Waist of money you'll find a cheaper & much better company spent more than $4000 got 1 series lead when I stopped the service the wrote nansty review for a work I didn't do with no details when my score was 97 out of 100. That was on perpes to ruin my score.
Great company, on time and cost as quoted, very knowledgeable and professional people, I highly recommend them. They had to switch the door on the built-in Bosch fridge we got from CAS with it on the wrong side, among other issues. Elite is fantastic and were the bright light in the entire appliance buying fiasco we had been through with CAS. I highly recommend Elite Appliance Service without hesitation.
Businesses beware of this service! You pay them a fee and they put you up n there site… if you have a disagreement with a customer and they post a bad review even if it embellished as long as the customer has proof they communicated with you they will not remove the review! So your screwed!
Trust me your better of your have people review on your Facebook page or Instagram!

Servo Tech provided Great Service... I'm really happy that I found this guy. I had hard time to find a good technician and I did struggle with complains from my tenants in Lachine and LaSalle all the time.
Now after doing business with Danny, my phone stop ringing and I'm really happy.
I hope he will not change his prices now that he became very busy...
I do recommend him to anyone who need a good service and a real quality job...

We subscribed to a three month contract with Homestars, at which time we were to receive a call to from our rep to discuss options of continuing our service. In the meantime we were also to receive thankyou cards in the mail from Homestars to promote reviews and to post to our profile throughout the three months we received four emails confirming that the cards would be sent to us, but we never received the cards. We did not receive any calls from our rep prior or even after the three months, subsequently we were billed for the fourth month. It took an additional month of numerous calls and emails to the rep and our Homestars consultant to finally receive our refund. We ask our customers and in those three months we did not have one call come in from our Homestars website.
In our opinion they are eager to get you onboard, but once you are committed to, we did not think our monthly payment of 210.00 was working using Homestars.
They have removed my review only because their system is set up to reject any review that has a contact information. What's happened was we got ripped off by a company that was supposed to fix our cooktop that they accidentally broke the glass part of and never followed up to replace the broken cooktop. It's been 2 years since the incident and they don't care. The cooktop is a $2500 and we are stuck with a broken glass top. Now, I have read other negative reviews for that company and found that there are so many other people that got ripped off so I wanted to write a review including my email address for others to contact me so we could do a class lawsuit against the company and because I have included my email address, my review was removed by the system.I have complained to them so Home Stars manager did contact me just to say that their system is set up that way to remove any contact info. My reply is, we'll then set it up the way do the system accepts the review because right now Home Stars is protecting and promoting fraudulent companies. Having said all of the above I suggest anyone who considers to be a part of Home Stars community to stay away from these clowns. Home stars is a complete joke.
Yes, homestars.ca is biased. I tried to post a bad review for a company but homestars.ca denied it for various unspecified reasons. If a company pays to be a homestars.ca member there is a high probability that only the good reviews get posted.
They make you invisible unless you pay them at minimum $250 plus per month. They literally won't let you request reviews, post photos or even your logo unless you pay that much.
On top of that, they advertise your competitors on your own page unless you pay that much.
And then if you want to delete the page you made for your own business, they refuse to remove it.
Absolutely disgusting business.
I recently had a bad experience with Homestars over a bad experience I had with a company.
I wrote a negative review about a company that had many obvious fake positive reviews.
Homestars demanded I show them proof I was a customer of this company which would obviously void my anonymity and possibly start a lawsuit.
I was forced to refuse and they would not publish my negative review.
Is this how a company should handle negative reviews.
Do they do this with positive reviews of course not because nobody objects.
I think Homestars has it wrong and should fix their policy.
They even have an option to choose anonymity
I was starting to use homestars and unfortunately I found it a big waste of money last year as I was getting no jobs and paying them 400 a month for job leads.
My sales guy insisted I need better reviews said it could be me not getting quotes is my fault,I use Facebook and book jobs like no tomorrow have alot of good reviews on different sites homestars, Facebook,Google etc.
Another person just called this year and I'm very hesitant in signing up after I tell him it's not a good thing financially he just rushes off phone complete scammers all they want is money,infant they give all the work to people paying them better money don't sign up you will regret it.
I was scammed out of $600 for a painting service and when I tried to post my review they rejected it. I called their customer support and exchanged multiple emails with them and they stated they would not allow me to post a "harmful" review to the company... despite the company being fake. I was trying to help future customers avoid the scam and homestars did not care.
Contractors beware! If you have your business number on your website, Homestars will be calling. Over and over and over and over... I tell them I'm not interested, I tell them to put me on their do-not-call list, etc. They must be desperate for business.
As a female senior I was so pleased with Erik's professional work as well as being a pleasant young man to talk to. He shares what and why he is doing, in simple honest words. All the reviews are false. They are greatly influenced by the people who they reviewed. I have had roofers from them who were absolutely terrible( All start roofing) on there site they said they were the best but when I told them after the work was done that they had done a really bad job they basically said they don't recommend companies and it's not there problem. Don't use this site
A Mr. John Dima from Mr. Rooter Plumbing cleared the drain in my kitchen sink today. He was a very pleasant gentleman, was very tidy and thorough. I would highly reccomend this company for the excellent job that was done. I have to say that I was a little surprised that it cost me $301.99 for 1/2 hours work. Maybe I should have shopped around.
Empire Roofing company did an excellent job re-shingling my roof last weekend (May 16,2020) They repaired the roof where needed and did an amazing job cleaning up after they were finished. I highly recommend this company
I used Homestars to connect with a company called Maderaworx. I had nothing but problems with this company. It started with a 22 inch shower and ended with no safety bar and no sliding bar just to make the shower 26 inches. When I tried to review Maderaworx, I was unable to do a review in the Homestars page because my review was too negative. Homestars only let's you post factual information no negative. How can you give an honest review if you had a negative experience? Homestars sucks. Do not believe any of the reviews. Some of the companies have been in business for 20 plus years and only a handful of reviewers. I will never take a recommendation from homestars ever again and I will never deal with Maderaworx either.
We posted a negative review of One Landscape Design & Build in Peterborough, Ontario. Our experience with this business was a nightmare and we are incredibly disappointed with both the service and the landscaping done. Once we paid in full, we never saw One Landscape back onsite again... Our review of One Landscape was live on HomeStars until One Landscape created an account there. Suddenly, our review was removed and we have had no response to any inquiries with HomeStars about publishing our review. Our review was honest and met all HomeStars' criteria. We can support our claims with our invoice, photos and correspondence from other professional organizations as we seek to fix the multiple issues left as a result of One Landscape's poor work on our property.
I have been with homestars for about 6 months and have been trying to cancel my membership with them for months. Once you buy they are impossible to get ahold of. Extremely disappointed with this service and strongly recommend not using homestars for your business.
Emailed them saying I moved in the spring and call them often about canceling no one answers the phone either. Homestars is a subscription based platform with no clients and no staff but they charge you monthly to advertise once a year. Do not get involved in this scam you premote them and they charge you $500+ a month non-sence
