Almost every day, There is something wrong with Hulu. Upon my 7 months investigation into why, I found the servers they have are rented thu 5th, 5th! Party, way overseas, and nothing has the power to serve all customers they took at once. Therefore if u are on but were not on before many people were, Youll have terrible crap slow or no service. Thats normally the service I get. This is disgusting.! These people should be looking at legal Prosecution for the disgusting way they take on customers but cannot handle. Its disgusting! Disgusting! Disgusting! Disgusting!
Hulu really scammed me. Signed up for 7 a day free trial I saw on Facebook on 1/28/23. Our internet was not strong enough to stream content so I cancelled on 2/2/23, so I only had coverage 5 days. They charged me 68 dollars. They said I didn't sign up for the 7 day free trial. You can't argue with them so I am sending my complaint to NC Justice Department with a scam alert.
I have had Netflix for year's. I've never had a billing issue with them. Ever. I recently decided to switch from Netflix to Hulu. They advertise 2 free weeks, however when you get on the site, it's ONE WEEK. At least Netflix gave us a MONTH FREE & still do. However, I still think Hulu is a better deal. When I tried to sign-up, i was denied because their system doesn't recognize my Zip Code! I live in a very small town that unfortunately has 4 different zip codes. No matter what card I use, it won't work. Their IT couldn't even figure it out. But, it explains why 1/3 of my City can't have Hulu. Guess we will stay with Netflix, who have no problem with my Zip Code. Sorry Hulu, I tried.
Started Hulu again just for Handmaids tale. First night 3 episodes are available. Good. Had to wait a week for one more lousy episode. Now it's one a week for 8 more weeks. That's the whole stinkin summer. Horrible, I paused it for 2 months and will catch up on Handmaids tale in August and then will never HULU again.

