The ID. Me system needs to be made more easily to sign in. I'm 77 years young and it's frustrating to continue trying to sign in when after 3 attempts you are locked out of the system and have to wait x number of hours. Now we have the correct ID information when signing in why are we being punish trying to sign in.
I needed to get simple IP PIN from IRS. I try to go to IRS (unfortunately they don't provide parking space). So I sent request by mail. Waited two months-still waiting. Left with only one option-I try to apply for IP PIN online. BUT I didn't know, that before I will be honor to enter IRS-I have to be verify. And then my journey to the promise land started for many, many weeks of sorrow and trying to open closed gates of paradise.

My son is a disabled adult with autism. He's never had anything in his name. No bills and his medical is taken care of by Medicaid so no medical bills. His phone is free through the Free State program so he doesn't even have a phone bill. He has an ID a birth certificate and a social security card. But none of those along with the phone number that is directly linked to his name was enough to get him a video call to ID him and when we put forward three to four different messages asking for customer service to contact us via email we only got a AI response that did not answer any of our specific questions on how to go forward. One of them actually said if we had any more problems basically tough luck and go to the IRS and ask them what to do rather than deal with them. Other than this problem I think the security and whatnot is great
