They sold a Steam key for a game that was not available in my country, even they made me fill in my residence country for the purchase.
And after 1 week of opening support tickets, I'm still waiting for a simple reply from them for my refund.
Avoid at all costs. It's just an automated site with barely anyone behind it to cover you in case something goes wrong.
Their system got a bug where you could choose 2 more games from the months you subscribed with classic plan. I was happy cause it seemed to me to be something that was like a "Thank you" for all the members that stayed on Classic plan, even tho we had some months where new accounts would get the choice games cheaper than us loyal customers.
Sadly it turned out to be a bug which they fixed. And not only that, but those who revealed their keys would get to keep them... those on the other hand who didnt reveal them lost them, me being one of them. To think that naively thought it was just a kind act...
Nice way to both fix your mistake and say "F. K you" to all your loyal customers in one go. I have been subscribed since 2017 and I am regretting it now.
I've used this site several times over the years and it has worked just fine! From the reviews it seems that if you have a problem the support isnt the best, but they do definitely offer games at good prices!
Wont let me access my account and paid for games, as they refuse to send browser verification email to me, instead they ban me from support so they can continue robbing others and forget about me as they already stolen from me
Currently a 24 hour delay for a pre order even though the game is already out
Takes up to five days for a refund
Can't get the pre order anymore
So either have to wait until they give out keys or just buy a normal copy
As of February 2022, if you pull up nearly any new game on Humble's website it will list a discount price for Humble Choice Members. For example, see the attached image from Elden Ring Deluxe Edition where it says "Save an Additional $16 with Humble Choice". Sounds like a great deal right? No Astrix or stipulations listed anywhere on the site, you just need to be a Humble Choice member. Well, I signed up for a membership only to find that this price is only available for people who have been a member for 12 months, and new members only get 5% off. I contacted Humble, and 4 days later they got back to me telling me that there's nothing they can do to help me. Meanwhile, the pricing is still listed incorrectly. Readding through threads on Reddit, it seems that Humble pulling dishonest bait and switch tactics is nothing new, definitely stay away.
Don't use them. Paused my subscription but then money came out. I contacted them and told them I was unhappy that money came out when I'd paused my account.
Despite providing screenshots showing I paused my account, they bluntly refused to do anything because their system didnt show a pause.
They often didn't read my response and sent useless information about how its my responsibility to pause the subscription.
I've cancelled my subscription which I've had for years.
DO NOT USE THEM.
Bought product for myself, then bought same product as a gift. That second order is canceled because multiple orders of the same digital product are not possible, but it is charged! "Your money is reserved by the bank" - but never got money back from the bank.
In first place they should not give an option for a second purchase of the same product if that is not possible.
Plus terrible support. Helping me with closing my ticket, lol. Screenshot: prntscr.com/rzxzmd
I've bought a lot of great stuff from here at a really affordable price. You can usually get 5-10 games for about 6.5$. A lot of them are quality games with price tags a lot higher than the sum you pay for the whole bunch.
Highly recommended especially for students and families who look to try something new, save money and get more for their money. It is also a good idea to use metacritic or similar site to check what kind of reviews the games have gotten and see if they are something you might enjoy.
If only HumbleBundle had existed when i was a kid...
I've been using Humble for a few years now. I was sick for a long time and was given a Humble Monthly subscription to help with being stuck at home. Every month, for 12 dollars, I was getting a bunch of games. I might only enjoy 2-3 of them, but that's still great value for games that would normally cost a lot more.
I am still getting the Humble Choice classic sub now. 12 games for 12 dollars every month. I pause more often now because I have a lot of games in my Steam library that haven't been played yet.
Oh and a percentage goes to a charity every month. =)
They have some good deals in their store during the sales as well, and I've often bought a key from Humble, that was cheaper than the Steam sale.
Since I've been using their site for a long time, I have ran into issues with keys on more than one occasion. I've found their customer support to be very nice and helpful, and issues have been resolved within a day or two. I honestly have nothing but praise for their support team.
Due warning: If you're a subscriber, (or buy a charity bundle) don't trade your gift links on grey market sites. Because the games are sold cheaply in aid of charity, their subscriber agreement states that they must be activated on your account or gifted to a friend. They have banned some accounts that were caught selling on the grey market or trading to resellers. Just something to be aware of.
After HB was purchased by IGN some time ago, HB support became really awful. Blaming a customer for reselling, trading or being a scammer in a common thing today for support members, but not helping customers. Early this bundle site was one of the best, now it's another greedy key shop.
I have never actually bought anything from this site but let me tell you... The customer service is amazing! You may ask "If she hasn't bought anything, how can she know if the customer service is amazing?!?" Well, it all began when some jerk stole my debit card information. They then proceeded to purchase $240 worth of merchandise from humblebundle. Which is ALOT of money for a poor college student! The site showed up on my bank statement and I was infuriated! So I emailed them because they had not phone number to call and someone promptly responded on the next business day. I let them know that my card information had been stolen and used to purchase something from their site. Within 3 days (with emails promptly responded to) they informed me that it did look like fraudulent activity and promptly refunded money to me. I was so relieved! Thank you so much humble bundle!
