I have been using ID Me for years to access my Veteran's site as well as social security. I love the ease of access yet have the feeling of security.
While it can be a pain to verify logging in to some places, it's needed in today's society. ID.me is probably one of the more trusted verification systems and is a great checks and balance for both you and the places you log into.
Poor customer support. Took me a week of video calls to get verified. I had to start over multiple times. They have issues with deleting and uploading docs.

SADLY... ID.me ONLY offers to send the secure URL or link to complete the process via a text message (no email option, although they have youremail). Text message apps typically open links in your smartphone's default browser - which MAY NOT work. The absolute WORST user experience. I had to do the video, an examination of your face to compare to your photo ID, FIVE TIMES! This humanless process is frustrating and painful!@

The customer service team/department was superb hands 🙌 down. It took some time to actually navigate through and get a live rep but some of the hold up was me not being technologically savvy. Nevertheless when they got on the line they handled my experience swiftly. They knew how to handle everything with ease. I changed my number and couldn't get into the system. I had to delete my entire account and start all over again. They walked me through every step of the process with devotion. I thought that I was back on a good ole working party and liberty was right after. 😂 Great job and my confidence is through the roof. 🙏🏾💪🏾
ID.me is a better tool to use for verification then than Login.gov. There's too much other authentication required or suggested with login.gov!
Verified my documents then informed to log onto SSA. Gov to see if I could log onto my account. Need to verify SSA side of the house like I did with ID. Me.

Requirements from IRS is to have Adobe as I do. Requested EIN number but was unable to print IRS confirmation of number issued due to security concerns. Luckily I wrote the number down.

This was my first time signing in to ID.me to access the waiting line for live chat. I informed them that I am deaf, but the representative spoke to his supervisor instead of providing an ASL interpreter. I explained that, according to the ADA, ID.me should provide an ASL interpreter. However, he continued chatting with me by typing, which was acceptable. He is a great type to type with me so kindly. While it was disappointing that I didn't receive the interpreter, I appreciated that he was willing to communicate in writing. They should get an asl interpreter in the future.
