The quality is excellent and the clothes were well worth the price. I was extremely happy with the customer service that I received. I had to return one shirt as it was too small for my daughter and she decided she preferred a different style. The return was handled extremely promptly which was impressive, given this was during the Christmas season. The sizes of the clothes do run a little on the small side so it is worth buying a size up from what you would normally buy.
I ordered a vest which is better than what I had expected in terms of quality and fit. I mistakenly ordered the wrong size and I sent an email advising of my mistake about an hour after placing the order. It was after business hours, but first thing the next morning a customer service rep advised me he had corrected my order and it would be ready to ship. I've recommended you to friends. Great service and great products.
This was my first time.
I thought the website user-friendly and I was delighted, most of all, with the quality, selection and options of the clothing. Sizes are accurate, which really made for a great experience.
I figured I'd be returning something for a bad fit, etc., but no, all was well and I could use everything just as it came out of the box. Nice!

Outstanding customer service! I had second thoughts about a size of garment ordered and when I contacted customer service to correct my mistake they were friendly, Professional and very efficient.
My order was received in an unbelievably short amount of time and all the items were of outstanding quality and value.
I received on garment (other than the one I requested a size change) which did not fit properly due to my mistake. When I followed the return instructions my money was refunded quickly, efficiently and with no questions asked.
Once again, outstanding service and products!
Jaime at customer service is a doll! I suffer from Lyme Disease & suffered brain damage 13 years ago. Sometimes I 'need help' understanding exactly what I am getting. I am now a repeat buyer. I would recommend this site to anyone that wants a beautiful product as well as first class service.
I received the outfit for an occasion my husband and I will be attending. It was the wrong "period" which was my fault. The customer service representative, Marie, could not have been pleasant and helpful. She went out of her way to make suggestions to me. I wish there more Marie's in this world! She deserves a raise!

I am very impressed with the quality of the clothing from Historical Emporium. Well worth the price. And when I had a question about a product I called customer service and the agent actually went into the warehouse to take a look at the item in question to make sure she gave me accurate information. You just don't see service like that very often! Highly recommended.

I originally measured my waist at 40" for the Callahan pants.
The pants were super huge so I ordered 38, though they fit I still need suspenders to keep them from falling to my knees but I kept them since they will be part of my fencing uniform and i need room for lunges.
I will order another pair at 36" and hope they will be just right for wearing and lunging
I don't think this sizing issue is unique to them as I measure 40" but I always buy my Levis jeans at 34"
Don't be fooled by the sizing chart just order your normal jean size and you should be ok.
If i'm wrong they do exchange them quickly. From CA to NY in just a few days!

I sent the incorrect coat back...and was promptly sent the correct size, but not billed for the return shipping fees. I am very impressed with the Historical Emporium's way of doing business...and with the staff.

Awesome quality product! I ordered a black John Bull top hat, and it is beautiful! The sizing was spot on, it arrived much more quickly than I imagined, and in perfect condition. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was more than impressed with both the materials and workmanship, and will gladly recommend Historical Emporium to my friends and colleagues!
I asked them for a photo of my kit before I bought it to check colours and so on and I was very quickly obliged. THAT is service in my opinion. The fit of the jacket I bought was a bit large as was the vest but this is the kind of chance you take when buying on line. I had them altered locally without difficulty. The quality and price are well worth it. Variety is top drawer. I highly recommend this site to anyone needing the right clothes to go with their goggles and gears. Bravo Gentleman's Emporium!
I have worn your pants for nearly ten years. The waists run at least two inches too small and the pants are cut a little too snugly for free movement. A seamstress who does custom period dresses for my wife said the pants of that era were worn loosely by the soldiers. I use these pants for period era competitive target shooting and I need to be able to bend over and squat comfortably. I normally wear a 34-35 waist pant and to get a comfortable fit for movement, I now need to order a 40 inch waist in your sizes. The pants are well made and very attractive, but the cut is too tight for the range of movement that my sport demands without bumping up my waist size by 4 to 5 inches. Your customer service is outstanding.
I wanted a new dashing vest to wear during the summer but first contacted customer service because I did not know what fabric would be light enough for the summer heat. Customer service responded within a day with their recommendations and even sent me a link of all the vests that matched the fabrics. I found a classy vest and I received it quickly. I love this site.
I am a returning customer, reason for this the customer service and quality of products. I have contacted the customer service to help me to in building a character wardrobe and also to gain knowledge on a particular item of clothing. The personnel at historical emporium take the time to discuss your ideas or answer any question you have to your satisfaction, they are never in a hurry. I ordered 2 vests online while talking to a representative via phone at the same time. She answered all my questions that I needed to know about a product. Placed the order that day and 3 days later I received my order. Vest's fit perfectly, well-made, and looks good. The 2 vets that I just ordered from Gentleman's Emporium now make 6 total. I'm sure I'll shop again.

It was easy to chose what I needed. The pricing is very reasonable and shipping,etc... was very quick. There is also a terrific variety of products which makes one stop shopping much easier than going to different sites,etc... I am very pleased ---
Items arrived very fast and were of excellent quality. I wish I could wear them as every day clothes, but I would look a bit strange. I had a quick question prior to ordering and had great customer service getting my questions answered.
Amazing quick service, items are well made and fit perfect. I was upset that on delivery i had to pay $78.00 duty on a order valued at $270 because the goods were made outside of the USA which i was not prepared for.
Loved the quality! The large sizes were just a little larger than I expected but easy to take in. Washing didn't shrink them much. Well worth the money! The order was divided into two and both halves came much faster than I anticipated.