Honestly this is the best site for finding games for the cheap. Their bundles are amazing. I might only want one game in the bundle but at the price, the game is already cheap and i get other similar free games. If i really want a game and had to buy now, i always check humblebundle stores before steam. They usually have some kind of discount at that moment.
Ok so I purchase a game from this site, asked for help from tech support, did not receive a response till three or so days later and when I did receive a response it was an automated one or a form response, that only requires you to fill the blanks and personalize the letter. Nonetheless I am unhappy, have not had my issue resolved, the site and it's partner site "Steam," continue to fail on delivery of a paid purchase in which. I'd simply like a refund and be on my way. Still it comes down to this discourse, "It appears that all of our support ninjas are still busy fighting bad guys. We are working as hard as we can to get to your request. Hang tight and you should receive a reply soon."
Seriously!? We've gone down this path already and i'm frustrated with your turn of service... issue an acknowledgement of refund and turn over the funds. Stop sending me this form letter that continues to tell me, "Wait." I would like my money back, please do so, period.
Sounded like an okay deal. I signed up for monthly with my paypal account. It wanted to send me an sms message to confirm, but I don't have a cell phone. I posted to the support thing to see if they could do some work around like calling me and giving me the confirmation code. No response. The site automatically cancelled my order after 24 hours. No response offered by support.
Might be okay, if you have a cell phone. And don't ever expect support questions to actually be responded to.
So hopefully your looking at reviews before you buy from them unlike me do not and i repeat DO NOT buy from this garbage site it is a waste of time and a waste of money they have you spend your money then force you to wait ti get your game to "review your purchase" and then your sitting there waiting for your purchase to go through there $#*!ty system and then you have there horrible support just dont even try to contact them its a waste of time
Where do I begin. Just like everyone else review... they really only care about money. None of their systems actually work properly. I have been subscribed now over 3 years to the bundle and once they changed the structure of the bundle it all went to hell. Ex. Of it going to hell: repeat games from old bundles(when humble bundle wasnt a rip off)... so you gave us the game to automatically gift to someone? Multiplayer only games that are 5 years plus old and the community is completely dead. My final straw, and why I am reporting, was I wanted to cancel my subscription after all this to find out I would be FORCED to be subbed still till my entire subscription runs out (a year subscription) and lose ALL my perks for being a subscriber. Another piece of info that I would like to share from observing them over the last 3 years... They will put a 80 dollar game into a bundle about exactly 3 months after it has gone on an 85% sale on steam. I started noticing this after the first 6 bundles, by the time I got through a year or so of bundles I noticed this was their normal... Now it is even worse, they are putting absolutly trash games in they bought at 2 dollars and claiming them to be 19.99 dollar games to up their game value. They are a disgusting company.
Bad experience after buying from them for years. They set limits on how many bundles or of each game you can buy, which was never a problem. Then recently they start blocking my cards, including bank card from being able to purchase. Ok fine, so keep buying with Paypal which they didn't seem to have a problem with, so still keep buying up to their buying limits. Then more trouble starts, now I have to verify my phone number through a text message, ok, now need to wait a few hours for every purchase to either get approved or get cancelled, a few get approved and a few don't, guess it depends on what mood they are on. I have even been on their monthly membership for over a year. Contact support, get accused of not using keys for personal use, wow, ok. Um, got 6 computers at home and deal with many more computers besides the 6 at home. I am buying at their limits, and somehow I'm breaking their TOS. I am paying them with money, for purchasing on their site. I am making purchases for a few years now. I am buying, paying, not scamming them, for a long time. I Pay for the items, I DO NOT STEAL THEM, I pay. Never gave them any problems, never even contacted their customer service until this happened. Guess I will have to buy from other places, and not bother with them at all, or at very minimum, might even just cancel the monthly subscriptions now, not like they are the only place to buy games and stuff from. Very disappointed at their service, and even when you do buy their game keys and stuff, it's really none of their business what you do with them, customers are paying.
This is the place if you want to buy your favorite games with major discounts. Their bundles might now always be as good as you'd expect, but they're well worth the cost.
I bought my first bundle 9-19-22 days later when I try to get all 3 of the codes for Lego Starwars games it says they ran out of codes? It says they will add codes asap but more than 3 weeks later they still haven't added any and I'm not the only one there's others who been trying to get their codes for the same bundles same games and this is rediculous, these are code we paid money for and own they can't just turn around and sell them when we legaly own them! I've been re-checking for the codes daily too. Then if you try to contact them they have a notice that it's going to take more than 10 days to get to your email. Like they don't even want to try and help you and there's no number for you to call and they ask for a purchase number for you to submit but there's none on their purchase page? I'm already loosing hope to even getting my codes or a refund or even for an exchage to a different game code if my Lego games is not available. Oh yeah but if you search for each of the same games in their site you can still purchase it without any warning that they are out of keys even if you add them each game to your cart to purchase them for full regular price. Yeah but they claim there's no codes left? Scammers! Stay away from this site. I even try to contac them on their FB and they don't let you make a post also. I mentioned it on their other FB post and no coment from them. A good way to avoid someone from revealing them! Oh well time for a Paypal claim! It's sad because they claim this is all for charity? Sure to help themselves!
HumbleBundle has a rating of 1.9 stars from 32 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with HumbleBundle most frequently mention and customer service. HumbleBundle ranks 26th among Trading Cards sites.
