I had been trying to login into BSO for work related responsibilities for a week and was going in circles with the Login.Gov instructions and could not access help by phone. Once I tried ID.me I followed the instructions and had access within a few minutes and could access the BSO for my work tasks.
Everything was great and easy, great overall experience and was very helpful.
I first started using IDme at va.gov. By far the best sign on out of the total of 4 various authentication methods to get on. This past week I needed to access my social security statement as well as get a tax transcript from irs.gov and was able to pretty quickly authenticate/sign on using id.me.
Good the lady was very polite, she had a good positive attitude, and she asked good questions it was very understanding.
Lame Service, please don't use. Once you complete the confirmation you aren't led to where you want to go. If you try and go to the IRS website after completing the confirmation you are asked to immediately complete the "security verification" again? WTF? I was having fits because I just needed to find out some very basic information about my IRS account. Felt like I was in an infinite loop of Security Clearance to find out my own information.
Customer service is good, but they SAY they are trustworthy. That's like me telling a cop, "I'm me, you can believe me" when he asked for my license.
It was not intuitive by any stretch. It came out of the blue, having to sign up for it. I stumbled through it. And it still doesn't work:

You have to give up name, address, phone number, SS #, permission for them to look at your credit report basic info - name, address, etc. I have no idea if they looked at more of my info.
I know tax laws, but online registration - not so much. The agent go led me through the process on a video chat on my phone was cheerful, kind and patient. I have a white beard on my drivers license picture which is no longer there. We joked about how I looked younger now. The process was so easy with his help. Don't be afraid to go to the video chat - saves time and worry.
I can't log in and I worked on it for a few hours. Ever time I change my password and hit "sign in" it says incorrect password. Done it at least 15 times.
