Variety, quality and ease of ordering.
The chairs were perfect as accent dining, end table chairs!
DO NOT ORDER FROM HOUZZ UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN YOU WANT THAT PRODUCT... THEY WILL FORCE YOU TO PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING
Spend over 10k advertising on houZZ. WHAT A JOKE? They treat their PROS with the same disrepect as you see in all the reviews below
This is a very good website so I advise my friends to use
And itis very easy to use
Iwish my comment usrful
The overall quality is great. Was easy to install by contractor. Delivery was a week.
The color of the light looks like unfinished wood rather than an antique white look.
Haven't taken them out of the boxes yet - looking forward to putting them up. Thanks!
So, here is what's up.
I ordered 2 bar stools a month ago at this point. I kept following up on my orders and through the fedex link to checkup on the status of my order on the daily.
Things got weird when I get an email from Houzz to rate my product... that I had not yet received? Then I check on my order on Houzz website and it says delivered which is funny cause it had NOT been received. I checkup on the fedex tracking link and there is no update at all so at this point I am confused. I finally am able to get in contact with a Houzz customer service rep who says that the product should be delivered the following day, so I'm happy and excited. The next day comes, and you guessed it... no delivery. I followup on the fedex tracking link and then it says delivered in New Jersey. The problem is that I live in CANADA. At this point I'm frustrated especially cause Houzz does not make it easy to get in contact with any reps, so I am literally left in the dark. After I had to go through a lot of different avenues of contact, I finally get an email from Houzz trying to clarify that the delivered status under fedex just means it reached its final destination in the states before being shipped to Canada and that it should be shipped to me shortly. I take it upon myself to contact fedex cause there has been no status update since May 5th and it is May 17th at this point. Fedex tells me that they're waiting on pieces from Houzz before they can ship it to me. Y'all I am frustrated at this point for the whirl around that I have been given, for the lack of follow through and clarification. I immediately call Houzz (which I had to wait an hour and a half to finally speak to a rep) and poor girl bless her soul had no idea how to help me. I tell her I want to just cancel the order entirely at this point and get a refund cause this is unfair treatment towards me and she informs that she can't do it but the case manager has to. I ask for contact information for this case manager and just for icing on the cake, there's no direct way to speak to this person so she has to leave a note on my file for the person to see to call me from there. So more waiting on my part with no way of knowing when I'll get contacted.
I genuinely cannot even begin to describe my frustration with this process and the fact that I still do not have my stools. Its wild cause I really wanted to give this site a chance over Wayfair and I regret it because I would've had my stools from Mayfair within a week and even if I hadn't, communication with them would've been sooooo much easier than with Houzz.
I'm just hoping that someone will contact me THIS WEEK and something can get sorted cause I am exhausted now.
We are sorry to hear about this and the frustrations it has caused. Our team has responded directly to your support request.
The item arrived a week before expected and the heavy box was intact without damage.
Fast and easy to use website. Item was shipped and received in a short time.
I have never felt compelled to write a bad review for any company, however my experience was so infuriating and shocking I feel the need to warn others and possibly save them from this experience. This is the first time I purchased from HOUZZ and I will never purchase anything from them again. I spent more than $1,700 for a 72 inch vanity and paid for the "room of choice" delivery. WHAT A SCAM. The delivery company came to my front door, argued with me that it was just curb drop. After calling their supervisor they confirmed that it was in fact a "room of choice" delivery. Then the delivery men argue with me that they can't bring the vanity to my room of choice on the second floor because its too heavy and its only two of them there. I asked why offer service that you can't provide? His response, I paid HOUZZ for the service and they are just subcontractors. After about 25 minutes of discussion back and forth about how heavy it is the vanity was left in my entrance way. I made several calls to HOUZZ and the delivery company but was just placed in voice mail. I finally spoke to a HOUZZ customer service rep who said she would send the "correct department" an email explaining what has happened and said that I would get a call back. I never did. I then opened up the box to find the marble back splash broken into 4 pieces and the counter top cracked in 4 places with the back of the vanity split in 2 places. I took 15 photos of the damage and sent an email that same day to HOUZZ asking for a call. Waited. Waited. Waited. Nothing. I waited 2 days, and then I called customer service and was transfer 3 times and then dumped into voice mail. The only way I was able to speak to someone was to choose the automated option of "making a purchase" - - HOUZZ takes your money a lot easier than it addresses their horrible service. I was never able to speak to a manager. Nor would the customer service rep ever tell me the name of any manager. I finally was transferred to Allison a "supervisor" who offered NO satisfactory resolution. NOT even an acknowledgement of the terrible service. So I have a vanity in pieces in my entrance way, I have to wait for a carrier to come an pick it up and then only then will I get my refund.
