We tried all options, i.e. Self serve, phone and finally the video chat. We couldn't successfully complete our ID verification until we chose the "video chat" option. Then all went very smoothly and quickly. I highly recommend this option

It was like a walk in the park, definitely not what you would expect dealing with Uncle Sam. The process was short and sweet. In the past having to experience first hand the verification process with IRS, or some would call it "the bed rock age", it was not easy or short. ID.ME has not only simplified the process, you guys have created a way for the IRS to confirm and verify vital information that needs to be confirmed and protected allowing the IRS to focus on getting returns completed.
