I had never ordered anything from the Emporium before and given I live in Australia I thought it may be a problem. Not only did the goods arrive as purchased, and described, quite quickly but they are of far superior quality than I expected for the price. The styles are unique, they are well constructed and sizing is extremely accurate. Try buying something from those bloody Chinese and find out how bad sizing can be! I will be visiting the site and purchasing more in the future. One point of constructive criticism. Your website presentation does not match the quality of the garments I purchased so please spend the time and money to present your merchandise in a more flattering fashion commensurate with their quality.
My youngest daughter is getting married and she trimmed her budget in a number of ways. She wanted me to wear slacks, vest, dress shirt and tie. When I stumbled across Historical Emporium I knew I had found what I wanted to buy. The staff was incredibly helpful regarding their products and especially the sizing. The vest is so much better than anything else I saw in Big Box stores or online from other vendors, and I was treated like a king by their customer service. I highly recommend contacting the crew at Historical Emporium and throwing them your business. You won't regret it.
There is nothing more than I can really say about The Emporium. It's clothing line is beyond fantastic. When it comes to their products no other company compares. They offer absolute top notch quality as well unique style and character unmatched anywhere else on the market. Honestly they could sell their product for three times as much and no one should complain. But they're affordable prices makes it that much more enjoyable purchasing from them. The items are always shipped in a box and packaged securely. When it comes to their clothing line and customer service I've yet to be disappointed. They should expect long-term patronage from me. You guys are always wonderful. Your products are top notch, a good value, and quick to ship. When I wanted to know if any of your spats would be a good match for a certain ascot, I reached out to customer service and revived the very honest answer of 'not really, no' along with an assessment of how each option matched up and recommendations on the most suited. In a world where many sales people will spin things to get you to make a purchase even if it's not what you need, I appreciate that beyond words and am still giving serious thought to the matter.
Getting married at the end of this year and it is a gothic Victorian wedding. I bought every item and some extra bit I required from the Emporium. Within a week it was delivered! Great service, brilliant packaging no messing about. Easy measuring instructions too. Pity can't get the same service in United Kingdom! Thanks Guys!
Ordering on their website is easy and straight-forward. My purchase was sent out quickly. Great experience. I'll keep Western Emporium in mind when friends and relatives are looking for a large variety of wares; i.e. Costumes. I have not purchased costumes but I would recommend that you visit their website for amateur and professional costume needs.
Price, order processing,shipping time was great. Contacted customer service to return holster/belt and they were accommodating yet not surprised or very concerned the holster does not fit the pistol stated.
We ordered SO many items from you. I love them all and everything fit well with some minor alterations. We had dresses, skirts, aprons, and tons of men's vests, pants, and suit coats. Lengths were good. Quality of stitching is great. Every item has lasted through a 3 week performance schedule and 1 week of rehearsals.

I have been involved with historical re-enacting and dancing for decades, on ice and ballroom, and, for most of the time, did my own sewing of vests, uniforms, tails, etc. However, for a Victorian era ball, time was short, less than ten days, my clothes were 'tighter', needed a solution, so I hit the web.
Historical Emporium came up, the reviews looked legit, the clothing had the right 'look', pricing was reasonable, so, using suggestions from the comments about sizing, I ordered a complete outfit, including a proper top hat.
Everything arrived, via ground, in less than a week, and all of it actually fit!
I recently received my inverness cape and love it. I've been looking at it for a while and finally purchased one with some money from Christmas. Delivery was very quick. Though I haven't been able to wear it yet I'm looking forward to it. Seems very well made. It is very roomy as some have reviewed but is meant to be draped not fitted. I'm 5'10" at 150 lbs. and the length hits just below mid calf. Plenty of length to cover my $#*!ens inspired burgundy tail coat in which one of my sister in-laws custom made. Will give another review after getting some use.

Beautiful products - excellent materials, workmanship and attention to period detail. I had to exchange an item for a different size with less than a week before Halloween, and they accommodated me beautifully.

I would say my own criticism is that you can't easily shop and compare different colors or options of any product. If you select a jacket or vest in one color or fabric, it is very difficult to see similar options. The colors are all posted separately and away from one another.

I had a general idea of what I needed. The customer support person was very helpful in helping me refine my selections without placing unwanted pressure to buy more. She was knowledgeable and courteous. She balanced the professionalism you must have with being personable and fun. Great selection and services. I'd like the prices to be a little lower, but the quality is excellent. I will be returning here for future purchases.
