The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Fun and profitable. Items were as described. Easy pickup, no hassle and help loading items.
I enjoy the auctions. I really like this one because the ham radios are all tested so I don't feel like I'll get scammed. I got one of the beat deals I've seen on the internet on the one item I pursued.
Hibid app kept going down and eventually I had to get on thru the internet because the app would not let me in anymore. But after auctions were over I could get back in on the app. This seems to happen everytime I'm bidding on a aution.
I won a few items that were not delivered. I contacted the shipping company and they told me to contact the auction company which should have made a claim. I contacted the auction company and they stated that everything was was loaded onto the delivery truck. No response since. Same auction company I bought 2 paintings from and ups was going to charge 500 dollars to ship 2 infrared paintings in state. I told ups to keep them 65 dollars for paintings and 500 dollars to ship. Someone is getting a kickback
The app should give notifications when a watched item is going to expire. The app also glitches and force closes very often. If you go into an auction to look at items, and then go back to the auction list, they appear out of order so you will get lost on which ones you've already clicked on and seen. Otherwise, it allows for seamless bidding and payment.
Hi Daniel, thank you for your thoughtful feedback, and we’re glad to hear that overall the bidding and payment process worked well for you. We appreciate you pointing out the issues you experienced with notifications, app stability, and navigation—especially during your experience last August.
Since then, the HiBid mobile app has been discontinued, and we now recommend using a mobile browser like Chrome or Safari for the best experience. We’ve made several updates to improve performance and usability, and your input helps guide future improvements.
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774.
I had no issues with bidding once I found the auctioneer I was looking for. Main screen is a little too filled with "stuff", making the information I was looking for lost among the clutter that is not necessary.
I accidentally made a bid on a fake item and could not figure out how to contact someone at HiBid about this person selling fake items. Nobody would answer my phone call within business hours
Hi Boedy, we’re sorry to hear about your experience last August and the difficulty you had reaching someone regarding your concern. Each seller on HiBid is independently responsible for the items they list, but we absolutely take reports of potentially fraudulent or misrepresented items seriously.
If you ever encounter an issue like this again, please reach out directly to our support team at 844-775-4774 or by submitting a request through the Help section on HiBid.com. We’re here to help and can work with you to report and escalate concerns to the appropriate parties.
As items I bid on started closing, the site locked an I had to restart. I was then able to update bids but a few items I was trying to increase my bid gave me an error, "oops it looks like the bidding may have closed", even though when I went back to the item page the clock was still active.
Hi Jonathan, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced while bidding last August. What you described—where bidding appeared open but returned an error—is likely due to a delay in page refresh during the final countdown. We understand how frustrating that can be, especially when you're actively trying to place bids.
Since then, we’ve made updates to improve performance and bid timing visibility, particularly during high-traffic closing periods. If you run into anything similar in the future, our support team is available at 844-775-4774 and happy to assist.
I had go exit out of the system several & go back in. Other people experienced similar problems.
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry to hear the system was freezing up during your auction back in August. We understand how frustrating that can be—especially when timing is critical during bidding. We’ve since made several updates aimed at improving system stability and performance, particularly on mobile devices.
If you ever encounter similar issues in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774 so we can look into it right away.
I was fortunate enough to win several items. Everything went smoothly and enjoyed having time to up my bid at the end. Well done!
Got a couple cars off Gary's, worse mistake I've ever done, they sold me 3 cars and they posted them as clean title, but when you go to mvd they tell you that Gary's makes there own titles and change stuff on it, don't do business here
Most recently I participated in 2 online auctions closing within a day of each other. The first, Key Online auctions forwarded unpaid invoice almost immediately asking to check for accuracy and advising that customers who required shipping to call an employee the next day. I did so and corrected invoice and completed payment within 10 minutes. The second auction, Affordable Creations, said to email as they were so busy and this more efficient. I spent hours compiling email saying wanted shipment insured and asking for gift boxes and that I wished to charge purchases to a US $ Visa or complete a US $ etransfer. Instead they charged my purchases on my Cdn dollars Visa so I've been charged with high conversion rate plus credit card fee. I've never had this happen where an auction house charges before verifying with customer amount charged is correct or I would have switched payment info when I registered to bid. Disappointed with customer service and frustrated with process used by Affordable Creations. I doubt I'll ever purchase from Affordable Creations again.
