I am disabled since 2010 and never seen the Social Security papers of just my life from when I started paying taxes and or working until present I could see every dollar I made each year and it is a VERY SAFE, and Easy to use. Being a victim of identity theft too I hope all app did this! 5 stars!
The process is easy to follow, only the necessary steps to accomplish the work. This is APP is new to me, need a testing to prove that the effectiveness and safe continuing to use the APP or other comments.
This year Social Security didn't send my the needed Tax documents. When I visited their website to download them, they couldn't accept my password because it was too old, and in order to renew my password, they would contact me by email. Unfortunately Comcast had locked the associated email box, so that wouldn't work I couldn't call or visit them because of my deafness and immobility (I am very old!). I kept visiting the SSA website for a solution, when I noticed they accepted ID. Me as a way of logging on. I did a lot of research before I would do that, and when I visited the IRS website to get a tax filing extension, I saw ID me could be used for them too - I was sold! I now hav a downloaded SSA Documents and was also able to change my old email address, Thank you ID. Me.
I was setting up an account with Verizon and sent to this third party website with no explanation. I qualify for a discount for my phone bill and Verizon, nor this site explained the process or why we had to provide very personal information. After being approved (30 minutes of circling this site) by ID.me, the text said it would link back to Verizon so that I could claim the discount and Verizon had timed out or didn't link back up. A complete waste of time and now today, I will have to sit on hold for hours with Verizon to sort this out.
Id me is easy and fast to set an account up. The verification is not complicated to verify your identity. They answer any questions you have and make sure you're able to understand anything you need to know about. They secure your social security number so that you won't have to worry about anyone else using your identity except your self. I highly recommend.
I had a okay experience, I had some trouble getting my identity verification passed. The computer system couldn't accept my selfie picture, so I had to get the video then the male that was helping me was having trouble seeing my documents
It was a good once we figure out what was stopping the camera and volume. Another the screen was nice and clear. The representer made sure everything was good. He was consistently to get the besatq quality of the video call to be successful.
I needed to do this to access the IRS for some tax documents. I was worried it was going to be hard and take a while, but it was the complete opposite. It was very fast, very easy to do, and I got what I needed and finished what I needed to do with the IRS in minutes
I used ID.me to do some business with the IRS but the process was so fast and easy that now I'm assuming it was probably a Chinese or African scam and my identity will be stolen. The Federal government would never make anything this easy
I'm the spouse of veteran it's not easy for me to explain to him. What certificate I need to get the requirement. He had dementia but still his still I think he have first stage. Hopefully make it easy for dementia problem to access the ID me but anyway I got the form we need. Thank you very much for your service too.
I had never created an ID.me account when I received a letter from the IRS July 2023 stating my information had been accessed through their online services using an ID.me login. I suspect my information/biometric data was hijacked when roughly a month before I had done in-person verification for Homeland Security's KTN program- through a fourth party Staples location. Idemia is the parent company of ID.me and also verifies for the KTN. Over roughly 18 months I have never received a response from ID.me help.
Very difficult if you're a stroke survivor.I read qestion but trying to handle DL front and back dropped twice then license had a glare getting it ro come thru with no glare and too far away. Close enough or farther away...
My experience with ID me has been great because I've been able to log into all my state agencies as well as the federal government to update and do my taxes my financial aid. It's been amazing and I'm really happy that I only need to use one push of a button to log in.
I signed up for this service a year or so back then did not know how to use it so I did not use it for a long time. Now the VA wants us to use it. But I had a different phone number when I signed up for it and they make you do three checks one of which is using the phone number you signed up with. If you do not have access to that phone number you will never again be allowed to use your account because nothing on the website allows you to make any changes. If you call or write to them a machine responds saying they will get back to you at a later time or date. They NEVER do. I spent weeks trying to get ANYTHING done and I always got NOTHING back from them other than an email saying we will get back to you shortly. I guess shortly means never to machines.
I was advised to do this to prevent identity theft. But the first MFA code I was sent could not be entered. Then I was allowed to continue. At the end of taking the selfie, there was a message that the process did not work but I received a second MFA text that I entered and apparently the process went through. I have done this now, but wish I had not as my gut feeling is that this may be a scam. If I were you, I would avoid.
It was just simple to be walked thru the steps. Everything should be this way. Now adays, everything has to be so difficult or back and forth or add this, delete that etc.,etc. It was a simple challenge.
My personal information was stolen by someone who I know. They used me as a dependent on their tax refund like they were taking care of me wich is 100% false. I just wanna thank id.me for getting to the bottom of it. This situation really could have messed my life up but the situation was all handled quickly and professionally, I was impressed thank u all once again.
The employee that I was communicating with was extremely helpful and had an amazing attitude due to my phone flaws we worked around it and at the end of the day I love how she was so positive and so helpful
I've been a software developer for 30 years and still had problem after problem with the software over multiple attempts spanning months. This continued when I selected the video call option. Had it not been for finally managing an audio connection with a really helpful agent, who finally resorted to having me connect using Zoom on my phone, I would have given up yet again.
ID.me provides an efficient MFA chosen method of choice to suit your level of computer experience.
One should also remember to never ever divulge your personal information or log in credentials to anyone. You still have a responsibility to keep yourself secure.
