The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

The overall experience was great. Products are good. Description is good. Bidding is easy to follow. Quick emails for booking times for picks up great. Really enjoying the experience
Nice platform. The only suggestion I have is to include a time when the end of bidding starts.
Hibid was great till I had a issue with a auction company riping me off they put my account as pending. Now I can't even bid on auctions they take the auction house word. Don't even reach out to the bidder ask full story. I bid on here all the time had no issues till. I got ripped off sold junk didn't work from auction company. Hibid hold on my account let auction house screw with my livly hood. I use site make money resale no can't use because hibid ban my account. Because I left a bad review for the auction company.

When bidded items are close together, time goes fast on others one is bidding on, rather hectic.
From start to finish I couldn't ask for a more smooth transaction. Thanks for the great auction and purchased some more hard to find items for my collection.
Had issues with payment charged being higher than bids and customer service couldn't help said needed to talk to auctioneer
We apologize for the delayed response, Jory, and understand your frustration. Payment issues can be frustrating, especially when charges are higher than expected. While HiBid acts as a platform for auctions, auctioneers are responsible for their payment processes, and we recommend contacting them directly to address any discrepancies. If you need assistance reaching out to the auctioneer or have further questions, please feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll do our best to help. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are more positive.
This is a great source of auctions occuring in my local area, I love how diverse the auctions can be and the site here is smooth and easy to use easy to register and bid with.
While bidding on several instances of the same product It was difficult to see, which one was winning because of the timers… I would suggest breaking them up with a different product… Thank you
Also, I want to commend the staff at the pick up site. They were Great!
As I understand the rules. If a bid came in within the last 60seconds that it would extend the bidding process by 3 minutes to allow for additional bids. I had bid on the 1882 Carson City Morgan silver dollar and had the winning bid until the last 10seconds. Then someone sniped the bid up 1 dollar extended the count down clock the 3 minutes. I tried to bid multiple times immediately and it wouldn't let me bid additionally although the clock that was extended kept counting down. The other bidder won the auction for just 1 dollar more. I was locked out and very angry to have lost it due to this issue. Had I been able to remove other bids from the format of the other items I won, you would not have sold me anything. The Morgan was the first thing to close. I'm contemplating contacting HiBid about this!
We apologize for the delayed response, Alvin, and understand your frustration. It sounds like you experienced an issue with the extended bidding feature, which is meant to allow time for additional bids when a bid is placed in the last moments of an auction. If you were unable to place your bid while the countdown was extended, we recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for clarification on the bidding process, as they set the rules for their auctions. If you need further assistance or have additional concerns, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help facilitate communication. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to resolve your concerns.
My experience with Treasure Hunters Auctions was amazing, however not so much with EC Auctions out of Stafford, Tx. With EC Auctions I won several Auctions that they then didn't accept, then they were auctioning off broken electronics and not advertising it. Once contacted they failed to return my call or email.
We apologize for the delayed response, Kyle, and understand your frustration. We’re glad to hear that your experience with Treasure Hunters Auctions was positive, but we’re sorry to hear about the issues with EC Auctions. Auctioneers are responsible for accurately describing their items and fulfilling their sales, and we understand how disappointing it can be when communication is lacking. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer for resolution, but if you're not receiving a response, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are more positive.
I bid on 3 boxes of factory ammunition, according to the description, and won all three.
I drove 2 1/2 hours to pick them up but there was NO ammunition, just empty brass.
The auctioneer (Spear Auctioneer, Russellville AR) just said "Oh we're sorry, we e thought it was loaded ammunition".
Forty dollars in gas and five hours of driving.
Total incompetency.
We apologize for the delayed response, Martin, and are truly sorry to hear about your experience. It’s unacceptable for the auctioneer to provide inaccurate descriptions, especially for something as important as ammunition. Auctioneers are responsible for accurately representing the items they list, and we understand your frustration with the inconvenience and expense this caused. We recommend contacting the auctioneer directly for a resolution, and if you're not receiving a response, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope this issue is resolved quickly.
I have yet to find an easy way to locate the auctions I'm looking for. Maybe I am impatient, but having to wait while the site grinds through pages to get me where I want to go is not ideal.
We apologize for the delayed response, Mitchell, and appreciate your feedback. It sounds like there may have been some internet or connection issues that caused delays while navigating the site. If you're still having trouble, we recommend ensuring a stable connection or trying the mobile web version for a smoother experience. If you continue to experience difficulties, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’d be happy to assist you. Thank you for your input, and we hope your future experiences are more seamless!
Today, June 30 I went to an auction online on two cordless drills with the battery did not win the bid approximately four hours later I received a bill from the company stating that I owe them $290 for shipping and handling and for lot number 077; Again, I did not win lot number zero77 at that auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Osby, and understand your frustration. It seems like there was a mix-up with the auction or billing details. Auctioneers are responsible for ensuring that billing and shipping information is accurate, and we encourage you to contact the auctioneer directly to clarify this issue. If you need assistance or are unable to get in touch with the auctioneer, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope this issue is resolved quickly.
The lot I bid on appeared to be bid for lot. There was no explanation of bid per piece in lot. Most likely my fault for lack of due diligence. There was also poor communication with the auction in response to questions about the lots.
We apologize for the delayed response, Jared, and understand your frustration. Auctioneers are responsible for providing clear descriptions and communicating important details about their lots, including pricing information. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for clarification on the lot and bid details. If you're still having difficulty getting a response or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother.
First time using Hi Bid. Had questions called Stacy. She was polite and professional. She addressed all my concerns. She's definitely an asset to your company.
The auction proceeded smoothly. I bid on 2 items and won! Great experience!
Started doing this because I saw a sign for an auction of Pasco County equipment and wanted to try for one of their trucks. I didn't win anything in that auction, but I learned a bit, and am now branching out into other areas such as collectibles and deeply discounted household items. Still working on that truck, too!
Efficiently ran without issues.
Pick-up location was easily accessed.
Friendly staff collected my items and I signed and was out the door in 10 minutes!
I definitely mean all due respect, but pictures alone do not tell the facts. When one lives 50 miles away, and can only bid sight unseen, it would be very good to have more in depth details about the items, other than "new". Clearly the item I picked up was not "new". The world won't come to an end, but I know I must be extra extra careful about bidding now. I know it's the buyers responsibility to "preview" the auction items before the auction, so I take full responsibility of course. But much better descriptions would be a great help. It's probably best to stay with local auctions. Thanks so much!
We apologize for the delayed response, Michelle, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how important it is to have clear, detailed descriptions, especially when bidding from a distance. Auctioneers are responsible for providing accurate and thorough descriptions, and we agree that more detailed information would be beneficial for bidders. We encourage you to reach out to the auctioneer directly for clarification or additional details on the items. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
As a person who is new to online auctions,I have to say that HiBid has made it easy for me to locate many different auctions. I have learned to be careful and wary of items with bad photos. Items are as is and sometimes photos don't show the damage. I recently bid on two rollerblades and upon pick up found both to be damaged beyond use. I was a little surprised that an auction house would list something so damaged. But that is no reflection on HiBid. After all they don't actually run the auctions themselves. I had one issue when trying to bid on items with the RSM auction. My bids were kept pending all day until the auction closed so all of my bids were rejected which I found extremely frustrating. Overall I have found some lovely things and would recommend HiBid to anyone looking to enter the auction world.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Alan, and appreciate your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the registration and bidding processes were smooth for you. Regarding your suggestion, the auction end times are typically listed in the auction details. If you ever have trouble finding this information, it’s always a good idea to check the auction details page for the specific end time.
