I learned that there was an email on file that I did not recognized which was keeping me from getting verified… it seemed overwhelming and disturbing… but I took it one day at a time and kept good correspondence with IDme as they navigated me thru the process of what they needed and how to keep going… once my case was escalated and they were able to look at it… the process became easier and I was able to upload the necessary documents needed to get verified. Uploading the documents was a bit slow and challenging, but one by one, I was able to submit all that was required. Once reviewed, I was sent a link for a video call, where I was required to present the documentation I just submitted. I felt confident that my issue would be resolved and that I would be verified. The entire process including back and forth emails took about 3 days… sO don't give up… follow the lead of IDme and they will guide you thru a streamline process. I was told that all federal and state agencies will be using IDme so it's important to have your documents in order…

My experience with ID.me has mostly been seamless, except the AI video verification feature is clumsy and is easily baffled, or this would be 5 stars. I ran out of ID attempts so a human had to get involved. Once my issue was sent to the help desk, my ID was verified within the hour.
