Offers info on divorces bankruptcies liens, Unable to get any info! When I called they said it's not public info (offers it on thier website) very deceiving. To many other issues to list. Find a reputable place- but don't use this one! No refunds either.

I paid $3.95 for a records search that omitted the one item that I specifically requested.
Since that time, they have charged my card twice on a monthly basis for $44.95!
I called their 24/7 help line and no one picks up. I informed my credit card company and blocked them.
This is a pure scam. AVOID!

This company started charging recurring charges, went to cancel and was told I wasn't charged, even with evidence, didn't want to hear it. The rep then tells me I will have my money refunded even though I wasn't charged. He then tells me that my bank cancelled it, which they didn't. I now am filing an affidavit for fraud and will turn it over to the Attorney General. If you run a business that steals from people, expect to pay the repercussions.

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it, service is horrible and they clearly don't account for what they do.

If I could give a rating of less than 1 star I would. It is another racket that after you sign up, is virtually impossible to cancel. You cannot email them and when you call, you get disconnected within 1 minute. They know you don't want to cancel your credit card because of the inconvenience to your other transactions. They are a sham and only use with a debit card you don't mind canceling.

This company is committing fraud on multiple levels; it pays for data from dark web and also steals your information when you call their 1-800 number. This number is not even IDTrue but a third party call center based in South America. If you try to ask the name of this third party they will say they can't disclose and instead will ask for your information. If you don't give them your info they will then hang up the phone as they couldn't take any more data from you and their company doesn't make money. Beware, this company needs to be shut down by the FBI!

I am very dissatisfied with this company. I signed up in April, I tried to log in with all of my information, and it was not letting me, so it seems I ended up with two accounts(which I was totally an aware of). I noticed in June $44.95 was taken out of my account 2 times. I called and it was refunded. I have had a lot of things going on with my Venmo account so I figured I would go through all of my charges and see what else I had. It showed that $44.95 was taken out 2 times in May. I called to discuss why $44.95 was taken out 2 times before, and that's when I was told I had 2 accounts. I could not be refunded because they can only go back one month. I used this company maybe for a week or two tops, it didn't have a lot of what I was looking for, so to be charged two times for something that I definitely didn't use more then a few days really is ridiculous. They can clearly see I never used it in May or June, which I can see paying $44.95 because I did not cancel, but to refuse to give me a refund because they can only go back one month is just greed on the company's part. I'm saying save your money it is not with what your paying for even for one month or the $9.95 trial.

Look up if people a satisfied with the company before spending a penny with ID true.

30 June 2023 I paid ID True for a report on an individual.

#1Neither before nor after I entered my credit card information was the price given.

#2 I never was provided the report

#3 After I paid I was immediately shunted to another web page bearing the completely different name of what appeared to be a totally diffrent people search website.

#4 That unknown, different website requested ne to sign up with them and give my credit card information which, of course, I did not.

#5 There was no way to get back to IDTrue.com from there. When I entered IDTrue.com I found no way to log in with my account I'd set up a few miments prior.

#6 NowI'll have to freeze and terminate my credit card and fet another credit card number.

IDTrue.com are crooks.

Does not provide a full criminal background check for employers. DO NOT PURCHASE. Worst $9.95 ever spent.

I read the reviews below, but they must be old or just plain wrong. I went to the website and clicked on the opt out link on the bottom of the page@ https://www.idtrue.com/optout. They send you an email and your info is removed instantly.

I signed up today.
I received a report in which the information turned out to be totally useless and out of date.
Very difficult to get hold of customer service to cancel subscription.
Have not succeeded doing that yet.
Very angry.

The only way it could suck more is by adding content to their web site. Reports are not printable, pulling a report usually doesn't work during off hours. This usually means that the company is either super strapped for cash, can't afford proper maintenance, or administration. This is really a bad (hosed up) site.

I joined IDTRUE today. I typed in a name and received nothing. As I type it has been over five minutes and all I get is a twirling circle that says loading report. Money down the drain.

After writing this review i called ID TRUE support line to cancel my subscription. It only took a minute or two for someone to take my call. I explained what the problem was and I told her I wanted to cancel and she obliged by sending me an email stating that my ID TRUE has beed cancelled.