I should not be forced to watch your commercials. I don't agree with how you have commercials that are so private and embarrassing. I don't AGRee! Get rid of them! It is wrong on so many levels. The ones about condoms are unacceptable as well. Private matters should be kept private. Men kissing men is just wrong!
I've always liked the variety of Hulu but lately it's been lacking. Now it's arguably the worst streaming service available. On the roku the main menu is clunky and makes it very hard to find things, already watched episodes will play the last 2 minutes and then go on to the ending of the next episode, and that's only sometimes. The other times, Hulu will play a random show after watching one episode of what I wanted to watch. Then I'm watching shows that I've never seen, never added to a playlist or they aren't even like other shows I've watched. The app will play shows but I have to spend 5 minutes navigating back to the main page of the show I was watching just to watch the next episode. The horrible interface ruin everything else about this app. It's actually an inconvenience to use
Its a total mess new roku update for hulu is horrific and unusable. I am a longtime 15 year subscriber and I am cancelling. I called and had to wait 30 minutes to talk to someone. I explained my compliant in detail. I was given 1 free month. I told them if they don't fix this update and make hulu work as before I AM CANCELLING. I don't expect them to do anything to fix this mess as I think they think it awesome!, Well I don't its unusable for me. SO 30 days free then I am gone! I encourage everyone to get 30 days free then cancel. Maybe after they lose a few billion they will get the message!
I like that you can watch current shows without having to pay because it's paid entirely of commercials.
The only thing I don't like is that sometimes it is outdated. That and Hulu Premium isn't really a deal to me... Which is why I gave it a 3/4.
I have had Hulu Live for the past two years. Everything was fine, but I started noticing streaming problems in September 2019. I called Hulu several times and they always gave me a different answer. My internet connection was fine and I would have to go watch the football games at my friends house because it was constantly buffering or kicking me off the app. Last week I called a Hulu representative and asked him/her if he/she received a raise with the $10.00 price increase. The representative told me they did not receive a raise. I asked the representative if there were going to be any improvements with the streaming or add more channels. The representative couldn't give me an answer. I canceled my subscription. I now have YouTube TV, it's way better and I don't have any streaming problems. Wish I had Youtube Tv during the football season. Until Hulu gets there s*** together I will be sticking with YouTube Tv.
I was charged a day early for my service which created a nightmare with my bank account since I was in the process of closing it. I was charged a fee from my bank who would not return the fee because my account had been closed right after Hulu charged me a day early. I was literally cancelling my subscription when I was charged. They returned the fee but did not do anything about me incurring an extra $25 fee due to their mistake. Be warned! The fee is not always for a full month and you can't trust them to have your account page correct. Their excuse was about time zones but no where on their site do they say anything about which time zone they use.
I have had Hulu for many years. I started out with their free PC service but when I started paying for it to use on other devices that's when the issues started. I get connections errors, loading errors or its just not working all the time and when you call into have them fixed they blame it on you or the device you are using when it is very clearly an issue with their service. If you enjoy throwing money away, go ahead and get Hulu but if you value your money and your sanity just use Netflix or some other streaming service.
We wanted to watch a Sunday afternoon Red Bull sponsored skydiving stunt. We were never able to get beyond the trailer teasers. No instructions on buttons or arrows to click. This led us to evaluate our Hulu usage. We discovered it was not a major influence on our viewing habits. Goodbye Hulu Not a good choice for viewing pleasure.
I pay so I don't have to suffer thru commercials when I watch now their plan is pay even more if you want no commercials... Their content is not that unique so they are being cancelled I'll stick with Netflix.
We have had Hulu for over a year now and are starting to think of letting it go. There are 3 main reasons for this which seems pretty blatantly obvious as a consumer, sports fan & a parent.
1. We pay for NO commercials but are stuck watching them anyway - not sure why this is okay.
2. The commercials that Hulu allows to be shown during kids shows are inappropriate for kids. Shooting, killing, blood & other drama shown during a PG film should NOT be allowed.
3. I am a Sports fan but I don't always have the time to watch the games LIVE. The commercials during the replay of the games constantly shows the final score of that game and others that I want to watch. This started with World Cup Soccer and has carried over to other sports (NCAA Football, etc...). How is this okay? Not smart Hulu!
I would not recommend Hulu in it's current form!
Man, what's up with those commercials all the time?! It's unbearable! Had all the best intentions to stick with them but I gave up after watching 2 episodes of Scandal where i waisted most of my time on watching something i don't give an F about! You could do better, Hulu!
Tried all the refresh advice, and no improvement. You get loads of adverts (with no pauses) and your chosen content can't progress 45 seconds without buffering for 3 minutes. Totally unwatchable... and you have to pay for it!
Always buffering! In the middle of every movie a dozen times til I finally turn the $#*! off. If netflix can stream at the same cost without buffering more time than the movie plays then you shouldn't be a entertainment service. Waste of money. Thanks you Hulu $#*!s
So today I renewed my HULU live account. Last month wife and I cancelled a showtime addition after trying the free time and then a month after that realizing it doesnt have enough different movies to keep. So I went in changed in my manage account and removed. Well yesterday I noticed a charge of 61.98. Should be 50.99. I contacted them today. And to issue me credit get this. They have to cancel my entire account refund the 61.98 and then I have to rejoin immediately and they will charge me again 50.99. The customer service person was nice and even though i told her 3 months ago we decided to cancel live tv as it was really streaming badly. We we were issued a credit immediately for that without renewing our account. I pointed this out to her and she said this was company policy. So I would be charged twice a credit to my card but I wont see that for 7 days. I told her you really want to have me burn your company down on review sites over 10.99 she said that was company policy.
Of all the pay to watch services hulu is the worst. Why would you pay for a service that then makes you watch commercial after commercial. Literally every few minutes you have to watch the same commercials over and over. Do yourself a favor stick with Netflix or Amazon Prime where you don't have to deal with stuff like that.
Ok, is anyone else having a problem with recording on Hulu Live? It provides 50 hours of recording in their monthly fee. I have used it, sometimes to about 25 of the 50 hours; however, when I catch it up, and there is actually nothing recorded, it says I have fewer hours remaining. It started out with deleting 2 hours of recording time; now it is up to 6 hours of recording time that is now unavailable. I phoned, and they said they have recognized this problem and are working on it. But this has gone one now for over three months; you would think they would have solved this problem by now. Is anyone else out there experiencing this problem?

Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.

All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
