This is cheating company.
If you want to put your ad in Homestars be carefull. Initially, They charge your money without any agreement. After that if you ask question about agreement they put your
Signature on the agreement without your permission and lie you that you put signature yourself. You even do not know the terms of the contract.
Their contract is for the whole year only and without your right to cancel it.
They will charge money without your permission.
Stay away from this cheaters.
More over, they do not give you any leads. They do not put 5 stars reviews from your clients.

Yes, they are cheater, they told me before I sign the contract I can cancel my account AT ANYTIME I WANT, and I trust them, I sign and now they told me it's 12 months contract. I am not getting leads from them and my reviews doesn't published.

As a business owner I am very dissatisfied with HomeStars. To any other small business owners looking to use HomeStars. Please note that this is NOT a month-to-month service.
They are locking you into a 12-month minimum contract that you can't get out of. The only think i could do is blocking my credit card to avoid wasting my money to this company.

Hi my name is Mesmer I got an addition put on my house by Classic View Home Renovation, they did a good job. They were clean and on time. My wife and I, we're very lucky to work with Omri. He is very friendly and they completed the project on time. The work was done on a budget that was agreed on. He never would ask us for extra money. I highly recommend Omri and is team to anyone looking to hire a contractor and the team classic view. Thank you

Tried to list positive feedback for a contractor who did a roof for us three times with no luck. The contractor called me twice begging to verify to Homestars with all details. Never received any notification form Homestars for this verification. I was told by the contractor that since he stopped paying Homestars the monthly fee all positive feedback were removed from first page "for verification purposes". Homestars is affecting contractors who don't pay. What a scam.

Joe V and Jacob S performed well in the removal of the old and installation of a new furnace in my home. After installation clean up was good. However, I was totally displeased, and grossly displeased with them for neglecting to restore the gas supply to both my water heater and fireplace. The hot water issue was resolved with the assistance of an independent technician as Reliance seemed, through their customer service area, not to to give a damn about us being without hot water. The fireplace was not much of an issue as it is not yet that time of year when it becomes a priority.

The one good thing in this whole mess is that when Joe V realized that they had left my home without having restored hot water and the fireplace, he called on Saturday last and advised that he would would return to my home early in the week to re-light the fireplace. He did keep his word and turned up at my home today.

I have had my water heater and furnace replaced by Reliance within a month of each other, and had issues with problems created by their technicians on both occasions.

My air conditioning unit which was purchased from Reliance less than a year ago is now showing signs of loosing its coolant. It is scheduled to be repaired Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30.

While the technicians who work for Reliance appear to be well versed in their respective trades, it appears that they need further training to ensure that their work areas are left in such a state that would negate the need for complaints.

Homestars used to be a consumer advocate website generated by consumers.
It is now driven by profits derived from a new feature where contractors can pay a $150/month to Homestars for premium placement and an extra $30 per month to have Homestars contact a contractor's clients incentivizing the clients to write testimonials.
This website used to be free for all contractors, contractors were honestly listed by the number and quality of testimonials consumers provided.
Everything is changed now, it's all about the money. Too bad for homeowners you're still on your own to find an honest, quality contractor.
It's understandable that Homestars would want to make a profit but there are better ways than financially pitting, one contractor against another. From my experience the most financially successful contractors are those who provide the worst service at the highest cost.

Homestars is a website that allows consumers to post reviews of businesses, unfortunately due to lack of control over the validity of these reviews it allows business to bait unsuspecting innocent customers with the illusion of great reviews that they have posted themselves (anyone can an account with an email address and post a review).
