We placed our first order ever with your company and were supposed to pick up our order today around 6PM. Received a notification that you can't get the order ready until tomorrow night at 7PM. That's ridiculous and false advertising. I'll make sure to rate and review accordingly, installing this app and creating an order have been the biggest waste of time ever.
Placed an order on line through Superstore to be delivered by Instacart.
The price quoted on line for vegetables & fruits ended with an overcharge of more than double the quoted price.
Bosc pears- quote $2.19 charged $4.37, Red potatoes - quote $4.10 cost $8.74 Oranges Quote $7.87 cost $13.1
& more. I call this gauging specially at this time of Corona. E mails to Instacart were of no help.
Finally after using Instacart for weeks we got the perfect shopper/delivery person. Tanna R. Thank you!
Everything was perfect & she kept in contact the whole time for replacements etc.
Prices are higher than in store (across all the stores), additional 'service fee' based on order size "so they can run background checks' -... isn't that what the $99 membership fee is for? Customer service nominally helpful but I ended up paying $17 for a single order as I cancelled the subscription after seeing the additional service fees and consistently higher prices. Most expensive delivery service ever used - lol. Except, I'm not laughing yet.
Shopper did a good job most of the time. It was the charges that were being made to my credit card. I always asked for the Kroger receipt to be put on my grocery bags. Instacart was charging me $10,$15, and even $22 more than the actual bill at checkout. I had to call every time to get it adjusted. This last time they blamed it on Kroger setting different prices online than what you actually pay for in store. $10 this go around. Yeah, I don't think so! Ripping people off and blaming someone else
Put in my order waited 2 hours for delivery, which was fine. Driver text me "Im sorry, I can not find your address" I text back with assistance. Driver never answers. 1 hour later I check the website and chat with service and they tell me driver CANCELLED order. Service says "its okay, we will reschedule". They give me a time frame 3-10pm. At 10PM NO ORDER is delivered. I chat again on website and they look in to it and tell me, the driver left your food at the wrong house, do you want to reschedule for the morning and we can give a $10 CREDIT. Meanwhile there is 3 charges to card while I'm checking online. Seriously?! Tomorrow?! $10?! This company has no respect for their customers
I argued with my daughter. Myself stating it didn't cost more I was wrong we were charged 40 cents to $4 more for every single product a $191 bill on insta cart costed 123 11 in the albertsons store. Sad
Beware! Awful experience, shopper was good but Instacart & stores charge much higher online prices, you get charged those prices not the actual store prices which is reflected on your bill. I was overcharged by $90, they try to tell me that is for taxes & tips, which is not true, $90 was in addition to all that. I was also charged for items not received, that is fraudulent, stealing extra money, taking advantage hoping customers do not actually read their bills. DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.
They don't deliver when or where you request your order to be placed. The food sits hidden and spoils. I would almost rather risk going to the grocery myself and the getting Covid-19 and dying than dealing with Instacart.
Let's see... they didn't have my items, the shopper did not text me and ask if his substitutions were okay, an email I got said he would ask and if I wasn't near the phone the item would be refunded, then he texted that he was able to cancel the order, sorry for the inconvenience, then an hour later he delivered it (perishables, who knows where they were for an hour, I am 12 minutes from the store), and he dumped them on my front doorstep not in a bag or anything, just a pile of groceries on the mat where people stand in their shoes (gagging while typing this).
We ordered home delivery couple of times from Costco at Hillsboro through instacart. Today, I observed the delivery. The driver did not wear any mask or gloves during the delivery. During this corona time, this is very concerning and no way prevent consumers to be affected by the delivery person. Can instacart please follow up on that? It does not take much to put gloves and mask for this kind of delivery to keep many other people safe. This is very inconsiderate action from instacart. I am considering to stop taking any more instacart delivery due to this action.
I can't believe that instacart is able to operate comfortably in the United States. This company should be regulated and shut down. I've been working for instacart for over two months now. The service is a disgrace all across the board.
