Excellent. After numerous failed attempts to use login.gov for my SSA account, I tried ID.me and was done in 10 minutes. Login.gov gave me "try again later " 3 times, and " lost connection" twice over the course of 3 days.

You want to login, but wait. The ignorant company you want to interact with uses ID.me! Congratulations, now login will always be slow, require a second device, and make you feel like you live in a prison. Yay! It's also discriminatory against disabled people by requiring a mobile device. But they don't care. I told them this over a year ago, and they are indifferent to the needs of people with physical disabilities.
Needed a live person instead of computer generated response.Took days to actually get someone who could help me. Extremely difficult to use if you get your account suspended for some reason and the online options do not work. Company needs to have a phone number and someone live who can respond to customer issues.

With fraud rife with dark web characters sharing your personal information and local and international hackers stealing your assets - we are absolutely vulnerable to the unknown with little resources to solve it. I have been hacked a few times. I sleep better knowing that it is harder for the bad guy to get your information. ID.me shuts you out of your account if you mess up your password too many times. So! The bad guy stands no chance!

I had a few issues on the process but it was pretty straightforward. The agent was super and very patient. Her type of personality helps prevent a customer from getting flustered. I was shocked that I got through the process in a short time span. It's just a shame that all of us have to go through this again when this documentation was provided when I signed up (plus a lot of other documentation.). Hopefully, the SS Office will not lose anymore employees with all this ruckus with this new administration. They have done nothing but make everyone's life more difficult thanks to their incoherency of everything.
It feels like a total invasion of privacy. Makes me feel extremely vulnerable and not sure why our government is paying a company like this except to access and get our acceptance of giving up inherit rights

My experience was great. I had to go into the IRS website, even though they had an old telephone number. They were still able to verify my identity with the face recognition, which was awesome because they have your personal information on file.
