A carefully thought out means of secure access to your IRS data when you need it. Creating the account, (including establishing biometrics for ID security) was easy …. Even for an old "wrinkly" like me! I'd seriously recommend every taxpayer just sign up and keep this tool in your back pocket for when you need fast and secure access to your IRS data.……Because you will need it sometime…
Over recent few years customer service and business are either null and void or very low quality. So, I have been Unpleasantly Not surprised by the majority. Im new to this and i love the app it protects everything if someone tried to log in i would have to verify its me and i like that i would know and the team member was very helpful and i had all my documents i needed to verify myself for my first time i definitely think its easier with ID.me
I had trouble loading documents because my hand shake too much and I can't take clear pictures when I went to the video and worked with an employee. I was able to get everything done and that was wonderful.
I loved the tension I had and despite it being very late at night, the attention I received was excellent 👌 Keep it up and don't stop. God bless every grain of sand that you contribute to your clients.
Extremely easy to complete for great security! We have been concerned about personal information especially with our tax information. ID. Me provides us with confidence that all of our personal info will be and stay safe.
The overall process was very fast. I think it said it could take up to 15 minutes but it actually only took about 5 if that. And most of that was pulling out my license and taking pictures for the upload. Very user friendly. The instructions were clear, simple and easy to follow.
Please and thank you make sure you have internet connection. I was asked to input a 6 - digit code for my email and phone to verify my ID. I waited, received, and input the codes for both. So far, so good. At the bottom of the screen, There' s a box with three choices on selecting a fruit/vegetable to prove that you're not a robot. I selected celery (the other two choices were wrong). Pressed continue. Apparently, that was the wrong answer, and the system reset itself, changing the 6 digit pins it asked you to enter to verify your email and phone. It also changed the question and choices to prove you're not a robot. I tried 2 - 3 times, got frustrated, and gave up.
I found it pretty easy to use, I seem to remember it being kind of a pain the last time I used it, but pretty straight forward now. I just hope they keep the I.D. stored so I don't have to go through the whole process everytime I want to access my accounts?!
From the first step to the last step this was a easy fast reliable process. With the information you provide to the verification video call I was on the phone for all of 3-7 minutes and had my account set up verified and logging in. I should have do e this a long time ago.
The process of being verified is important, but the wait time was ridiculous. I was shown on my screen that my wait time was 27 minutes and it ended up a 45 minute process. The agent doing the video call was absolutely professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. If all agents were like her we would all be happy!
I had no idea that a link from ID.me was going to pop up and that it was required to use the system to identify myself. I was hesitant and did not feel comfortable providing my personal, identifiable info. To a third party company.
I had an easy enough time logging in. However, there were difficulties finding documents with a social security number especially as an expat living and working in London. I do not receive many documents with SSNs. Luckily I have my card but perhaps having another option especially if an id like a drivers license goes out. That or have a way for expats to apply for an id of some sort that can be used
I thought setting up an account would be easy and that accessing my PIN would allow me to correct the issue with my tax returns. But instead, I was rejected yet again for no reason. I have tried 6 times to file my taxes, and I am very upset that the ID. Me "solution" didn't change anything. I will now be turning to a lawyer to resolve the issue because this "simple solution" was not as advertised.
I've been struggling for some time now to get my identity verified with ID me and the IRS due to identity theft. The support link was very helpful and helping me get started in re-verifying my identity. The process was more complex than it had been in the past and I was most appreciative of that. And I also appreciated the video call in which my documents were more completely identified and visually I could be identified
Verifying my identity and getting access back into my account was so easy it was crazy. I didn't expect things to be this straightforward and simple but it was and I'm extremely grateful. The agent was very respectful and professional and I definitely recommend ID.me 10 out of 10.
More errors than progress. That is concerning when dealing with sensitive information. I kept being kicked back to the sign in page. I spent well over 45 minutes between my phone and the computer trying to get this app to work. Unfortunately it's the only way to sign in to the IRS site.
I have no issues with the Social Security sign in. This one is a nightmare.
My experience with ID.me in setting up an account to file a complaint regarding identification theft was very easy. The detailed instructions guided me through the form quite smoothly and I was able to complete the form in a timely manner to submit to the IRS.
No one has reached out to assist me in unsuspecting my account. I create the account, double check once it is set up, I even save my username and password. But when I go to access the app and get into my account. It locks me out and I cannot get help unlocking the account. This is very frustrating. You can't even get this survey submitted. What the heck is going on her
The days of live interactive customer support are long gone. While directing access through online portals Live chat bots, and limited online chat support, On a recent government search, was having no success accessing the listed drop down needed. Then, a pop up appeared on screen for IDme, Explaining by creating a IDme account, my access to the government and many additional secured sites would be easy as 1-2-3! Always sceptical, I proceeded to setup an account. Took only a few minutes and once they processed the needed security documents for me. I was reviewing my needed forms and all other needed information. I don't do reviews, I apologize for the lengthy rambling/ My review on IDme. Is finally a User friendly, easy setup and 💯% secured platform to connect me to important and personal needed information/ I would recommend this to everyone. No hesitation. Good luck