Hi Joann,
Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with Affordable Creations last August. Each auctioneer on HiBid manages their own invoicing and payment process, including how they handle post-sale communication and payment methods. That said, we understand how disappointing it must have been to be charged before confirming the accuracy of your invoice—especially when currency conversion and fees are involved.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’ll be sure to share your experience with the appropriate teams. If you ever run into a similar issue in the future or need help reaching a seller, our support team is available at 844-775-4774.
Hello,
I participated in an auction yesterday and am showing to have won a table I never placed a bid on. The table in question is
6c - CM2158 Maribelle 7-Piece Farmhouse Dining Set
I did however place bids on a different table being
Lot #: 75dl - CM2158 COTTAGE STYLE 6-PIECE TABLE AND CHAIR SET
I don't need both tables and don't understand how a bid was placed in my name for the first table mentioned. Can you please look into this and rectify the situation if possible?
Kind regards,
Brandon Tanguy
This is the message I sent to the auctioneer responsible for the auction and no response has been received. I've been charged in full including the dining set I didn't bid on. This needs to be rectified as soon as possible.
Hi Brandon, thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry to hear about the situation you faced last August. While each auction is independently managed—including bidding records and billing—we completely understand how frustrating it must have been not to receive a response from the seller regarding an item you didn’t intend to purchase.
If this issue wasn’t resolved at the time, or if you still need assistance, we encourage you to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We’re always here to help however we can.
The process was easier than I anticipated and I got some great deals on some great products - THANK YOU!
I bid on a few items on an auction held by Treasuries LLC. The auction, according to the information was to be on 7/21 at 11am est. However, on 7/21 around noon, the date of the auction was suddenly changed to 7/28 at 11am est. When I woke up on 7/22 I found that I had been outbid on everything overnight, many of them doubling in price. Every other auction I have bid on has been great. Its sad to see this happen. The HiBid site has been great overall.
Count down to 2 minutes and i started bidding. The auction then jammed my account and i couldnt bid. Screen greyed out alittle and bid button became useless. This tactic is done at another major auction house to stop other bidders. Its too bad for the sellers. I will not buy from this auction again. Bought one small item but didnt get the cargo trailer.
Hi Trevor, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you faced while bidding last August—what you described isn’t how the system is intended to function.
We understand how frustrating that must’ve been. Since then, we’ve made several updates to improve performance, especially during the final moments of bidding. If you ever run into a similar issue, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774 so we can take a closer look.
I miss some of your competitor's features such as seeing real time how many bidders are watching the auction, seeing the winning bid prices including mine, knowing if I won an item instead of "May have won"
Thank you for your feedback, Ken. You can actually see the number of bids coming in during an auction, but keep in mind that new bidders can join at any time. The "May have won" status means that the auction is still finalizing, and you would need to contact the seller directly for the final confirmation. We appreciate your suggestions and will share them with our team for future improvements. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input!
Big disappointment. One item that I purchased is not working at all which is extremely disappointing: Electric Pole Saw.
We apologize for the delayed response, Andrzej, and are truly sorry to hear about the issue with your purchase. It's disappointing to receive an item that isn’t working as expected. Auctioneers are responsible for accurately describing and testing their items, and we encourage you to reach out to the auctioneer directly to address this issue. If you need further assistance or have trouble contacting them, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope this issue is resolved quickly.
Had a lot of glitches through out auction 7 which required refreshing the page do to lockup which took roughly 2 minutes before able to bid again. Would like an email sent when I have placed a winning bid, not just when out bid. Had to call auctioneer to get invoice with pickup location address.
We apologize for the delayed response, D B., and understand your frustration with the glitches you encountered during the auction. When you win a bid, you will receive an email once the seller sends the invoice. If you didn't receive an invoice or confirmation, we recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer for further details. For smoother bidding, refreshing the page and ensuring a stable internet connection can help. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
Hi Brynt, thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced using the HiBid app during bidding last August. We understand how frustrating that must have been—especially when timing is critical. Since that time, the HiBid mobile app has been discontinued. For the best experience moving forward, we recommend accessing HiBid through a mobile browser like Chrome or Safari, which allows full functionality for bidding and account access. If you ever need assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774—we’re always happy to help.
