First off I'm 70 and even though I know the basics of the online experience, some things like trying to sign in to the VA or to SSA are, in my opinion, just to much of a pain or they're a little to complicated. Show this, show that, sometimes its just a bit too much. I needed to sign in to the IRS website, but the process was complicated. I noticed that ID.me also offers a way to sign in to the SSA.gov website, so I applied for a login ID. You only need your original personal documents, such as your passport and Social Security Card. They have a list of documents that you can use to ID yourself. It was very easy to set up. Now, I can also use this ID with the state website.
I uploaded my documents they don't show on there. I talked to customer service they kept giving me the runaround and did not fix my problem. This site needs to be shut down.
