The price was a bit expensive on some items but you get a quality garment that can be worn many times over. We loved the items and if need arises will be repeat customers. I also talked with them directly about needing the items shipped immediately because the event was that very week, they had everything available and we got our costume delivered a day before. Just as promised. Love that! I never felt the need to review anything before but this company really impressed me. So first review goes to them!
My husband's job requires a dress-casual wardrobe. The vests sold by gentleman's emporium add just the right touch of style and polish without being too formal. We initially ordered a medium size which proved to be too big for him, and we had no problem with the exchange -- in fact the person I spoke to by phone offered to process the replacement immediately so we'd have the new vest as quickly as possible. The smaller size is perfect, and my husband is delighted. Thanks for your prompt and friendly service!
Delivery time was exceptional. As I ordered two items - different sizes- they were packaged together and a credit was given on the shipping charges. Great service!

The Historical Emporium has excellent customer service and quality products. I did not contact customer service for the most recent purchase, but they were very helpful and knowledgeable about sizing with my initial purchases. I just wish the Lamar style shirt came in more colors than red or black.

Super fast shipping across the country. I purchased a cut away coat, vest and tie for an historical portrayal our community presents in our founders' cemetery. My costume was a big hit (as well as my superb acting, of course).
The Emporium is a great place to shop. I have had nothing but good experiences with service and products. I am a faithful customer. Dealing with returns for different reasons, is completely simply. It makes life easy. Very user friendly.
Customer service was excellent. Eve took the time to actually open a pair of pants and measure them to make sure that the waist would fit on the ones she sent in exchange. Although I measured myself according to the website instructions, the pants were over two sizes too small. She placed the 30 waist with 32 and there is no room for weight gain in them. I'd say that they are also a bit tight, but, I'll keep them.
I was so pleased to find Steam-punk items at such great prices!
Using walking canes can be quite noticeable and the canes are often drab.
The Gentleman's Emporium canes are conversation piece in themselves.

I was very pleased with both the customer service and the product. The Dragon Vest is beautiful, and it showed up in time for my husband's birthday (even though I ordered only a few days prior!). I've had just one product purchase I was less than 100% pleased with, and that's a small issue I hope to remedy myself by treating the shoes (they creak terribly!). Otherwise, I've rarely been so pleased with any online business!

These trousers were purchased for my husband who works at a Victorian era Western park. There he teaches gold panning, and runs both a carousel and a small ferris wheel.
He loves the fit of the pants once shortened by a tailor. We were very pleased with the fast delivery only 6 days after ordering.
We are both hoping that the crimson ones he just received this week, do not fade as quickly as the black ones he bought 6 months ago.
All is well with this order...two orders really. I ordered a 40" holster being careful to follow your measuring instructions, but the belt was too big and barely stayed up in the tightest notch. I simply ordered another at 38" and returned the first order once it was received. The second try fit great, and the quality seems to be outstanding. Thank you.
The pants fit very well but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fact they have no pockets. This was a surprise to me. I wonder what gentlemen did to accommodate their personal items like handkerchiefs, combs, wallets etc in days of old. I guess I'll purchase a men's pocketbook if there is such a thing. The pants are lined and the material is pretty good quality.
Well, these guy and gals are the real deal. No skimping. What is said, "You get what you pay for?" True. Come on and get on board.
