I swear to God I'm thinking about getting a class action lawsuit together against these scammers. They've convinced all of these government agencies to use their "service" that DOES NOT WORK AT ALL and now have our identities sitting on their servers with nothing in return.
I tried and tried and tried to sign up because I have to through Arizona UI. Even though it sends me all of the links to verify who I am through texts to my phone it gets to the end and blocks me by saying my phone number is Not Valid. How can it not be valid ID when you just sent me multiple texts you p. O. s.? I've tried this over 5 times on day 1. Then I tried their "speak face to face over camera" bs. Now, they ask you for even more information than the first time during the "easier process". Dead Ends over and over.
I have a good idea? Let's try signing up using another email. When I did this it only links me to ad after ad of the companies they are working with to provide coupons. It will not at all let me use a different email.
Annoyance level is a 11/10.
I gave up and went to a physical office so I wouldn't have to deal with these jokers. That AZ office gave me a print out of this same process because they aren't seeing anyone in person. I told them what a joke it was. So day 3 I'm now at it again. And again, the same joke it was the first time. Multiple dead ends. I even used a different phone number to send texts to. Also says not valid.
So Monday I will be going back to a physical office, if I have to break down doors so be it.
And no joke, this id.me joke of a company has made me mad enough to consider a class action lawsuit. Even if the lawyers take all the money hopefully this place will be out of business.

A phone is required to verify, and many homeless don't have one. What's more, when trying to verify, they say they're going to text you a link to take a selfie video, but the text never arrives, even after asking them to resend several times and waiting over an hour. In short, the service simply doesn't work and is denying vulnerable people crucial help. I can't believe that EDD is actually using this service. It's so bad that it's causing actual urgent harm to the homeless and working poor as we speak.

I used ID.me several times in the past and never had any problems. I used it again for CA EDD verification and it didn't verify on the first try. I have a Real ID, passport and birth certificate. My identity has been registered in a national database for decades. That means by default they automatically decline everybody no matter what proof you have. Even uploading a selfie didn't work. I had to do a video call like everybody else and it took 2 hours to link up

I have been waiting more than 5 weeks for someone to call me or tell me why that my birth certificate can't be used as identity. I have received no less than 3 emails concerning my situation. They're working diligently to resolve this issue. I cant claim my unemployment I'm locked out. I have experienced many hardships since this covid-19 scare. Most recent was my house being flooded by a hurricane in 10-2020. I try to be positive and keep my head up but my family is scattered out miles apart from each other. I had to sign over temp. Rights of my children cause I cant keep constant work. What can u do if ur birth certificate cant be used as verification. It plainly list it as an option. This process is time consuming and treats legit people feel like they are criminals. I was out of town and they wanted my original birth certificate. The copy i have says certified copy. I got all the way to my " interview" and they rejected my documents! Then i had to restart my time all over again.

Most unemployment agencies are "requireing" people to sign up using this id.me service giving them you drivers license, and all of your personal info just to collect unemployment? Why? Never had to before...? Also if you don't have a new (smart) phone and internet access or mobile data you will not be able to register and collect unemployment. If you don't register your account will be suspended. This website should be a violation to privacy. I'm so tired of technology to " better our lives but in actuality its just use to track us and steal information for advertisements". I don't trust this app or website and find the stay at home workers that answer the phones from the other end are not helpful or useful. The girl that answered the phone i couldn't understand her because her kids were screaming over her. If i could give this 0 stars i would like most here. Sadly nothing will be done and they will continue to steal our info and be able to track our every move.

Are these people stealing IDs from innocent veterans who are trying to get services? I've uploaded every possible ID available for me to choose and even tried to answer "security questions" and they can't verify me. I've lived at the same place for over 11 years. My review for I'd.me is, 1st of all, not user friendly, after they lure you to upload all your picture ids and your selfie, they stop responding or letting you know what's going on! This is my 4th or 5th try at verifying my identity for unemployment benefits. Still can't get verified. If this is what society is coming to, then I want no part of it.
I have had no problems verifying my identity doing a criminal background check every year for my job using the same documents ID me requests you to upload. What a bunch of BS. They don't reply to support emails, can't reach a real person (even though their website says 24/7 support). What a joke!
