I recently tried using Id.me to verify my identity. I was trying both options (upload pics using phone or video chat) but found that the video chat option (with an Id.me agent) worked much smoother and faster for me. The uploading and scanning of faces was taking longer and for some reason my upload was not accepted. But once I opted for the video chat option everything was taken care of within minutes and so I highly recommend using that option!

I had to submit documents... but let me tell you something this ID Me is the bees knees simply because I feel safe knowing I can rely and trust in keeping my own identity minus all these scammers and fraud running around impersonating folks and stealing their identities. I had to do this as a part of applying for a service and since my last name changed in the last 3 years, I though for sure this would take forever and I wouldn't get to speak to an actual person. Surprised me very much that I was able to do this over video with an actual person! Waited maybe 6 minutes to start the video conference with the agent and another 6 minutes to get me verified and my information on its way to the people who requested it.
