You can never always rely on the word of a friend when it comes to recommending movies to watch. Plus, I don't like trailers because they kind of spoil some parts of the movie. IMDb allows users to identify latest and upcoming movies. The viewer ratings are quite accurate as i have never been disappointed. I highly recommend IMDb.
I have been using the site since the year began to review and rate movies, and while it is okay, it does have some problems. One of them being that if you share your opinion on a certain movie (especially if it's a new release), there is a high chance a lot of people will vote your review not helpful, especially if it is a movie they hate for a certain reason (like it's a live action remake of an animated film or it has a political message they don't like). Also, the site does have problems when uploading pictures. Best to steer clear of this one when it comes to posting movie reviews.
I would give it 3.5 stars - but since they deleted the message boards its just not as fun.
I really enjoyed discussing movies on there with lucid people.
However, i think they had to take it down due to the number of asinine and/or crude remarks so often made on comment boards by senseless idiots.
What I most enjoy about IMDB is if you eveb just know part of the name of a movie, you'll probably be able to find it. If you like a particular actor, or director, or music artist, you can look them and see every movie or TV appearance they've done and then you can cross reference and find all sorts of movies you never knew existed!
I also enjoy looking up actors from the 30s thru 70's.
I also enjoy reading trivia and comments, amd movie trivia.
This is a great place to find a movie title from around the world complete with director and cast. You can read reviews from users and find showtimes for currently playing films in theaters near you. You may even write your own reviews and give ratings to your favorite movies and television programs.
It used to be much better when they had a forum where users could ask questions about any movie. If you had a burning question or were trying to track down a forgotten title, someone out there had an answer. It's sad that IMDb removed this feature because of abuse.
A good site for information on movies, but members are a bit racist. It's a bit hard to see, but the site is a bit racist. Some of the best African American shows and movies get a low rating and even the worst movies get buried.
For five years now, I have been trying to delete a factually inaccurate title I uploaded to IMDb when I was 14 years old. The customer support is a joke, they do not listen to anything I have to say and constantly defend their illogical "policies". Letterbo xd and TMDb are much much better alternatives.
This site is poorly run and overpriced if you want to be listed. They have NO RELATIONSHIP with SAG-AFTRA and do not update or correct mistakes. It is as bad as Wikipedia when it comes to factual information and reliability.
I changed settings repeatedly for two weeks to rid my email box of childish spam. No luck, no help, no account. I closed the damned thing.
They ban a lot of bad movie reviews, and their actual movie rating is missleadning to the public...
I always use the app as my go-to if undecided on a film. However like a lot of user -based review sites it's a platform for the disease known as "review bombing", often by people who've not even watched the film but got told to by Twitter lol. Ignore any review 10/10 and 1/10 and look for more balanced views which sit on between 3/10 to 8/10. It still takes a bit longer and needs reading but you'll find enough objective views. The level of customisation, library of info, lists and features is superior to Rotten tomatoes, although that can be a negative too as usability and navigation is better on RT. However the review panel for RT do seem to getting out of touch with everyday folks, particular with just plain old fun, creative escapism type films that you can sit and enjoy them with the kids on a Sunday afternoon. This is often evident in the wide score margins between critic and user review!
One-stop shop for all things movies and TV shows? Look no further than IMDb! This platform has it all, from ratings and reviews to cast and crew information, trailers, and more. Whether you're a casual viewer or a die-hard fan, IMDb has something for everyone.
IMDb solves the problem of having to scour the internet for information about movies and TV shows. With everything in one place, it's easy to find what you're looking for quickly and efficiently. Plus, the user reviews and ratings help you make informed decisions about what to watch next.
Great free resource to use when you need details on a movie or TV show quickly.
While IMDb is a great resource, it's not without its flaws. The search function can be a bit finicky at times, and some of the user reviews can be unreliable. However, these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall usefulness of the platform.
Overall, IMDb is a must-have tool for any movie or TV show lover. Its vast library of information and user-friendly interface makes it a breeze to use
This site is a leader among the others for me. It always helps me to look for some great movies by means of their authentic film-ranking. The reviews are also very informative and sometimes enforce you to see the other side of the film, which you even haven't thought about.
Which website do you visit if you would like gain information about movies? I am sure that many of you would be fans of imdb.com, just like me. This internet movie database is the perfect source of information for movies, television shows, and celebrities. I make sure that I refer to the user reviews here before I watch or download a movie. This helps me save my precious time. I have created an account in this website to manage my own lists. After watching a movie, I post my ratings and reviews on the site to help other members.
Good site for looking to see whether films are any good or not. You need to get s "feel" for what the scores mean though; around 6 is generally a pretty poor film, 7+ generally alright... You can tell it's going to be a real stinker if the score is near 3 though!
Def the best site for getting all kinds of really good info about movies and actors. I also really like how you can just like look up an actor or actress, see EVERYTHING that they have starred in, and really get a good idea of their history and roles and stuff. It's just a lot of information available, plus good recommendations and ratings. Working my thru the top 100 too!
IMDB is great for entertainment industry related information on people, companies and projects. However I've noticed that people have been manipulating the site more and more lately. First started with the Starmeter. The Starmeter is IMDB's popularity contest. A great tool if some people didn't drive traffic to it to pump up their start power to look important. Another thing is the wrong use of work credits by stating that sites like Youtube and Vimeo are the distribution outlet for a project that is not relevant to the industry. IMDB needs better enforcement of this issue so people can't claim credits overnight that others work years to get.
Awesome. For those who know the facts true life is better than fiction, RBG and her husband were a formidable team and their family and professional life and frustrations was realistically portrayed. Bravo to the acting cast and the producers. Need to produce more true stories of this caliberintelligent, humanistic, honest portrayal. I'm now an RBG fan!
I have yet to find a website to replace this ill-designed resource for films. It's the first thing that I think to go to when I want to find out who was in what, or what film is that again? There's no easy way to cross-reference actors so winning that Kevin Bacon game takes more work than it should. Additionally, everything about the appearance and organization of IMDB is wrong. There is nothing else that I find useful about it, except that once I almost was able to obtain "MTV's 25 lamest" episode from another user. However that fell through and I continue my life-long search.
This is generally the best site for finding info about both movies and TV shows, but with some inconsistencies. Although foreign films are there to be found, the plot and cast info can be less informative than for US-made films. Some older short films aren't there at all, but that might not worry too many people.
Great website, very useful and informative. I always trust IMDB and check the movie's ratings before I watch it. IMDB has great movie listings and suggestions as well as short biographies of actors, movie directors and so on. Everything you need in one place. Again, great website for movie lovers :)
IMDb has a rating of 2.4 stars from 109 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. IMDb ranks 23rd among Acting sites.
