. The shoppers get the worst vegetables, fruit and meat. I sear these individuals are brain dead.
I always have to call Instacart because my orders are Harding right. Very frustrating, NO MORE, DONE
My friend posted there was a $20 coupon for new members on their first order. So I signed up, put the items in my cart and upon check out there was no free shipping nor a coupon to apply. I tried contacting the company about this and got nothing. So I cancelled my membership and now I'm going to the store. Which I should have done in the first place because I would have found my items and been home by now. Live and learn, don't use this service, it's not worth it!
The delivery person dropped a gallon of milk before it was brought into my house. Now milk is all in my carpet! The delivery person was too lazy to have my account credited let alone bring more milk. I filled out complaint and never heard back! I will never use this service again!
I placed an order over the weekend and before I get into the reasons for
My unsatisfied customer review, I have to say that the order came on
Time and my shopper was great. After I received the itemized receipt
From the shopper (which I found out later should not happen) and was
Sent the receipt via email, I realized they were off. My sub total price
Was not what the itemized receipt reflected from the grocery store and
Was about $8 off. I looked more into it and the discounts from the
Grocery store rewards program were not given to me and Instacart
Pocked the savings! I also was additionally charged for bags, sales tax
And the bottle deposit after already being charged by the grocery store
For those items. I understand that all in all it was only about an
Additional $10 but with the delivery fee, tip and service fee, it starts
To add up. Not to mention to me this feels like Instacart
Is not accurately billing me for the cost of my groceries. I wrote
Their customer service department and let them know how upset I was and
All I received was one generic message after another. Instacart does not care about fairly charging their customers and please beware!
They not only have a poor communication about changes to service plans. But also have the worst customer service reps to answer calls. Most unpleasant experience in all of retail shopping. Will never recommend them or return to instacart.
I placed an order on a Sunday afternoon for the football game. I paid for 1 hr delivery, after waiting 2hrs I called customer service
He said a shopper was never assigned. No delivery available for the same day, the store was closed in 10 mins of this phone call. He basically hung up on me. I'LL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!
The absolute worst service ever. First time using the service and my order was cancelled because the delivery person had an emergency. Ok they apologized, gave me a measly $5 credit and rescheduled for next day. I picked 11am so that I would get my order early. They went in and changed to 4-5pm. 6pm rolls around and no order has come. I had to Call them to ask where my order is. Apparently they never scheduled anyone. They can only offer me free delivery the next time and reschedule my order for the next day yet again. Three days to get an order. Stay away from INSTACART, absolute worst company EVER.
For the last year, *EVERY TIME* I order from InstaCart, there are multiple items that either are replaced with unacceptable alternatives or just refunded. So then I'll get in my car and go to the same store and my "out of stock" items are there. So why am I paying for someone else to do work I have to do anyway? I just canceled my account.
I had $550 in charges at that the store i use instacart to shop at. MY CARD WAS NOT LOST OR STOLEN. This is the only service that I use that a person in my area has the ability to charge my account at a grocery store WITHOUT MY CARD! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Ordered at noon on Monday. No show at 8 pm and then again for the next 2 nights. 3 strikes and you're out. Spent hours on the phone trying to resolve and never received them. What an incredible waste of time! Got to go... I'm off to shop for myself.
Great idea, and very helpful for the elderly. Let me say I've used the service about 10 times and have never had a problem with the shoppers. But the company's customer service is so bad it's "unbelievable".
They will be problems with the app. They will overcharge you. You will have questions about your delivery late bc of the app. And when you do and you call Instacart customer service, be prepared for some very young, unprofessional, untrained, disrespectful customer service reps to answer the phone. They start off friendly, but if you challenge them on anything such as "Did I wake you up?", "Sir whatever you're eating, can you please stop smacking it in my ear?" " No ma'am what you're saying is not what's on my receipt", "Are you high or drunk?", If you challenge them even a little bit, they can not handle it and become flustered, emotional, and confused. So be prepared for a customer service rep to respond with "Why are you judging me?" "You don't know me" Or "Shut the Fuk up." Unless you're from the coast you may think I am not exagerating. I'm not.
I'm in the south with young people that work hard, are polite, respectful, and take accountability for themselves. But I'm sure Instacart's customer service is from California or Jersey Shores.
The service in general overcharges for everything. The shoppers look for every opportunity to charge you more. If you ordered a 3 pack of soap for $2.67 they will say its out of stock and they won't get you 3 individual bars. No. They will replace it with the 6 pack for $5.84. Or they overcharge on many items such as paying $4.86 for orange juice that cost $2.36 in the store.
It's s rip off and not worth the headache of dealing with the very poor poor customer service.
On a $91 cash register bill, Instacart adds $14-$15 more dollars onto their subtotal, by inflating the prices of the items you see on your internet bill. Then they add on a $7.95 "service" charge on top of that.
Calling Instacart they say that they posted that they inflate store charges on their site and so it's legal. They say they don't need to do anything else. Tough luck if you didn't read it.
