with Insta cart and they have not reinstated my account even though I removed the dispute.
If I could give them negative stars I would. I was trying to be a responsible adult during this pandemic and decided to order with them. I ordered at lease 20 items but they only delivered 6 items none of the 6 items they delivered were correct. I've been on the phone waiting and chat waiting for hours no response. The chat person finally answered but ended my chat before I could respond. I'm still waiting on the phone, they are so rude. During this pandemic you see the true colors and unprofessional-ism of companies and people. I just spent over $100 on grocery for nothing, this is so sad. Do not go with Instacart they do not care
THEY ARE THIEVES AND TAKE YOUR MONEY! Instacart doesn't want you to see the actual receipt. And this is why: My receipt at Shaws came to $211.69. There was a $12.41 Service Charge. I gave a $20.00 tip. That's a total of $244.10 BUT THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $280.64; that means that they kept and additional $36.54! Are you kidding me. They also don't take phone calls anymore (probably because they are ripping people off). STAY AWAY AND TRY ANOTHER SERVICE.
For first time I ordered foods from Costco through Instacard. The shopper/driver was very nice. Unfortunately there was a wrong item delivered. It was a human error, no big deal. The biggest problem is so far, I don't get any response from Instacard, Phone line is not working! Can't contact anyone!
Order was placed at noon. I received a text that the shopper started my list. She kept me informed of any necessary changes and out of stock items. She arrived at the house about 3pm, unloaded the goods, checked my license because of the wine and was on her way. Very friendly, the whole process was was uneventful and stress free.
I ordered $135 worth of groceries from Aldi's through instacart I opted for free delivery place my order and paid for it then I was told there were no delivery dates available so I tried to change the delivery to store pickup which was impossible I cannot get my money back I don't know when I will get my groceries delivered there is no phone customer service and I cannot get any answers off the website
I've been using the service for a couple of years, and would generally give 4 stars. However, the service has slipped to zero in the past couple of weeks. They've been busy i. E. making more money, but new hires are not being trained properly, there is no customer service by phone or online and I don't know if the site has crashed. This is new. I've been trying to follow up a complaint about wrong items delivered on April 1. Here it is April 6 and I still can not get anyone to straighten it out. Really, really bad.
What an absolute nightmare! Out of my entire order - I must have gotten 5 items that were correct. They don't respond to emails - nor do they answer the chat or pick up the phone. Stay far far away! I cannot stress this anymore than I have!
We tried this grocery service and had a very bad experience. The delivery guy did not deliver the groceries to our address.

Was given free delivery for my order but because a huge item was no longer available it brought down my total therefore they now charged me $12.99 to deliver two items that totaled $11.00... had I known this I would have cancelled my whole order... please beware!
The worst! Five times we've attempted deliveries from Publix, with not one single item ever delivered. They just randomly change your delivery date at a whim, and do not notify you. Delayed one delivery by three weeks- the night before the originally promised date. They are a mess! Do NOT depend on them, ever. You will be sorely disappointed.
DONT DO IT! Instacart is allowing shoppers to rip people off. In a time like this, how dare you! I will be trying to find AS MANY of these stories as i possibly can in hopes to open a class action against you! Shoppers substituting less expensive items and no money will be returned to u as they are not substituting through the app! Ordered 2; 96oz almond milks, get 2; 64oz instead. Where did my $4 differential go? And they give no reciept, why? Why would instacart not produce a reciept FROM THE STORE, for something that i am paying for? Are they part of this? Instacart failed to deliver one of my items. I've been trying to contact them for 15 days now with no results. I've tried chat, email, every means possible, but get no response. Wait times on phone calls are over 140 minutes. Never again will I use this service.
I had the worst experience with Instacart. My shopper replaced more then half my items with other products some of which will not get used or eaten with less expensive items but did not record them as replaced so I was charged a higher price then I should have been. We corresponded while he was in the store and I asked that he not replace a couple of items. He then went silent and didn't ask about any other replacements. I contacted Instacart thru their app with my issues and have never heard back. I proceeded to contact them through chat. Someone was helping me and then ended the chat abruptly with no resolution or warning. I would never use this service or advise anyone else to use it as well. This is the worst service and their customer service is beyond the worst.
The supermarket prices on the Instacart page do NOT reflect what the store is actually charging them. I ended up paying $12 more for my items than actually reflected on the store receipt, and that doesn't include their delivery fee.
I ordered from Aldi on friday. I asked for pick up service. Would not let me have pickup. It went automatically to delivery for sunday. Then charged me a 18 dollar fee plus an 18 dollar tip. It was my first order which it stated was free but charged me a delivery fee also. Then they did not have all my items but did not credit me for the 6 items they could not get. Taltogether they made over a hundred dollars of unauthorized money. I am filing a complaint with the attorney general. I have talked to other seniors and it seems this is common practice with instacart. Print your cart out and file with the Attorney General. Also call your bank and stop payment on your card. They are preying on the disabled and sick and elderly. They need to be shut down!
An order from Costco didn't go through due to issues with my Costco card, so the driver didn't do the order but had submitted it to InstaCart as having been delivered. He didn't know how to cancel it with InstaCart. He was communicative - very much unlike InstCart. I have ATTEMPTED to contact InstaCart several times, but they don't respond. Not only do they charge A LOT to deliver, they are taking money for products that aren't being delivered. AND - there is no record of my orders! I can't even check to see what they are charging me for. What a scam!
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
