Title says it all, set it up a couple of years ago when SS admin said they were going to require this or yada,yada, yada. I've been getting a LOT of useless, and unwanted, advertisements from them between now and then. This time when I needed to log in to SS to get my payment info, etc for taxes, I had to "update" my info with a whole buncha stuff, picture of ID, Picture of me, etc. colossal pain in the $#*!, BUT ULTIMATELY IT WORKED, and I'm Glad...Unless I have to do it again.
It made me feel safe using the site and I was surprised of the ease of using it.

Having a 3rd party handling data for the IRS is STUPID. This account is the only way to access your IRS account. App used cell phone camera for license pictures fine, errored on selfie because camera did not sense movement.
