Have been trying to verify status for months but always get a message that verification was done in another account associated with a different email account. No help on searching the account. Website isn't very helpful and email replies are from a robot which provides generic answers.

To me, it's very difficult to navigate through there website. Everything is buried in it. And every time I click on anything, I have to sign in again and wait for the system to send me a code. I hate it.

This is something I had to do, there wasn't any choice. Due to all the data breaches I had in 2024, I have no confidence I.D. Me will be any safer to use and/or my data will be breached again.
This stupid service requires me to take a selfie or a video to access my accounts. Since I have a PC and don't have a camera, I'm now locked out of my accounts. How stupid are these people? Avoid this service.

It began when ID.me’s CEO and founder Blake Hall, a decorated Army Ranger, watched a military veteran display their DD214 separation paperwork to a store employee to claim a military discount. The document held far more information than was needed to verify military service. Exposing so much personal information for a single benefit was risky and unnecessary. There had to be a better way.
We set out with the mission to make community verification easier and more secure. We began with the military community, but quickly grew to include students, teachers, nurses, first responders, and government employees.