First time user. Please, please do not be fooled by the $5.99 delivery fee. I was and I am looking at $53 in fees on my final receipt for a $172 total grocery receipt. Only $35 dollars of that will be refundable to my bank account WITHIN 7 DAYS! None of this is revealed to you until after you have submitted your credit card and approved what you think is your total grocery bill! Very deceiving. Yup. Stay away, unless of course you are rich and this type of change makes no difference in your life. It does in mine.
Don't even get me started on what I really thought this service was. I've used grocery delivery before on different supermarkets in which they have their own employees bagging and selecting the items, and delivering. I really thought instacart was only the delivery part. No. Some random person personally shopping for very specific products. You kinda' have to know a little bit about grocery shopping. Call me different, but not everyone has experience doing this. For some of the shoppers, this might be even their first time.
Not worth the hassle, the aggravation with the fees, and the fact that I still have to go to the store to find some of the stuff this person somehow could not find.
1. Shoppers work very hard under stricht time limits to complete your orders.
2. There's so many out of stocks at a high volume store everyday, but it's worse on Sunday and Monday.
3. We give you a replacement with something very similiar, ie customer ordered Snapple Peach Tea, which was out. I replaced it with Sweet Leaf Peach tea, she wanted a refund instead. This is utterly lame.
4. As I mentioned, there will usually be some replacements, it's the best to add in your 2nd choice, especially on frequently out of stock items.
5. When we are shopping, we're given a minute per item, including check out and bagging, in a crowded store with long lines and out of stocks. Stop just handing out the poor service complaints just because.
6. If you hate replacements, just let us know. Always a good idea to pay attention to your phone to answer questions. We may be done shopping in 5 minutes, if you didn't respond we have to check out anyway.
7.If you love to complain and tip badly, don't like any replacements, then you should probably shop yourself.
I spent an hour ordering my groceries on the App. I was in a live chat with a person shopping on my behalf. She replaced a few items, and I approved them. The App was updated with a later delivery time quote. I received a call from an 800 number and it was Instacart informing me of an error. That person on live chat changed to someone else's name. That new person was starting my shopping list, again! I completed my shopping list at 4:13 pm and now it's 8:18 pm and nothing got done!
DO NOT USE THEM! A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME!
I had a shift Friday September 7th from 10 to 2 and I got absolutely nothing out of it. I went to all of the "hotspots" for at least 45 minutes each spot and got nothing. B. S complete waste of time. I wasted my damn gas for no money what so ever. And I specifically bought a cooler for instacart and that was a waste of money... DONT SHOP FOR THEM!
I never leave reviews like this, but my experience with Instacart (as a deliverer) was truly horrifying. It was so bad that I felt it would be an injustice not to write this.
I became a deliverer 2 weeks ago. During the first several days, no hours were available in my "zone." After checking relentlessly, I got a one hour shift, but I was given no direction on what would happen during my "shift." As soon as it started, my phone started beeping, saying I had a "batch" of deliveries and had to pick them up from the store. Ok- where do I pick them up? Where do I drove them? Are they all set? Do I have to scan them? So many questions- no answers from Instacart.
After arriving at the store, I happened to see a shopper from Instacart who told me where to get the groceries. Oh and if the customer ordered hot food, you have to get separately. Nice to know- thanks for telling me Instacart.
Then finally I was off to deliver the groceries. Instacart doesn't tell you where to deliver them until they have you saddled with the bags in your car. Then they tell you you'll be driving all over town for no reimbursement for gas.
On a total of four orders, I drove over 70 miles. One of the orders I only made $6 on!
All in all, I have found this company to be extremely disorganized, unhelpful, and downright unethical when it comes to paying employees. Don't bother finding out for yourself- Instacart wants you to work for free.
Pass.
I placed my first order on 9/2/18 at Wegman's in Auburn NY, using Instacart. The time for delivery said "within 2 hours".
Two and a half hours later, my order still isn't even put together,
Let alone delivered. I called Instacart customer service, and was told
That it's because this is a holiday weekend. He also said that maybe
They should not offer short delivery times on holiday weekends. He said I
Could cancel if I wanted to.
My complaint is that I didn't ASK for 2 hour delivery... Instacart
OFFERED it. I guess I shouldn't shop on holiday weekends, eh? So, here I
Sit, for who knows how long, to wait for my groceries... putting other
Stuff I wanted to do on hold. Great first (and last) experience.
DON'T OFFER SOMETHING IF YOU CAN'T PRODUCE! I thought this would be a good service... maybe it is for a different company!
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
THERE IS NO JOB! I applied through indeed.com (another false lead way to get a job and/or be hired And snag.com is another false lead rip off!). After signing up, there are NO JOBS to be had at least in the "zones" you request. There is a two week window to get hours, but the thing is, there is NO way you can get hours. I desperately need income STAT! But you can't go any farther with this tease you into thinking you can work company. And unless you are computer savvy, you are SOL! The damn app they want you to download onto your phone is NOT user friendly. And they do NOT offer any help or instruction. If you need money, and a job, this is definitely NOT where you need to apply (another rip off is Uber eats. They only have jobs in crime ridden areas. At least in Baltimore, Maryland).
Does Publix honor advertised BOGO? Why when I click on bananas I get not a bunch but (1) banana and when something is left off my order I must go to the store to try and make it right.
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