Lie after lie being told from customer support. It's the same 5 or 6 people who answer the phones from either India or Latin America. They work right from their houses, Sometimes u can hear dogs barking and dishes being washed while talking to their support team. Most of them don't speak or understand basic English and have even answered the call half asleep. It's disgusting and sad!
They reset my account and put me out of work for weeks during this pandemic. Trust and Safety team is a joke as well. They never reply to the emails and leave u waiting for months.
I called and I tried doing the chat from the app but they are never able to help with anything and make u wait for hours to only tell u more lies.
Shopping for customers is a pain because the app crashes daily leaving customers waiting and unhappy. Then u have to deal with ungrateful customers that lie and report groceries stolen because they are upset with instacart but they really hurt the unsuspecting driver just trying to make an honest living.
Also, instacart blatantly allows undocumented workers with fake accounts to use the app to shop for customers and steal work from legitimate workers. ( SO CUSTOMER BEWARE BECAUSE U NEVER KNOW WHO WILL SHOW UP TO YOUR HOME.) The company could care less and is ran very unprofessionally and childishly. God knows how much the support team is getting paid because those poor people can't even speak English. So I'm sire they are being taken advantage of as well.
Instacart refuses to notify customers that items are out of stock forcing the shopper to replace items that the customer may not want. The app is garbage and so is the company.
Uber, Doordash, and instacart are all the same people. These gig apps really need to be regulated and fined for the treatment of customer and employees. They steal money from shoppers and customers the same. It's gross!
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Today I purchased an order that was delivered with almost 50% wrong replacements. When I reached out to Instcart to let them know and request partial refund or credit, they replied with policy quotes on why I was wrong and they were right. I will never use Instacart again.
Shopper wore NO gloves, NO mask, and took my license to swipe it with NO social distancing. UNBELIEVABLE that INSTACART protocols during COVID are nonexistent! I wiped entire order down with alcohol and I will NEVER USE instacart again.
I have noticed extra charges on my account from Instacart. I have tried to resolve this issue but have not received any feedback. I will not use anymore
I would give this service a zero if I could. I've been using instacart for the past few months and I realized that not only the charge you a 5% fee and 5% delivery (we give the delivery employees 10% and they have been wonderful) and an delivery fee they have also been charging extra for each item. For instance I bought a bakery item for $12 and they charged me $13.79. But the other day I ordered the store brand chicken, and they replace it with another store brand chicken, instead of charging $2.99 a pound which is what the store charged, they charged me $4.30 so my chicken which should of been a total of $15.74 was instead $23.14. This is predatory(opportunistic) pricing and I will no longer be using instacart. Customers beware!
I placed an order with Instacart and when it was delivered I received the paper receipt from the shopper showing I was charged $52.78. When I received the online receipt from Instacart it reflected a total charge of $60.48; a difference of $7.70. The first customer "service" rep I spoke to told me I was wrong and that I must have the wrong paper receipt (although the items shown were the same ones I received). After being placed on terminal hold I hung up and called in again. This time the rep was very helpful and set up a refund for me. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE this "service".
I was charged for 10 small hams that I didn't receive totaling $53.90 plus tax. My account was never credited. 2 charges in the same day. I have emailed several times with no response. I should have only been charged $111 which was the first charge on my account the they took another $53.90 out. I want a refund to my account!
This company is garbage stay away and use another service they are no professional and i pray that i will shut this service down let alone help shutdown there servers. They will deactivate a shopper account with no fault of your own and there is no 800 number to contact support, they are not professional and have no consideration and will be getting a letter for a suit against them. $#*! with a bull and get the horns.
Zero stars if I could. One year as an express customer and I've had SO MUCH bad produce and damaged items. I'm disabled and I used this service so I wasnt hauling groceries up and down stairs. Still had to. Lazy drivers will call and have me unload their car when I am PAYING for them to do it. They can't follow instructions. Instacart customer service sucks. I finally had enough when shoppers started showing up at my apartment without masks or gloves during the covid-19 pandemic. I have lupus and do chemo treatments to control my symptoms. All it would have taken was one infected jerk shopper to KILL me. Crappy overpriced service isn't worth my life.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
