One day I got a message from Indeed that my account is blocked and no further discussion is possible. I am disappointed as we have been working with Indeed for one year already and hired a lot of candidates. What went wrong with Indeed? Why you do not talk to your clients and just send a simple bot reply? Unprofessionally :(
Is there anyone who can provide any clarification?
Indeed.com allows you to post two types of jobs: one type is free and the other is sponsored. We are a pretty small business, then we chose to use the free type. However, Indeed.com disabled our account just because we chose the free posting. I think it is cheating. If you have no way of providing a free posting, then dont advertise it, otherwise you don't deliver what you promised, then that is cheating. So many small business can work together to sue you. I called numerous times and also submitted twice appealing but no any result. I decided to come here to seek help.
Hi! We would be happy to help clarify our process and assist further. We have sent a private message, please reply back when you have a moment. Thank you!
Indeed did exactly as expected. My ad ran, I received many applications with qualified resumes. Unfortunately the finance industry is suffering from a lack of experienced accountants, not just software jockey's and I had to reach out to my network to find someone, but I will definately use Indeed again.
Hi Terry, thank you for sharing your experience with us. If there's anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
This site is a complete waste of time. We ran an add that did not post for several weeks. It took calling in and leaving four different messages to finally get some assistance. When we finally spoke to someone they told me that the add was pulled by the review team. They would not give any explanation why and there is no one that can give a reason. We spent 350.00 dollars with them and zero results! TERRIBLE COMPANY!
As of today, there hasn't been any movement with my account. An indeed rep for sitejabber (assuming a real person, not a bot) sent me a message on this site instructing me to send my company's tax form to them as well... even though I had already submitted this sensitive document to Indeed's customer service email address. Again, no response from Indeed at all. I am seriously concerned that such sensitive data (a company's tax information) is being requested and am becoming concerned that perhaps Indeed is data-mining since no real identity (person) or agent number is attached to their emails. I think we should be asking for THEIR tax information to prove Indeed is authentic.
I am an Agreement Manager for a company who manages a large area of provincial parks. The staffing levels for our company is over 200 people. Today, Indeed disabled my account without explanation. This is extremely frustrating for not just myself, the company I work for but also any potential candidates who have applied because I cannot contact them to explain why the job posting instantly disappeared! This really reflects poorly on us as an organization. Indeed needs to take a close look at their policies and procedures and come up with a better solution than randomly blocking legitimate companies and leaving no explanation for the potential employees who are trying to contact said companies. Very poor company policy on their part!
Like so many others, we have been using Indeed for several months when out of the blue we had an emailed message saying that we are banned form using them as our ads contravened some unknown guidelines. No explanation offered.
For some time, we have used Indeed exclusively and successfully to staff our garden design and maintenance business and have paid for ads.
I have no idea what sort of business model they think they have but after this, I consider them worse than Ebay on a bad day. Very unprofessional and a low grade business partner that we do not need.
Avoid at all costs.
Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We were able to locate your account and do see it is enabled and active. We've sent you a private message to see how we can assist you further. We look forward to hearing from you.
I've been using Indeed and have hired many applicants. Then all of a sudden my account was disabled. You have to jump through hoops to change your wording and stringent guidelines. I'm baffled at this.

As a company do not use indeed to advertise a job. I was billed over £400 after receiving numerous contacts from applicants who were in no way qualified or suitable for the position. After raising the matter with the indeed their answer was... their site is not monitored... poor respond! A poor disgraceful service.". Avoid using this site! I've never felt so annoyed about such a despicable service and I am clearly not alone. Looking at other reviews so many other employers have experienced a similar service and felt mis led with the billing practise.
Indeed provided a partial refund for this client in the amount of of £167.28 for the last month of charges as well as a credit of charges of £131.87 towards two accounts which were created with jobs that were still running on Indeed.
I created account last week, i only can see the candidate resume for 1 day.
Now i tried many times to check for candidates that applied for a job still cannot access.
Appear account is disable. Billing also error.
Well if you want us to pay please be more transparent! It is not about money but wasting our time for creating a job post!
Hi Fiqa, we are very sorry to hear about this experience. We just sent you a private message with details on how you can proceed here. If we can assist further please let us know in there.
We emailed, called couple of time, customer service is really horrible. All they said again and again, Indeed reserve the right crap... I kept asking about the reason but they didn't answer. This site needs to be avoided and should not be used for recruitment.
Hello, we're sorry for the negative experience with Indeed. Unfortunately, after further investigation into your account, we were not able to clear your positions for visibility on Indeed. To protect the integrity of the site and our quality procedures, we're unable to share the reasons behind this decision. Indeed retains the right to undertake the removal of any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. For additional information, please reference our guidelines: http://www.indeed.com/hire/job-posting-guidelines
They banned my account when I was in contact with candidates. I posted an ad in french in the english section and they blocked my account. They said I can appeal, only reply I received is im still banned and that I need to go search in the help topic. Since then not a single reply to 3 emails I've sent. It's disgusting when big companies treat users this way.
The message copy/paste they sent after filling all their procedures. What a waste of time:

