I was very satisfied in general with the entire verification procedure. The US Department of Homeland security should contract with "ID.me" to process immigrants seeking asylum in order to take this burden off the shoulders of our border security guards, and to free up the guards to have more time to catch criminal illegal immigrants and deport them back to where they came from.

I wanted to access my Social Security info online. It offered 3 ways, including ID.Me. I had an old ID.Me id for the IRS when I manages a non-profit so I used that. The experience was dreadful. I had 12-15 email messages from ID.me, numerous text messages, and me entering numerous 6-digit codes. The closest I got to verifying myself to ID.Me was via a "Trusted Representative". I was able to see and hear him (Anthony G) using both my computer and my cell phone. Anthony could hear me but could not see me. After nearly 2 hours of frustration, I thanked Anthony and gave up.
It was not successful I tried to get information on how to get Mt return that was stolen from me and returned to the irs

I had not had an ID.ME account for over two years but know how important it is for a person to be able to verify they are whom they are. I just got ID.ME last evening and I already know how it will help me to verify myself in the coming days. ID.ME is extremely important and is something every citizen should have! Never ever give anyone your login info, as I learned the hard way, some years ago!
I logged into IDme 3 years ago, gave the personal information they required to set me up with an ID
From that day on all I have to do is select IDme on the VA site and I am logged in. Todate none of my personal data has been compromised
