Id.me is literally the worst identity verification ever. Customer service sucks. Don't allow your account to get suspended because you will be out of luck. They will ask you to open a ticket and will not respond or try to resolve the issue. No customer agent to speak with because they do not have a number. Your whole entire life is literally in their hands. They will frustrate you. Everyone is having problems with them and some people have complained that id.me closes the tickets right after you opened it. This company is the most useless and God forsaking company ever.

Extremely difficult to complete the application. The first part is easy but getting back to the browser was a nightmare for an elderly person. After 3 days spending a few hours a day, I finally asked my grandson for help. He couldn't do it either. I finally took the second option to chat with someone. She verified my information & I was all set. I recommend doing the second option that takes a little longer.

Forced to use this to create an IRS account. Honestly pleasantly surprised at some aspects—clear well designed forms and little touches like the system texted my phone a link to take photos of documents. Agents I spoke to were personal, polite and efficient. HOWEVER, this process took 45 minutes because of tech failures was was frustrating as h**l. The system scanned my ids first, which I'm a pro at. Scans were clear. But it failed and dumped me into alternate process. Finally made it to my first video call which I thought was the finish line, and the agent's call dropped. I waited for 10 mins in the room for them to come back but they never did. Searched in vain for a way to continue the process, but was forced instead to restart the entire process, rescanning drivers license and passports etc.
Was offered to use ID.me for a discount from a merchant and found I could not use with the current promo they were offering, which was fine. I understand there are limits.

Trying to log into a government site today I had to verify my ID several times, what should have taken a few minutes became several hours, today was not unusual from experiences I have had. I recently moved and need to change my address however have not been able to log in to make those changes due to having a new address and phone number. I am also not able to access my medical records or the site that handles my prescriptions and appointments. As a disabled veteran I find this unacceptable.

The process of providing the information took less time then actually registering. The registration process was your standard everyday app sign up. Don't stress ID me, super easy!
The app kicked me out several times and I had to start all over,then the virtual app kept on sending me wrong information on how to log on.It took me 45 minutes to finally finish this process.
