I've been with hostgator for a long time and it is the best hosting service provider ever
I have contacted support several times about the issues with my website telling me that it is unsafe, error messages and the website just showing writing and no images. After over 2 months it still continues to do this. I can not even get logged in to do any editing now. I also have the issue saying my website is not https and that was supposedly fixed 2 months ago. I can not get any customers on my site as long as these issues remain!

Overall, the experience is good as a Windows Hosting package, but there are items missing such as the ability to access my MSSQL database via Plesk. This is forcing me now to obtain hosting from another provider (SMARTERASP.NET) as they do provide this feature. I had contacted Hostgator about this, but got no result.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
