24/7/365 AMERICAN support. Nothing against other nationalities but I really don't want to speak to India or Mexico. I'm not tech educated and there's nothing more frustrating than trying to receive tech support from someone who speaks broken English, thick accents and doesn't understand why I'm so irritated because I keep having to say, "What? What? What? I can't understand you. Your support has ALWAYS been English speaking AMERICANS. If this ever changes due to a company buyout or shipping customer support to another country I have no problem transferring my domains and hosting to another company other than HostGator. I have been EXTREMELY happy with HostGator even though I have dormant domains with ongoing hosting that I haven't used in YEARS because I really appreciate the support I receive when I periodically fiddle with my domains. I have been helping a friend get their LLC company up and running and just recently helped them to purchase a domain and 3 year hosting package from HostGator because I value HostGator as an AMERICAN based company with EXCELLENT support. I didn't have any expectation of reward for myself for the referral, only that my friend receive the best domain and hosting experience as not everyone is tech savvy. I trust and hope that they experience the same excellent service I have over the years and we both look forward to a long partnership with HostGator to service our domain and hosting needs.

Email Delivery Error 451 bounceback directly back to the sender's Outllook or Thunderbird has been tormenting my Reseller customers. Countless hours of troubleshooting since last year and the best advice I got is to get a VPS (or die with it). You know this errors, it's a problem with all of your shared infrastructure in peak times around 10am CST. And I keep loosing clients, time and money for years. I'm 10+ years a client, referred many clients who spent thousands on dedicated servers and so on. You need to rethink reseller packages. Also, the customer service is more about service than solutions. Pardon me but I rather be treated just about fair and get things done instead of being "serviced" with callcenter scripts by agents that have to get into a second chat with real admins.
I have been using hostgator for more than 10 years and you are very important to me since you are the source of income, the bread that I put on my table every day. Hostgator is my source of income and well-being, thanks for your great service and dedication. I am a website designer and I learned everything I know from you. I previously was rebilled after receiving a refund from HostGator for services I never used and had canceled. The agent that I spoke to to receive the original refund even confirmed that I had cancelled, but the next month I was rebilled for the service. Since I don't monitor that acct very often, it wasn't caught for over 6 months. Extremely disappointed

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
