Historical Emporium

I've ordered several items from Historical Emporium for an Old West Saloon party we have every year. Each time, the product has been delivered earlier than expected and I've been very impressed with the quality. It's not costume quality clothing, but a very well made product. There was something wrong with the address on the last order I placed and someone contacted me asap. When I emailed back to provide the correct address, someone got back to me within the hour and my order was on its way, again delivered earlier than stated. It's rare to get that great of customer service anymore. I'll continue to use this company for all of our events!

Amazing. Not only do you have the right merchandise at reasonable prices, but you really do provide first rate customer service. I have bought a variety of items from you. I recently ordered a vest in the size I would normally wear. When it arrived it was crazy small, though marked the appropriate size. When I called, the customer service person actually went and checked to see if there had been a problem in that lot. She discovered that all the vests of that type were wrongly sized and immediately made it right. I just plain like you folks!

The customer service reps that I had the pleasure of speaking with were very professional and knowledgeable. Had a size issue on one item but it was my mistake. Returned it and ordered the correct size with no problems or issues. I am very satisfied with everything I purchased and will be a repeat customer! Highly recommend buying hard to find items from this company. Their selection of old west clothing and merchandise is excellent at a very fair price!

I called the store worried about whether or not I was going to receive everything on time. I forget the guys name, but he could have tried to get me to pay more by saying I should pay for the more expensive shipping. But he reassured me that just standard shipping would be okay. I really appreciated his help. Everything arrived on time. Everything looked exactly like the pictures online. Knickers run a little smaller then the actual size, but they still fit okay... so I didn't send anything back. But next time... I'd probably buy 1 size bigger. Prices are okay for the quality. I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

First off, now that I have what I want, I'm very happy. Unfortunately it took 3 months and I had to ship back and forth three times at a cost of an extra $100.
Not too happy with the cost, but sometimes that's just the way it goes. I thought maybe I'd receive a extra gift of some kind. I'm not sure what I expected, but I do feel a bit short changed.
Hopefully if I purchase something else, all will go smooth.
This was originally a gift from my daughter. That alone makes the whole process worth it.
The belt and holster fit me and my revolver perfect. I'll get a lot of use and fun out of the rig. The leather and quality of the workmanship is excellent.

I thought the vintage bathing suits were well made, authentic, and fairly priced. I'm an author/illustrator and purchased these for children to wear for my next book which takes place in the early 1900's. I use photographs for the illustrations which I digitally alter to look like drawings so clothing and props are very much a part of my work. I thought the pantaloons were very overpriced as they are just plain fabric with no decoration.

Historical Emporium Stores have a good variety of products. However, I find the products are if poor design and lacked attention to details, especially in the cuttings of the vests, pants, etc. It appeared that the products started with one set of cutting for a certain size, and all other sizes were either lengthened or shortened without that people come in all sizes. An XXL shorten to L or S would not give you the right proportion and make the products look ridiculous on a person.
The products would have been priced reasonably given proper attention to the details, however, the products that I have received including vests and pants are not worth the money. Services provided by staff are prompt.

I added to an order and that delayed it. When I called in because I didn't see any shipping details this time (I've purchased 2 or 3 times before), they said there was a mistake made in shipping & they would correct it. I only needed the one item for the party, but they shipped the entire order overnight. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality, customer service, speed of shipping, etc. Bravo guys for being a company that still believes in customer service.

I am very impressed with the quality, workmanship, and the detailing of the outfits we have received. I could literally walk onto a movie set with this ensemble. You could not find an outfit of this quality at a neighborhood Halloween store. I must say, that the shipping was expedient. We received our order at least one week earlier than expected. The Late Victorian dress is truly authentic for the time period. I have been suggesting this site to everyone. Thank you for your excellent work.
