The app is designed with the user experience in mind, it walks you through every step needed to take, there were links to every additional info they needed, only thing that I would say I didn't understand is, I provided all my info for the app, and created a verified account for me after giving them secure info, like date of service, full social number, email, phone number, after providing the info, I went to Va.gov to enroll in direct deposit, but before I could do that, I had to then take pictures of my drivers license and veterans service member Id, followed by re-verify all my info again, social number, address, and a video call where I then showed them physically the documents I just submitted, I guess it's for security purposes but it wasn't an issue. Now I'm verified and can use this for easier verification in the future I'm assuming.

If you just follow the steps, it works fine. The video selfie may take an extra try if your lighting isn't right. It took me two tries for this because I was sitting in front of a window, so I got up and faced the window instead, then it worked. I think it has to be able to pick up the colors it flashes, which can be drowned out by too much light.
It takes a couple extra minutes, but I'm honestly glad there's a safeguard against just anyone trying to log in as someone else.

I have always had an ID.me acct. I needed to go online with the IRS to apply for a repayment plan, because it is much quicker than trying to get a representative on the phone. I started this process on yesterday 12/11/2022, and I could not get online with the IRS, because it was saying the information provided did not match the IRS records. Much to my dismay, I was not able to resolve my issue. Then on today 12/12/2022, Richard sent me a link to retry and access the IRS website. The link allowed me to update my contact info, and I spoke with Roy, who verified my documents via video chat. I was able to complete my request for a repayment plan with the IRS, and I couldn't be happier. I just want to thank the ID.me team for not giving up on me. Thank you for everything. I can sleep well tonight.
