Historical Emporium

Needed interpretative/costume attire for a special event in a historic village. Quality of the clothing exceeded expectation. Delivery arrived earlier than expected. Had to return one item due to my ordering the incorrect size, and process was easy and new product delivered quickly enough to meet my short time frame.
Very pleased with everything aspect of the shopping experience and the merchandise. Will recommend to others and use again.

The gentleman who helped me sounded as though he was right next to me. Both in vocal quality and his ability to listen his presence had an immediacy and focus that let me know his goal was to help me find the best combination and fit. While there was one minor issue that was resolved quickly and easily. The customer service is like the hat I wore...top!

At the ball where the outfit was worn many compliments were offered. Other guests were especially impressed by the pattern and material of the red Baker City vest and the contrasting puff tie. The outfit helped make for a grand and special evening.

Customer service was wonderful, answered my question regarding choosing a blouse for a certain period quickly. Love the Darlington blouse! Material, workmanship and fit are very good. The bonnet is a wee bit large, but is also well made.
I was surprised (and pleased) when my order arrived in just a few days. There are so many beautiful things on your web site, and I found it easy to use.
A *little* disappointed to find both items on sale the following week, but so it goes. I will happily be a return customer!

Never replied to the email I sent, I had to email a second time. Once answered, the person was very courteous and professional. I have still not received one item in my order (old west leg cuffs) which were out of stock. I emailed 10 days ago to find out when they will come in. Still no answer to that email to this date. As far as the products - Absolutely fantastic! Great quality, great fit - very authentic. I will be purchasing from you in the future (but please do better with email replies)!

I do a historical impersonation of Minnesota's 1st First Lady, Sarah Sibley, which is given to students at various schools in my area. This year I decided to enhance my costume. First I ordered just the Victorian touring hat. I was so pleased with that purchase I then ordered the black high top shoes and a blouse. All purchases arrived within a few days. The individuals taking my order over the phone were extremely helpful.
I am VERY satisfied with my new costume pieces!

Our wedding was western casual. I found Historical Emporium through a web search, when at the last minute I decided, that I wanted an historical western shirt to wear with boots and jeans. After perusing your many online choices, I ordered the Floyd Side-Button Shirt. It arrived promptly within days, fit perfectly, and looked fantastic. Hands-down, if you want to turn heads, this is a game changer. In fact, so many of the ladies at the reception complimented me in it and wanted to know where I bought it, that I should be on your pay roll!

I rate the blouse itself five stars. It is really lovely and fits well. It does come a bit small, as we were warned, so ordering the large size proved wise.

The reason I lowered my ratings of your service was because of your irritating, aggressive advertising. Ever since I ordered the blouse, I have been besieged with hundreds of pop-up advertisements featuring this blouse and other similar ones. I realize that you need to advertise, but this overly aggressive advertising is irritating rather than compelling.

At the last minute I decided on a size change and requested it via email. The change was easily made which saved me a lot of grief in returning the product. I've ordered a number of items over the past few years to be used as costumes in plays. I've never had a complaint with the products I've received, the quick shipping or the customer service. I even get speak to a person when I call. Thanks a million for making my actors look so good!

My first order was shipped on the same day as ordered and delivered in two days. At first, I thought many items were a bit pricey, but after seeing the quality of the items ordered I was convinced it was certainly worth the cost to get quality items. I'm am extremely please with everything ordered and received so far. I will most certainly be purchasing additional items and highly recommend this site for quality period clothing. These products are the real deal, actual durable clothing and not just costume stuff.

I initially bought the Newsboy brown wool tweed cap. Although I only paid for standard shipping it was sent via 2-day delivery. The hat is of excellent quality, fits as it should and looks great.
I was so impressed that I immediately ordered the same cap in the grey version. It also arrived within a couple of days.
Given the excellent product and the equally excellent service I will undoubtedly be ordering again very soon.
Now the hard part, deciding what I want next...it's getting to be a long list.
