Proof of who I am. My identifications name date of birth and social I use for my personal resources. No copy of the conversation or record was given to me just my acknowledgement, those are kept in that field of office.
I used ID. Me for the first time to complete activation of my Military on-line discount with a major retailer. The process was painless. The prompts were clear and simple to follow. I completed the application process and received approval within ten minutes
The signing up process and following the steps was very easy. Not one problem at all. After receiving confirmation that I have been verified, it says I can not login to my account and need to contact customer support. Makes no sense and aggravating to say the least!
I was disappointed because it took too long for them to get bask after I explain why my account got suspended for some reason and what I was needing it verified for' and that it made me miss out on thousands of dollars my family desperately could have used
It's VERY annoying to do AT ALL, but even worse when it repeatedly doesn't work for unknown reasons. There are unclear instructions, and the feedback (suggested moving to a darker area when instructions said "well-lit area"). There is no interpretable preview image to determine correct lighting or correct angle. It says "live detection" but doesn't suggest whether one should move, stay still, blink, smile, or what? Very annoying overall.
Why does this survey imply that all that was needed was a sign-in when it actually insisted on a prolonged video capture?
Online registration didn't work, necessitating a call in confirmation process after three days and three hours of trying. So much for government efficiency under King Trump and his sidekick Moron Musk.
Since they don't specify which smart devices work with verification system, uploading did NOT work at first. No instructions or useful alerts or error messages are ever given, you're simply looking at a blank screen wondering what the problem is.
I spent over an hour doing something that would take less than a minute in person. It's completely unnecessary. I was able to update the information I wanted to last year, online, without having to go through this nonsense.
Website didn't work so I had to talk to some representative who could barely speak English. You want more characters for this review. Okay. It was the worst part of my Friday, it wasted a giant chunk of my workday, and the whole experience was like eating glass
AI is developing faster than it's creators can comprehend. Having all you medical, financial, banking and social services under one sign in group is a threat to your identify, lively hood, and security.
Be prepared for long wait times, a virtual agent that gets stuck in a logic loop, obtain multiple case files with unfulfilled promises of a call back and at te end read a statement about your problem being sent to the technical support for resolution.
I'm 72 years old, and my hands are a bit shaky. This made it very difficult to take acceptable (to the app) photos of my documentation. After getting through that ordeal, the app did not approve of my input and directed me to a manual review with an agent (nice young man) which involved 45 minutes of sitting before my monitor to avoid being removed from the queue. Yuck.
Experience was awful. You make the assumption that everybody grew up in a classroom with a laptop in their face. I was still using a manual typewriter in high school. The ID is not geared towards the elderly or the social security group and you makes assumptions that they can afford if a computer and or internet access and that everybody has internet access 100% of the time that they live in a big city and have all the comforts of everything that is reliable. So y'all keep on sitting there telling people that they need to be accepting of others that are not like you yet you vilify the elderly for being old-fashioned for being old for having values so no I don't like the ID me it's a third party person for one and two it's just playing too complicated.
After going through the whole multi-step process, I got an error message-"something went wrong". Implying I had to start all over again. I tried three separate means of finding out what to do next and was directed to a chatbot that could not understand the problem, a live help line that bit me on permanent standby and never responded back, and a message on the phone line saying they were so busy I should call back the next day. On the iRS website I never got past the first virtual question asked which served as a gatekeeper for getting g any further. This was a disaster!
My personal experience is good however I need to have access to my brother -in-law's government sites and I'm having trouble adding my name, phone and email to his accounts. The VA has appointed me his fiduciary and we are eventually getting power of attorney. We have POA for medical reasons. Can you get back to me and help with this situation?
If anything fails during the document verification step, you are left without any recourse. ID. Me offers no support contact of any kind -- no email, chat, or phone number. So wait, retry, and hope for the best.
I thought I had logged into SSA.gov and that the requirements to upload my driver's license and facial image were a new SSA requirement. It was not clear that this information would be stored by a third party.
Please try and correct address error when you only get one shot making contact with ID. Me and trying to reach ID. Me again on the phone line is none existent, try going through the day knowing that their is a mistake via the computer system W/IRS and absolutely nothing is important but that call again when you have that information, like saying if this is a life threatening emergency please hang -up and dial (911). Just lots and lots of systematic error.
Difficulty logging in constantly. Horrible security. I have an ID. Me for work and I was forced to use it for my personal dealing about something very not work related and it would not allow me to set up a personal account. I am expecting to get hacked because no company this bulky and inefficient can be effective. IF this is technology making my life easier, then we are screwed.
The process to collect documents for self identification, ultimately is thorough, but options are defined in a piecemeal way. Perhaps, a full list of all the types of ID documents pertinent to a person's circumstance, would be most efficient. (Regarding the time used to select appropriate choices in a 'if this - than that' manner of moving forward in the set up. But ultimately it seems thorough and expect it to be helpful for secure ID verification needs.