I first ran the search (on myself), then joined. Once I joined, it required me to run the search AGAIN and then I was not even on the list. WASTE OF MONEY. SCAM! Now I have to deal with calling to cancel and try to get a refund. Save yourself the hassle! I wish I had read the reviews first.

The unlawful charges were removed on the next statement after I brought the problem to their attention. I did take the issue to my credit card company who resolved it. But the automatic billing should not have happened in the first place since I had cancelled the service. As for the information, I have no comment about that since I barely used the site.

An absolute rip-off! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!
They don't deliver their product; waited 20 minutes to speak with a customer service rep (in the Philippines, I think) and then got the run around. They charged me for a product I did not receive on line, and hung up when I resisted accepting a charge for something I didn't receive.

Site said FREE background check, so I went through 15 minutes of questions and crap just to be asked for my credit card number instead of giving results. Stop lying about your price to get traffic to your site!

I started a subscription with ID true so that I could check on one person. I only needed a little information about a person who had been killed in an accident and I was helping his wife look for any hidden bank accounts or life insurance information that she didn't know about. As soon as I ran all of the reports I canceled my subscription. Now six months later I happened to see that I'm still being charged. It's my fault for not diligently looking over my credit card charges. But after canceling I have continued to pay $38 a month for the past six months on a service that I have not used.

I signed up for this service on May 13,2018, for $9.99. I used the service once that same day and could have sworn that I'd canceled it promptly after that one and only usage. In reviewing my credit card statements (due to another issue) I now see that they'd been deducting $38.95 monthly for over a year!
On May 23,2019, that's when I'd noticed an, ID True.com charge on my banking statement account which was unfamiliar to me. I'd called them and asked for a refund which they'd sent back to me on May 25,2019, for $38.95. I'm now checking my emails for this unethical company and there was never any monthly notice of a price increase nor a monthly notice of billing. During that entire year, of being charged $38.95 when the initial fee was $9.99, I'd only received four messages from them: two on the day I'd signed up and one on the day that I'd re-canceled, and the other was two days later when they gave me a $38.95 refund for one month. They owe me an additional $428.45!
If need be, I will start a Class- Action Lawsuit, after now seeing all these bad reviews. Talk about unethical business practices. This website was a total scam, and the operators need to be prosecuted.

I wish I would have seen the reviews for this site before signing up with a membership. For one my "background check" didn't even have any information whatsoever on it. For TWO I tried to cancel my membership in August last month after paying MONEY for my subscription marketed as "free" and received another charge for 40 $#*!ing dollars from the website 2 days ago. They tell me they "don't have my info and my email I log in with has no account linked to it. I am about ready to get a lawsuit this is fraud at it's finest and I want my MONEY back. Do NOT use this site. I am calling my bank tomorrow morning. Whether I get a new card or not idk as I can not cancel my membership. This company is a thief.

I signed up today. I wanted to see the accuracy of their reports, so I ran a couple people I know have criminal records. They showed nothing for records. What good is this information if it isn't complete? It indicated you could cancel via email. NOT! I am going to try to call tomorrow to cancel. The information takes forever to load, you have to keep doing the click the pictures, I'm not a robot thing. None of the checks I did were accurate at all. I hope I am not going to have trouble cancelling. Wish I had done my review homework first.

I don't remember doing so, but I MIGHT have started a trial for $9.99 in December 2018 to search one time for one person. Now, a year later, I realize they have charged me a monthly subscription of $38.95 since January 2019! My credit card company actually contacted me about a suspicious/fraudulent charge, which prompted me to carefully check my statements. I cannot log into my supposed ID true account. I've clicked Forgot Password twice but I never receive an email to reset it, even though they say they have sent it. My credit card company agreed to reverse charges on the last 5 months of those payments and to block future charges, but I'm still out almost $300 for services I never wanted or used.

I stopped using the web site because EVERYTIME i tried it refused saying i'de got the password or user name wrong so ide change the password via the email i registered with and it still wouldnt let me log in. So left it a few mnts thinkin perhaps it WAS me or they had teethin troubles but went back and same old same old. So ive given. ITS CRAP