I have been reading many reviews online regarding accounts being disabled on indeed. My account was disabled for no reason and We have a registered business with paperwork.
Some cases say because employers post for free hence why their accounts are disabled. At this point I'm not ready to sponsor a job I want to use this service for sometime before I decide to use paid subscription.
All I want to know is what are the guidelines I need to post a job successfully on indeed and that my account will stay.
Please can someone assist me on how to proceed from here.
Thank you and awaiting your swift response.
Jonathan

We are a long established manufacturing company in operation for more than 50 years with employees in different provinces of Canada.
Indeed cancelled our posting privileges without an explanation despite submissions through their appeal process in the last six months. They provided no warning, no opportunity to correct a practice that they may have required changed, and were secretive and not transparent in their communications.
We valued the service received from Indeed, and were treated without consideration, and were left with the impression that they considered us to be an unethical or dishonorable organization.
All dealings with them are a monologue, and not a dialogue. They treat good long term customers unfairly, and provide no opportunity to appeal or review their determinations.

As a recruiter, I use various sites to advertise our company's vacancies. Like several others, indeed allows you to finish writing your job posting, finalising every detail;, before telling you you'll need to pay an upfront fee to have your job advertised. I feel this is very misleading and should have been made clear from the start. The layout of the site and the format of job postings seems good, but it's lost some stars for its misleading information (or lack thereof.) I have since been informed that postings are monitored on a case-by-case basis; this system now makes more sense! It's nice to have the option to sponsor jobs, but a general guideline of which jobs will need to be sponsored would be useful.
Hello Liam, thank you for contacting Indeed. Indeed offers a free posting option for advertisers who do not wish to sponsor their jobs, however certain positions do require sponsorship in order to be shown on Indeed. The reason we require jobs to be posted before providing sponsorship information, is because this decision is made on a case by case basis depending on the job. We are unable to give clear guidelines on whether or not a position will need to be sponsored until a job description and title are answered. For more information, please reference our guidelines here: http://www.indeed.com/hire/job-posting-guidelines. Thank you.
Great site when you are in and operating on it. Terrible access, and now I cant even navigate where I left off. Needs additional design work to allow employer to post his own questions. The site makes it too easy for any Yahoo, to post anything rather than a critical evaluation of resume.
Hi there, sorry for the poor experience with navigating the site. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com.
I advertised my first job posting on indeed it was live for around 3 hours when i received an email saying my account was disabled. I called indeed to find out why and was told that because we had put an age restriction in, they classed the ad has being discriminatory. I explained that for anyone to work within this trade they have to be 21 years of age or older by law as it is a legal requirement set by the UK government not us. They told me that i had to remove it. I removed the part they didn't like and disabled my account again for no reason at all.
Hi Ben. We'd like to review this situation further for you. We have sent you a private message so we can assist. Feel free to follow up with us there, thank you.
We´ve created three accounts on Indeed- the second one since our first account got got disabled with no clue as to why. All three times our companies accounts have been disabled without a Word - or even worse, from a customer service Point of view, a response to our inquiry - from indeed. I was recommended from a partner to use this website for recruiting - as it supposedly was worth the higher cost - but since I can´t even get information on basic things, I´m glad I never got as far as to pay for their services. Our companies will stick to Ziprecruiter. And Indeed, you definitely need to take a close look at your customer service department. Something´s wrong with the leadership there.
After getting additional information from the client, we were able to get their account verified. They are now able to post on Indeed moving forward with no issues and their account is no longer disabled. We request this additional information before verifying the account in order to provide the best possible experience for the job seeker.
I am a startup and had my account disabled a one day after as I posted 6 positions in a row. Told me to submit documentation, which I provided my payslip to them. Now because of that I am unable to find candidates for my employer and cannot fill those positions.
When you are a new business and theses barracudas are saying stuff like that it can damage you:
"As I cannot get jobs listed anywhere.
I don't how other companies account are being managed by indeed.
They don't even deserve a single star for this pathetic Customer Service
Hi Omair,
We are sorry to hear about your experience!
To explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met.
Please note: Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any Company's account, for any or no reason. We cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.
The documents provided do not meet the requirements to verify your account. This is due to the document being a payslip.
Please provide our moderation team with a scan or image of one of the documents they specifically requested.
Best regards,
The Indeed Team
I very much enjoyed my experience with Indeed in regard to our search for a Customer Service Rep. Most of the candidates met the criteria we asked for which allowed us to narrow our candidate base and not waste either parties time and effort.
Thanks for the great feedback Kevin!
You cant stop it, it takes a miracle to close your account. Then we posted a few free ads and the closed our account for no reason at all. They wont even tell you why. I would never ever trust this fake scam of a company again. Someone is going to have to take them down for good. Watch it will happen, they will get busted for fraud
Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we're happy to help here. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
