I waited nearly an hour to talk with a human verifier only to discover that the person was not empowered to answer my IRS question. I contacted the support team and after a few days they were able to assist me and get me back in business. Now I have no troubles when I go to be verified.

My horrifying experience with ID.me and 1 star review is due to the lack of competence, expertise, and communication that I have dealt with for the past 2 months. It's unacceptable. I filed my troubleshooting ticket on September 18,2023. I answered the same questions over and over again. Over 20 emails back and forth. I never had the opportunity to escalate my ticket or speak to anyone until today, even though I requested it through email multiple times. I understand that I'm a nobody to you, complaining about customer service. However the indifference that I suffered affected my ability to apply for benefits while unemployed. I pray no one else suffers the way that I have.
