The company's reputation reflects a mix of strengths and weaknesses. Customers frequently praise the quality of replacement parts and tools, highlighting the effectiveness of repair guides and the eco-friendly approach to packaging. However, there are significant concerns regarding customer service, particularly related to shipping issues, inadequate support, and challenges with returns. Some users have experienced problems with product quality, including receiving used or faulty components. Overall, while the company empowers customers with DIY repair options, it faces criticism for inconsistent service and product reliability, suggesting a need for improvement in these areas.

We are too small a business to stock every screen out there so we needed a supplier that we could depend on for a quality product and fast shipping. IFixit has proven itself over and over on both counts. We don't even bother looking anywhere else because we know we will get a great product at a good price faster than anyone else will get it to us. Kudos!
They sent perfectly functioning, awesome replacement parts (iphone 6 screen digitizer replacement), quality tools (bought pro tool kit, gets used almost daily), and I followed their free online, well structured, easy to follow instructions and the repair went off without a hitch
I purchased a screen replacement for my 2015, 15" MacBook Pro, and the part arrived very quickly. The screen works like a charm; however, iFixit coated the screen with an aluminum paint in order to cover any scratches it may have had in the past. This would be fine if the screen I purchased wasn't classified as an "A" part. I'm sorry, but if you have to coat an entire screen to hide scratches before selling it, then that screen is definitely not a premium part. The only reason I didn't send it back is because the screen works, and the warranty is too good to pass up.
Thanks for my tool kit. My only issue is that i can pay someone else to fix my screen for same cost you sell the lcd + digitizer at. How is that saving anyone money? I've looked on wholesale websites and know you get these screens for dollars compared to selling price.
I ordered a part from iFixit. The parts arrived fairly quickly but didn't function. They were DoA out of the box. When I requested a replacement, it took 3 days for them to get back to me. They told me in that response that a new part would be shipped within one business day. It is now 4 business days later and I have no tracking information, nor have I received anything back from their support team.
I'd highly recommend staying away from iFixit.
The kit provided made changing the battery very simple! I wish that I would have changed the battery alot sooner. There are 5 phones on our plan, I will not hesitate to change the batteries when needed, iFixit makes it easy to do!
I previously left a review about a bad battery destroying my phone. It turns out the battery I'd purchased wasn't the correct one for my phone, even though I'd looked up the model number in old purchasing records (which were incorrect). IFixit was polite, and I was an idiot.
I've been using these guys for over a decade and I've never had an issue. Great service and products. I wish more sites were like them!
The MacBook replacement battery I purchased from iFixit had a higher design capacity than the ones listed on Amazon, and arrived quickly and very well packaged with tools. The video and instructions on the site made it very easy to install, and it works great! I would definitely purchase parts from iFixit again.
Never received the item what i a waste of time. They never reponsed me i had to file a disputed this ifix it is a thieve company
Great service, fast delivery, valuable knowledge on fixing almost anything. Their website is easy to navigate. Thanks
I have repaired dozens of my friends and families Laptops, Desktops, iPhones, iPads, Airport Extremes; replacing broken screens, batteries, cooling fans, memory chips, hard drives and so forth. I have used this source for years and found their guides accurate and dependable, and replacement parts are high quality and fairly priced
The repair guides on iFixit are really easy to follow. I have repaired two MacBook Pros and an iPhone and also a washing machine. The prices for spare parts are reasonable although the Australian iFixit site is very limited on spare parts availability so I end up buying parts from the USA website. Still, I save a fortune on labour costs.
I had read that the picture may not reflect the actual color with the GLASS screen. When I brought the phone in, they assured me that they Only use a NEW High Quality LCD Display Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly Replacement for iPhone 7. They repaired it quickly, I came to get it, and I was immediately disappointed! The Home Screen The Home Screen picture did not reflect the actual color and displayed poor, blurred, quality as if it was a glass screen! When I got home, encountered difficulties several times with the Touch Features. I have to press hard or lick my finger to move an item in an area. Also, often the whole screen freezes to where I cant do anything but turn the phone off and on again for it to work again. Then I saw that your warranty stated: Defective Parts are a common issue in this type of business.
I sent 2 emails, with no response! I called and was told that they use REFURBISHED products, even though they SAID they use NEW. Alexander, General Mgr, was to call me, left msg, and never called again. Due to their unprofessional Management, refurbished products, and unreliable service, I brought my phone back. Now 5 days later, the credit still hasnt shown up on my credit card!
Intook my phone to Magic Wireless, at Hacks Cross and Lawrence, *******, they said my digital screen was damaged too! They used NEW Screens and replaced both screens for $85.00 plus tax and its working GREAT!
A colleague recommended this awful company and l was so desperate that l foolishly trusted her word and did not read reviews and l wish l had been more patient and read reviews before taking my phone to such horrible people. First, l was charged $180 to fix my a bleeding screen on my Samsung s6 phone. To make it even worse l had to pay the total amount upfront! They promised to call me when my phone wad ready, the never did. When l finally got my phone back, l noticed that the screen was less touch sensitive, it was so hard typing anything. I took it back to them and again l was promised to be called when they received the screen, and again, they didn't call me.
At last my screen has been fixed. My advice to anyone out there, TAKE YOUR DEVICE TO THE HONEST AND LESS EXPENSIVE PEOPLE AT THE MALL, YOU HET GREAT SERVICE FOR A FRACTION WHAT YOU WOULD pay at Ifixit. I was ripped off. Listen to me, please don't use their services!
I bought a raplacement part and some other fix materials. Package arrive very fast and without any itch. They care about the whole process, from sending to arrival.
Regards from Chile
I love ifixit, its been so convenient, ive been able to fix my things myself, save a buck and get some experience, keep it up guys.
My iPhone 6 headphone jack wasn't working properly, so I decided to purchase the replacement part from iFixit, which also included a new lightning port, speaker and a few new connectors for other components.
I followed the instructions correctly, however, the speaker stopped working, and the vibrator would work only occasionally (original vibrator that came with the phone, but new connector). The whole phone would get very hot just from being switched on, and also had poorer battery life. Wifi would also drop in and out, probably because of the new cable/ connector for the antenna. None of these issues were occurring before I used the replacement part. I ended up having to go to a repair shop to get a full unit replacement done. See photo for the replacement part.
I bought the pro tech tool kit, which was priced $10 cheaper than resellers. Package arrived in the time frame established at checkout, and was packed well. Very happy with iFixit, and will probably buy more from them in the future.
Bought a tri-wing Y00 bit from them to do some home repair work on a Nintendo product I own. I was happy to support iFixit since I've found a lot of useful (and free) DIY information on their website, and the tri-wings are exceedingly uncommon bits, especially at this size; none of my local stores either carried or had them in stock. It was probably a little expensive for a single bit (mostly thanks to shipping), but it was a very high quality bit and it was worth the price, due to the low quality of the screws Nintendo uses in the product I was seeking to repair and how prone they are to stripping. I wouldn't have wanted to take the chance using anything lower quality, and thanks to the quality of the product iFixit sold me, the work went flawlessly.
