I return the item and requested a larger size. Normally I don't order item on-line for this very reason the sized vary from designer to designer. The cost to return the item, increased the overall price, and the possibility I might need to return the items again, paying return fees, was an eye opener. This will be prevent me from placing orders in the future. I will order from companies that have free shipping for merchandise and the ability to print pre-paid return labels.

I love this place. I found them on line after searching for authentic East Coast Swing outfits. They have much more! For the authenticity the prices are outstanding. The customer service and returns were simple. I ordered some pants that fit just right but with 5 more pounds and a wash and dry I was afraid they would be too small. I returned one pair for a larger size and the other pair felt a little itchy so I asked for a refund. They provided it and sent it back to me on my PayPal with a curteous email to let me know. I will be back and i cant wait for what I will purchase

I can only say one negative thing about my experience with GE and that is something that GE do not even have any influence on: The shipping prices (to Europe in my case). Other than that I am so generously satisfied once again, owed to the great quality products, the wonderful personal and very friendly customer service, as well as the well organized webpage presentation of the products, background information and other very useful stuff.
Some people repeatedly state that some products seem to be darker when they arrive than they appear on the pictures. I made the same experience, but I know that GE take these photos using extra bright light so that we customers are able to get a better look at them and can be sure that no shadows will hide things that we might not be satisfied with. I am totally happy with that. Also I do not believe the differences in colour are that fatal, if at all.
Also, now knowing my sizing better, the new clothes I ordered had a perfect fit, also thanks to a great counsel on the phone. Thank you, Gentleman's Emporium, I will order again and recommend you to everybody who is into 19th century clothing.

I recently discovered the gentlemansemporium.com website. I spent several hours pouring over the exhaustive inventory of all things SteamPunk. I didn't even get to the other costume categories! In the website I was delighted with the variety of choices, and the availability of sizes for all customers who might be interested in purchasing some very cool clothing! Also, the Accessories almost were more exciting than the clothing. I WILL be back very soon to add new items to my infant SteamPunk collection. BTW: The items I ordered arrived BEFORE most stores notify me that they are getting ready to think about posting my items. I love this website/store!