The irony, the came vanity was on sale with Wayfair for $200 cheaper but I purchased it through HOUZZ because they said they could get it delivered quicker.
I wrote a review on a contractor that took our money, caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home and kept us strung-a-long for almost 8 months. At that time, we had to hire another contactor to repair and finish the former contractors' work. It cost us almost our entire savings. It was a horrible experience. And, we are still trying to recover.
Well, in order to help others' to not go through the same ordeal, my husband and I posted reviews on several web-sites. The contractor continues to try to have it removed. Well, for the most part, he has been unsuccessful but not on HOUZZ! Houzz was quick to remove my review. By doing this(and by possibly removing my husbands'), it gives this contractor a perfect review. WHAT? Now, how is HOUZZ able to explain that to the next family that loses their "savings"?
I am providing the review to let everyone know what HOUZZ pulled:
Please do your due diligence when hiring this company. My husband and I hired GCH Construction Group, represented by Josh V. back in April 2019, to make attic space into a media room. Josh V., the owner and operator of GCH Construction Group, stated that the total job would take around 3 weeks. Well, by August, they were nowhere near done and rarely were even making an appearance. In fact, Josh V. disappeared all-together.
When he returned, a month later, we gave him the opportunity to complete the work. Afterall, GCH Construction Group (Josh V.) was already paid. Well, that proved to be yet another mistake. Their work was so sub-par that we had to hire another contractor to repair and finish our room. GCH Construction Group damaged our AC, left "hot" wires on the ceiling of the room, tore-up the duct work, ran copper tubing along the roof, made several of the walls uneven, used the wrong paint colors, ruined the new stairs, did textured walls (although the contract said level 5), mis-measured so the room was VERY uneven, and so many more costly mistakes.
It is now March, and we are still suffering from the turmoil that GCH Construction Group, represented by Josh V., inflicted on our lives. Thanks to his (their) incompetence, we have wiped out our savings and are trying to recover. Don't put yourself in our situation. When in doubt, please, do your due diligence. The information is out there, just do a little digging to make an informed decision.
All good, except I didn't expect a Canvas material. Thought material would be nicer.
I like shopping for unique items for my home Houzz has an impressive collection
Easy to use and find what you're looking for.
Ordered this sink for our new build. Looks good. Can't wait to install it and put it to the test
I love shopping on this sight as all the specifications and reviews spot on.
Have you dealt with a mortgage before? If the answer is yes, then you fully understand just how stressful the mortgage process is. Continue reading this article and you can find the present mortgage market.
Get pre-approval so you can figure out what your payments will cost you. Comparison shop to get an idea of your eligibility amount in order to figure out what you can afford. Once you have you decided on the amount of monthly payments, it will be easy to figure out your monthly payment.
Prior to applying for a mortgage, try checking into your own credit report to make sure everything is correct. The past year has seen a tightening of restrictions on lending, so improve your credit rating so that you have the best chance to get qualified for the best loan products.
You have to have a long term work history to be granted a mortgage. A majority of lenders need at least 2 steady years of solid work history in order to approve a mortgage loan. Switching jobs often may cause your loan being denied. You never quit your job during the loan application process.
Your application can be rejected because of any changes to your finances. Make sure your job is secure when you have stable employment before applying for your mortgage.
Make sure you find out if a property has decreased in value before trying to apply for another mortgage. Even if your home is well-maintained, the bank might determine the value of your home in function of the real estate market, and that may hurt getting approved for the mortgage.
Make sure that you collect all your financial paperwork on hand before meeting with a home lender. The lender is going to need income proof, banking statements, and every other financial asset you have in document form. Being organized and having paperwork ready will speed up the application process.
Make extra monthly payments whenever possible. Additional payments will be applied to the principal of your loan.
Do not let a denial keep you from searching for a mortgage. One lender does not doom your prospects. Keep shopping and looking for more options. You might find a co-signer can help you get the mortgage.
The interest rate will end up spending on your mortgage payments. Know about the rates and how increases or decreases affect your monthly payment. You might end up spending more than you can afford if you don't pay attention.
Balloon mortgages are among the easiest loans to get approved. This loan has a shorter term, and you have to get the amount owed refinanced when the loan has expired. This is risky due to possible increases in rates can change or your financial health.
Before buying a house, it is important to understand what you need to know to secure a mortgage. You can't waste your time searching one out or dealing with a bad mortgage. Instead, you want a mortgage that is going to fit your budget, and you want a company that is going to take care of you.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
Houzz has a rating of 2.1 stars from 1,658 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Houzz most frequently mention customer service, credit card and delivery date. Houzz ranks 46th among Furniture sites.
